The different phases of my glute journey over the last 7 years🍑 

•the phase where my only focus was to grow my glutes and nothing else and I performed exercises with incorrect form without realising at the time
•the phase where I didn’t care about my nutrition intake and training was my only focus, which is something I’d never recommend and have learned that nutrition is actually kinda more important than training 
•the phase where I unintentionally lost quite a lot of weight but didn’t actually realise at the time. Looking back at videos I not only lost a lot of volume in my glutes but everywhere on my body 
•the phase where I then did a 8 month long majority dirty bulk and whilst I did gain a substantial amount of weight which was my goal, I reflect back now and know that I didn’t do it in the best way for my body as my nutrition intake was poor 
•the phase where I then stopped tracking my calories and just ate intuitively and unintentionally did a reverse diet 
•to the phase I’m in now, where I’m still intuitively eating foods that make me feel good and having good nutritional intake whilst focusing on eating whole foods where possible. I’m training consistently and still making progress and I feel the best I ever have in my body due to also not letting fitness take over my life and still having balance in my routine

Here’s my go to glutes and hammies workout that neverrrr fails me. I’ve been basically doing this workout consistently for 2 years now whilst utilising progressive overload and my glutes have progressed so much😅 

I always keep to this structure in my workouts as I find it most effective in terms of getting the most out of my workout I possibly can and ensures I can progress each week:

1️⃣start with compound movements (rdls, Hipthrusts, squats etc) as these require the most energy usually and engages multiple muscle groups and joints simultaneously

2️⃣move onto unilateral movements (step ups, lunges, split squats etc)  as these involve using one side of the body at a time which can help reduce imbalances and are super important in building a well balanced physique

3️⃣lastly I go into isolation movements (hamstring curl, leg extension, kick backs etc) as they focus on targeting and isolating a particular muscle and can accelerate hypertrophy within a particular muscle
