If you’re not diabetic, you WON’T understand. (True story…)

The things that happen to us can be outright insane, comical, and just… WTF.

The amount of times I’ve had pump tubing tangled where it shouldn’t be, sites ripped out from silverware drawers, and yes — even the occasional transmitter knocked off onto the ground or…

This is a true story — I was watching TV with Paula and suddenly realized my CGM wasn’t on my arm?! I started aggressively looking for it, and she starts cracking up.

IT HAD STUCK TO HER BUTT.

As funny as it was, with previous CGMs that would’ve meant money lost, a hassle with customer service, and hoping I had another sensor available.

But with Eversense 365, I just unstuck the transmitter from her and put it back on my arm. I can quickly change the adhesive (or sometimes just stick it back on with the same one) without issue*.

Because the Eversense sensor sits just under my skin, I’m never worried if I knock off the transmitter — it’s that simple to put back on. No new pokes. No new jabs. Just adhesive and chill.

So yeah… diabetes has a way of putting you in some strange situations. You never know when you might need the flexibility Eversense 365 gives you to manage it with a little less hassle.

Vulnerable t1d share here 💉

Last year I severely burnout with diabetes and life.

Diabetes is hard
Life can be hard

And when both get difficult at the same time, you do what you can to survive the moments.

I’m so glad I’m back on track and refocused on what matters but damn was that a good kick in the ass.

It wasn’t the tech that hurt me.
It wasn’t intentional giving up either.
And is damn sure wasn’t a lack of knowledge.

I just made small bad choices.

Bad choices compound.
Good choices compound.

Make sure you’re compounding in the favorable direction

(It’s hard to share numbers like this on social for fear of judgement and all that but it’s the reality of the condition and the humanness behind it)

1 year ago I married my best friend. 2 weeks ago we had our wedding. It was literally perfect. That is all.

I was surprised with a highland cow by @apaulagize which I’ve always wanted to see one so that was probably the most epic surprise I’ve ever had!

Huge thanks to my friends that made this possible:

@timstagramcpt our officiant
@furyphotography our photography
@geeniuskeys our pianist
@officialliftersister our florist

Biggest shoutout to my brother and best man @ruderx and @brando8319 — without them I would not have survived let along had the best night ever. And to @jennessyvictoria and Fern for being the best maid of honor and team helping us with literally e everything.

And everyone else who came to support!

If you don’t understand (or agree) read it again until you do.

November’s diabetes awareness month and it has me thinking about insulin prices.

10-12 years ago insulin was in the low $100’s.
Now it’s well over $300 a vial or $500+ for pens.

Same medicine. Astronomical cost markup.

if we acquainted income to match insulin inflation price, that would mean the average American income should be $175,000 or more.

But I think we all know that is not the case.

In no way am I saying medicine should be free for everyone. I personally understand that things have costs in certain groups have more access and privilege than others.

What I am saying is that it should be criminal to have 200% markups on medicine that people need to survive.

What I am saying is that companies should not be allowed to leverage survival for profit margins without a ceiling or cap on things like medicine.

The geography you were born in or the family you were born to or the depth of your bank account should not determine whether you live or die because of diabetes.

Type 1 diabetes can be hard and a minute-by-minute full-time job. That’s why I chose to get the personalized control that comes with the twiist™ AID system.

After 10 years of taking a pump break, I found a system that worked with me.

Adding the @twiistdiabetes AID system filled in the gaps I had in my own diabetes management:

1. Customizable exercise and pre-meal presets.
2. Adjusts basal insulin to reduce glucose highs and lows.
3. Fast, medium, and slow carb bolus calculations based on absorption rates.

Nothing has been better than waking up to steady blood sugars in the past 3 months of having twiist (individual results may vary).

Even my wife said to me that she’s so happy when she sees how stable my blood sugars have been!

I talked to my doctor about making the switch from multiple daily injections to twiist and I’m so glad I made that decision.

Talk to your healthcare provider to see if twiist might be right for you!

twiist is for T1D ages 6+. RX ONLY. US ONLY. Important Safety Info: twiist.com/safety

Diabetes never stops.

It’s never convenient.

It can be managed and optimized.
You can add the best tech out there to make your life easier.

But still nothing reduces this fact:

Diabetes is a minute by minute condition.

It can affect every single aspect of your life without permission.

This is just part of the reality of living with Type 1 Diabetes #t1d #type1diabetic #lowbloodsugar #diabetes

Had a great conversation with Chris Ruden about his experience using the Eversense 365 CGM System- the first and only long-term implantable CGM that lasts up to a year! We talked about the accuracy, the on-body vibration alerts (even when your phone isn’t around), and how the removable transmitter* makes it easy to take on and off whenever you need. We wrapped up talking about how lucky we are to live in a time with so many incredible options- it’s amazing to see how far diabetes tech has come and how much easier it keeps getting to live life on our own terms.

Last night at the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando, something truly powerful unfolded.

Beyond the Diagnosis was not just a gala — it was an experience.

An evening layered with intention, elegance, and heart. A moving panel discussion. A deeply personal conversation around Type 1 diabetes and the realities that exist beyond the surface. A silent and live auction that brought the room together in meaningful support of a greater mission. And a feature trailer reveal that left the audience visibly emotional — a story we cannot wait to share.

The atmosphere was elevated and refined, yet incredibly human. Every detail — from the setting to the storytelling — reflected the depth of this cause and the strength of the community behind it.

Beyond the Diagnosis is more than a documentary. It’s a platform for awareness. A voice for families navigating Type 1 diabetes. A reminder that behind every diagnosis is resilience, complexity, and unwavering love.

Honored to have witnessed such a meaningful evening in the heart of Orlando.

The story is just beginning.

Unfortunately, there’s still no cure for type 1 diabetes… no matter what your neighbor’s friend’s cousin said about cinnamon.

But technology has made living with diabetes a whole lot easier. @eversensecgm is a CGM that lasts for one year — unlike short-term CGMs that need to be replaced about every week or two.

Once a year, I go to my doctor to have the old sensor removed and a new one placed. It’s a pretty quick visit, and then I’m right back to my day.

I honestly feel lucky to live in a time where we even have options like short-term or long-term CGMs, and can choose what works best for us.

And I also feel lucky I didn’t fall for the cinnamon trick 😂

If you’re curious, check out Eversense 365 — the only CGM that lasts a year. #t1d #eversensecgm #eversenseambassador #diabetes

Type 1s! The longest-lasting CGM now pairs with a pump!

Eversense 365 is now integrated with the twiist AID system — and I’ve waited YEARS for this. I held off going back on a pump because I wanted one that worked with the CGM I trust. Accuracy matters to me, and Eversense delivers exceptional accuracy.

I’ve used shorter-term CGMs in the past and personally struggled when I didn’t fully trust the readings I was seeing. That made it hard to confidently rely on an AID system.

But now, with twiist and Eversense 365 working together, I’ve seen my highs and lows drop by over 50%, and my time in range has gone from 70% to 85%.

For me, that’s massive.

I’m happy for myself because this partnership has helped me manage my diabetes in a way that feels steadier and more proactive. But I’m also happy for our community — because more integrated options means more ways to find what works.

Check out @eversensecgm and @twiistdiabetes and talk to your doctor to see if this combo might be a fit for you.

Not all CGMs have to be short-term.

Eversense 365 lasts ONE YEAR.

As a type 1 diabetic, having options really matters to me. I’ve used traditional CGMs before and overall I think CGMs are an incredible tool for diabetes management. But for me personally, short-term CGMs just didn’t fit my lifestyle.

With Eversense 365, I get a year of CGM use without changing the sensor. That, combined with the exceptional accuracy, is why it’s my CGM of choice.

No single product is perfect for everyone — and that’s okay. What matters is knowing your options and finding what fits your life.

If you’re curious, check out @eversensecgm and see if a long-term CGM might be right for you.

My wife & I took my mom on her dream vacation last week!

When I was 11, my mom was the arts & crafts mom.

She always came in to decorate the room and taught us pottery and painting and all that fun stuff.

We had a coveted competition: “international night”.

You pick a country.
You decorate the room.
You learn about that country.

Winner gets the trophy. And my mom went IN!

We picked Costa Rica and did our homework! She hung brown construction paper to make vines and decorated the entire room to look like a rainforest

We made a person-sized volcano out of paper mache
(We put a box fan in it with streamers too to “erupt”)

She put everything into this decor.

And we WON!

Ever since then she’s dreamed of going to Costa Rica

Last week I was able to make that dream come true.

She put off her desires to raise her kids the best way she could. Add cancer to the mix and it made it e en more difficult So Taking her to Costa Rica was incredible for me.

She was so happy!

And at 71, she still rappelled down waterfalls, zip lined and hiked to waterfalls!

We were at one of the waterfalls & said:

“We finally made it hunny”

It took me a few longer than expected.

And I wish I would’ve done it sooner

But I’m so fortunate we were able to do that for my mom.

As someone with diabetes, I couldn’t be happier right now. (Unless diabetes just disappeared… but yeah.)

The Everense365 x twiist AID combo has already made a noticeable difference in my time in range (and I’m feeling more in control than I have in a lonnnng time.)

Life kicked my ass last year.

Stress was high, routines were off, and I let my diabetes management slip harder than it has in YEARS. When I got my A1C 6 months ago, I was embarrassed. I felt shame for the first time in a decade.

I hated that feeling.

To be clear, this wasn’t about the tech. I’ve trusted Eversense 365 for a long time. This was about me navigating a tough season of life.

I know it happens. I know it’s not a reflection of me as a person. But I also knew I needed a little help.

That help came in the form of @eversensecgm partnering with @twiistdiabetes

Eversense 365 is the CGM I personally trust. It’s long-term, removable, and if the transmitter gets knocked off (which… you know me), I can just put it back on. That flexibility matters to me.

And twiist is an AID system that:

– Gives glucose predictions
– Lets you adjust carb entries before or after meals
– Has safety features that help detect potential insulin delivery issues

Now the CGM I trust works with an AID system, and together they feel like a true diabetes management partner, helping me focus more on living and less on constantly playing catch-up.

I waited to get on a pump until it worked with the CGM I felt most confident in. And now it does.

If you’re curious, talk to your doctor about Eversense 365 and Twiist AID. This combination has been a game changer for me.

That help came in the form of @eversensecgm partnering with @twiistdiabetes Eversense 365 is the CGM I personally trust. It’s long-term, removable, and if the transmitter gets knocked off (which… you know me), I can just put it back on. That flexibility matters to me. And twiist is an AID system that: – Gives glucose predictions – Lets you adjust carb entries before or after meals – Has safety features that help detect potential insulin delivery issues Now the CGM I trust works with an AID system, and together they feel like a true diabetes management partner, helping me focus more on living and less on constantly playing catch-up. I waited to get on a pump until it worked with the CGM I felt most confident in. And now it does. If you’re curious, talk to your doctor about Eversense 365 and Twiist AID. This combination has been a game changer for me. 👇Comment below if you’re ON a pump or MDI #eversenseambassador #insulinpump #t1dlookslikeme #twiist #type1diabetic 📸 @jocelynphillipsbranding 🔥🔥🔥
