This is the best kind of homework. The @adidas #Adizero Boston 13 have been my go-to for tempo days while training for the Toronto Half Marathon. They’re light, responsive, and have this plate system (Energy Rods) that gives me that little extra snap when I’m picking up the pace. The cushioning (Lightstrike Pro) feels soft but still fast, and they’re stable enough that I don’t feel beat up after longer efforts. I used to not pay close attention to the tech of running shoes. But it’s not just hype and big fancy words. When you break it down, understanding it really makes a difference, especially when you’re training consistently. As a beginner training for my first triathlon, I’ve heard the rule: nothing new on race day. So I tested out the 2XU Aero Hex Trisuit during a workout = bike + run. I wanted to make sure it could keep up and it did! Supportive, breathable and has pockets for gels (important). It was comfortable the entire time, allowing me to focus fully on the workout without distraction.
