The world’s most anticipated aircraft landed in Australia It still feels surreal that I got to witness such a historic milestone as a Qantas Group employee. The very first @qantas @airbus A350-1000ULR for Project Sunrise has officially arrived in Australia after an incredible 19-hour, 13-minute journey from Toulouse, France, covering almost 17,000km to Melbourne. This wasn’t just another delivery flight—it became the most-tracked flight in the world, with thousands of aviation enthusiasts following its journey in real time. Purpose-built with an additional 20,000-litre fuel tank, this aircraft is designed to fly commercially non-stop for up to 22 hours, paving the way for direct Sydney–London flights from October 2027, followed by Sydney–New York. Being there to celebrate the arrival of an aircraft that represents the future of aviation is something I’ll never forget. The very first @qantas @airbus A350-1000ULR for Project Sunrise has officially arrived in Australia after an incredible 19-hour, 13-minute journey from Toulouse, France, covering almost 17,000km to Melbourne. This wasn’t just another delivery flight—it became the most-tracked flight in the world, with thousands of aviation enthusiasts following its journey in real time. Rich, decadent, loaded with flavour, and so indulgent it genuinely feels like a whole meal on its own. If you’re a chocolate lover, this one’s non-negotiable. But can we also talk about their mochi? The cream cheese mochi is unreal, especially the taro and purple rice flavours — easily my favourites. Soft, chewy, creamy, and dangerously addictive. And their gelato range deserves more hype. Dragon fruit sorbet? I’ve never seen it anywhere else and it’s incredibly fresh, fruity, and refreshing.
