Search

Search every post Socialpruf has indexed, flip between content and accounts, and stack filters for platform, creator type, audience and performance.

Running a search

Discover search, showing content results with the filter panel open

Search sits directly below Home in the left navigation bar, and it holds every search you make, whether you started it here, on the home page, or inside a board. Type what you're looking for and Socialpruf searches every post it has indexed.

Content or accounts

Every search can be viewed two ways, and you can flip between them at any time without re-running anything:

  • Content: the individual posts that match.
  • Accounts: the profiles that match.

The same query answers a different question on each side: “what has been made about this?” and “who makes this?”

Sorting the results

Searching content, you can sort by:

  • Newest: most recent first.
  • Most views: biggest reach first.
  • Most engaging: strongest reaction first.

Searching accounts, you can sort by:

  • Most followers
  • Most views
  • Fastest growing
  • Most engaging

Your recent searches are saved at the top of the page next to the Socialpruf logo, so a search you ran yesterday is one click away instead of something you rebuild from memory.

Filters

The Discover filter panel, with platform, type, category, country, age and gender options above follower, view and engagement sliders

A keyword gets you results, but Filters are what make Socialpruf search a real business intelligence tool. They stack, so each one you add narrows what came before it.

Who and where

  • Platform: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or X.
  • Creator type: Brand, Influencer, Athlete or Institution.
  • Category: the same verticals the home page uses, including Sports, Food & Beverage, Entertainment, Fashion, Beauty, Health & Fitness, Travel and Tech & AI.

Audience demographics

Narrow to who is actually watching, not just who is posting:

  • Country: where the audience lives.
  • Age: 13-17, 18-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-64 or 65+.
  • Gender: female or male majority.

Performance

  • Follower count: set a floor and a ceiling.
  • Content views: how much reach the content actually pulls.
  • Engagement rate: how much that audience responds.

Stacked together, these turn a vague brief into a shortlist. Looking for an influencer with an American audience, aged 25 to 50, in health and fitness, with a real engagement rate rather than a big follower number? That's five filters and one search, and what comes back is a real answer.

Pro tip: Build the filter set first and add the keyword last. It's far easier to loosen one filter on a shortlist that came back too small than to read through a thousand unfiltered results looking for the right one.

Searching beyond the index

Socialpruf's index runs to tens of millions of posts, but the social web is bigger than any index. If what you're looking for isn't in your initial search, try running a live capture by selecting “Search the web” before entering your query. Results come straight from the platforms, in real time, and the posts stream in as they arrive.
