Losing my mom two years ago felt like a piece of my heart was gone. Becoming a mom to Sofie has brought a level of healing I didn’t expect and I truly believe my mom sent her to us… 😇

Of course I still have moments where I get so sad wishing she were here, because I know she would’ve been at our house every single day helping Ras and I.

But I feel my mom different here now and I can carry so many things she taught me into my new journey of motherhood. She always reminded me to slow down, be selfless, put your kids first, and no matter how hard the days get, you keep showing up. ✨

I hope I can be even half the mom she was to me. For anyone raising a little one without your mom or dad or loved one here, just know you’re not alone. 🤍

Losing my mom two years ago felt like a piece of my heart was gone. Becoming a mom to Sofie has brought a level of healing I didn’t expect and I truly believe my mom sent her to us… 😇 Of course I still have moments where I get so sad wishing she were here, because I know she would’ve been at our house every single day helping Ras and I. But then I remember how lucky I am that she has been here for so many special moments in my life and that she is still here with me. And sending me so many signs. The simplest of it being this baby is coming near her birthday and she sent me a girl. 💕

My mom always said how I was her best friend and I’m truly so excited to bring my new little best friend in this world.

14 weeks pregnant. Training about an hour a day with a daily walk and some stretching.

Second photo:
Training 6 hours a day and feeling the fittest I had in a long time.

These photos are nearly a year apart, and it’s wild to see how much my body has changed. As someone who’s been an athlete my entire life, it’s funny to look back at some photos (not this one specifically) and think I didn’t look great, but now looking at them I look so strong.

Right now, growing a human is my full time job, and watching my body change in this new way is both exciting and, honestly, something that was hard to accept at first. I found myself wondering if I’d ever get my body back or what this next chapter of motherhood would even look like. But I’ve come to realize that we’re not meant to stay the same. Each chapter of life reshapes us, and that’s the beautiful thing.

Feeling grateful for what this new body is doing and for the strong baby girl I’m growing. I can’t wait to show her what it means to be @grownstrong.🩵

First photo: 14 weeks pregnant. Training about an hour a day with a daily walk and some stretching. Second photo: Training 6 hours a day and feeling the fittest I had in a long time. These photos are nearly a year apart, and it’s wild to see how much my body has changed. This week we made a hard decision to put down our sweet Bear. 🐻💔 I remember picking him out before I left for my first year of college for my parents and he was just a little pup. He definitely lived a long, good life at 13 years old. And I know he is happy to be reunited with his brother Shadow and my mama. 🪽 We love you so much bubba Bear. 🥹
What I eat in a day as a pregnant mama 🤰Not going to lie, this is a lot of food for most. But just like when I was training as a competitive athlete, I’m still fueling with intention… just now, it’s for two. The goal isn’t performance anymore… It’s nourishment, recovery, and growing a healthy baby.

I’m not tracking macros, but I eat when I’m hungry and aim to hit at least my bodyweight in protein each day.

Breakfast:
2 eggs + 1 egg white, 2 slices of bacon, soaked & cooked sprouted oats (yes, I’m back on oats…) with raw milk, cinnamon, blueberries, and raw honey. Breakfast for me changes daily, but this is what I had the other day.

Plus a daily Immunity Shot from @elixirshots: packed with Hawaiian turmeric, ginger, oranges and black pepper to support immunity and reduce inflammation.

Pre-Workout:
Elixir Endurance Beet Shot — Supports blood flow, oxygen delivery, and endurance. It’s great for boosting natural energy without caffeine, and during pregnancy, better circulation also supports baby.

Post-Workout Smoothie (aka my chocolate milkshake):
Raw milk + protein + banana + cacao powder + raw honey.

Lunch:
Sardines (mixed with a little yogurt, Dijon mustard, salt & sauerkraut), sourdough bread, and an orange. I try to eat sardines/fish 3x a week. A natural superfood filled with vitamin D and omega-3s.

Afternoon Boost:
Elixir Mayan Cacao Shot — antioxidant-rich and supports heart health, circulation, and lowering pre-eclampsia risk. 

Snack:
Greek yogurt with kiwi, blueberries, orange, and raw honey.

Dinner:
Grass-fed steak, potatoes, sauerkraut, and asparagus.

I try to never let myself get overly hungry, and I really think that helped me avoid nausea in the first trimester.

Yes I’m drinking raw milk, but I drank this before my pregnancy and continue to do so. Please do your own research and listen to your body. I aim to drink 32 ounces of raw milk daily.
