Met 20 years ago, married 18 years and it still feels like we're in the throes of early dating. What's the secret? For me.....1. Know thyself. Do the therapy. Do the personal work. Don't psychologically punish your partner for your shit. 2. Earn and keep trust with every word and every deed. 3. Prioritize the partnership, even if children enter the picture. Date nights, trips, walks together every night. And finally, only two, independent people can thrive together. Don't forget to nurture a life just for YOU outside your partnership or your role as wife, mom, employee; that's hobbies, friendships, alone time, girls' trips, whatever keeps you growing and curious and having fun. I'm better at all my roles when I'm fulfilled personally. 💜 HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to those who love others and love Self. 💜 Ryan, I love you. ❤️

Yes, there are a lot of us (you should see the group chat), but that just means there’s more love—and more leftovers. We’re connected through 5 aunts, 2 uncles, and the beautiful chaos of generations. We also have an amazing extended family! We laugh, we remember the ones who aren’t with us anymore, and we hold each other a little tighter. That’s what family is all about.
