POV: Nursing my 1 year old at the start line of my first full @ironmantri 

It wasn’t about race day it was about the journey of self-discovery that led me there. 

Becoming a parent was the biggest identity shift I’ve experience in my life thus far. It was hard, intense, and by far the most beautiful chapter of my life. 

I’ve always used my fitness as a tool to discover and explore internal realms I can’t quite find while sitting still. Sounds crazy but I also know that if you know you know. 

The longest 11 hours, 44 minutes and 38 seconds of my life. 

I pumped along the way and finished with engorged boobs but a full heart and radical acceptance and peace with the newest, best version of me yet… Mummy xoxo

He was right. 

For her birthday 🎂 she had us all submit photos of our EXs to her fiance and he made a presentation 🤣❤️ 

with themes like - from “blow up or glow up?” or “whose man is this?” 

it was a BLAST & i think secretly healing for some of us.

it gave us all cringe, tears, laughing and maybe jen peeing herself. 😝

To look back on all your EXs + have nothing but gratitude for your choices because you know it led you to THIS moment - is a moment i pray everyone has. 

Anything you’re holding onto is only weight YOU carry.

I’m 34 and not ashamed to admit… 

It took years to finally love myself after years of battling eating disorders and I still struggle with body dysmorphia, it’s a constant journey.

I spent the first half of my life seeking for a place to belong when I struggled with my identity of always being “different” which led me to loose the core of who I am actually am. 

I have spent most of my adult life rekindling the relationship with myself and seeking for forgiveness for a few dark years of my past. 

I over analyze people’s perception of me because I simply want to love and be loved. 

We are all beautifully complex beings and what you see isn’t always what it truly is. 

Don’t be so hard on yourself, you are not alone and none of us actually have it all together and figured out!

I tested my 40yd dash for first time ever. 

Here’s what happened:

5.436 seconds 

I’m not sure what that time really means but here is what I do know. 

The Apex competition left me feeling like an absolute powerhouse of an WOMAN, athlete, mum, wife, and CEO. 

Yes this was a competition but it didn’t feel like any one of the women wanted to beat you or take you down… it was the absolute opposite. It was like they wanted you to win, to do your best and break your own records. It was so empowering hearing strangers and friends cheering and screaming for you! It made you want to do better. It was a great reminder to surround yourself with people that believe in you more than you believe in yourself. Who want to see you win. 

When you feel supported you will do better. That goes for absolutely anything in your life. 

Do an audit on your circle and make choices without guilt to ensure your people are the best people to support you on the next step of your journey. 

Dream big baby!!

SKI 
I took it too chill on the ski… I am not the strongest on the SkiErg so thought I would blow up if I went to hard but realize I was too conservative. 

SLED PUSH 
I did 4 sets of 15 yds and I should have stopped every 8 yds to shake out my legs. It was SO hard to run after this. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should… it’s too early on in the race and will affect everything that comes after. 

BURPEE BROAD JUMPS 
I wore Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 3 shoes for the first time and COULD not stick my landing. I would either fall forward or my hands would land way too far in front for my next rep.. both would have caused a penalty so I had to make my jumps short… lesson- try your shoes in training and find the one that works for you. These were great for running but I didn’t like them for any of the other exercises. 

ROW 
I always see people fueling on the row but it suddenly
dawned on me that I was doing this solo so I couldn’t row and fuel without slowing down too much so I should have fueled on the run before getting to the rower… duh! wear a running belt that you can carry your fuel in. 

FARMERS CARRY 
I did 4 50m carry’s but didn’t move as fast as I wanted. I am a sweaty beast and I wish I had a towel and that I chalked before I started the first leg. 

LUNGES
I couldn’t move any faster here… I went unbroken but slowly. I felt like I was over exerting because I was working so hard to stabilize in my shoes. It burns but just keep going. The old foot tap in between reps works nice here. IYKYK

WALL BALLS 
My theory was 20-20-10 x2 that didn’t last long. I started with 20 and then the second set of 20 my legs were starting to feel it “too much” so I dropped to smaller sets till I got to 70 then took a longer break and finished with 2 sets of 15. Next time I will try 25-15-10 break longer and then 25-15-10.

These are by no means what YOU should do. Just wanted to share my experience and keep note of this for next time. 

We couldn’t include the 8th run or the sled pull. 

This 7 station Hyrox took me 59:15. There’s lots of room for improvement.

Avg HR 162- My threshold is 167- I could have pushed harder.

You were the best decision I’ve ever made.

We are completely different people today than we were when we met. We were just kids—I was 19 😳—who fell madly in love and dreamed of an extraordinary life. Chasing dreams isn’t an easy path, it’s a beautifully challenging journey that requires reinventing yourselves again and again, growing into the people you need to become to make those dreams real.

I’m grateful we never lost sight of each other through all the changes.

Every journey has highs and lows, and I’m so thankful we chose us time and time again—especially through the lows. It’s easy not to do the work, to coexist, to slowly drift apart while building careers, raising a child, and simply being together for so long. What’s harder is choosing to grow, to be better, and to fight for our love—because if we aren’t good, what’s the point of any of it?

I can confidently say I am still madly and deeply in love with you. Our foundation is our strength. Our love is the result of constant evolution and the courage to do the hard things.

I love you so much I could scream.
