Jake Shane has climbed the charts with his ‘Therapuss’ podcast, where the comedian interviews celebrities in conversations that veer between loose and chatty to deeply introspective. But he’s recently turned heads for digging deep in another venue: the gym. We dropped in on one of Shane’s workouts to see the grind behind his transformation—from supersets of TRX pushups and pullups to explosive landmine presses to sled pushes with almost 300 pounds of resistance. The 26-year-old podcaster is feeling himself more these days, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to ditch his brand of self-deprecating humor or stop being open about his insecurities with fans. “I just need to find a new lane to make fun of myself that’s not my body,” he says. Read our interview with Shane at the link in our bio.

Yes, testosterone can help you get stronger and build muscle. But does that mean it’s cheating? Not for everyone, says @frankgrillo1 on #strongtalk with @ebenezersamuel23 and @dr.patdavidson. Context matters, Grillo says, although all actors should be honest about what they take. He breaks down this and much more in the full episode, available at link in bio.

Nicholas Galitzine isn’t used to seeing himself as an action figure. “Oh my god,” he says, squinting his eyes in disbelief at the sight of a toy you can find just about anywhere for $10.99. “It’s very, very trippy.”

The 31-year-old had better get used to it. After breaking through in the 2020s with movies like the romantic ‘Red, White, and Royal Blue’ and the absurdly funny ‘Bottoms,’ he’s now tasked with bringing Prince Adam of Eternia and his all-powerful alter-ego He-Man to life in a new ‘Masters of the Universe’ movie. That job is not one he’s taken lightly, as he’s transformed his body—tacking on as much as 55 pounds, eating as many as 5,000 calories a day—along the way to herodom.

This new ‘Masters’ movie is more than just a retro superhero play, and Galitzine’s hero is more than just muscles, brawn, and that classic bob of blonde hair. At a time when masculinity is being once again re-defined, this He-Man has something more to say.

“The muscles don’t maketh the man, really,” he says. “We live in a physical world, and the aesthetics of both things and people obviously have value in it, whether we like it or not. I mean, He-Man’s superpower is his ability to really connect with people and embrace them and embolden them and collaborate with them. It's not the superficial.”

Presenting the third of our Summer 2026 cover stars: Gunna.

When the multiplatinum rapper first began running four years ago, it was a solo exercise meant to clear his head. But when he discovered the ways it transformed his body and mind, he wanted to share the experience with fans. Last September, he hosted the inaugural Wunna Run 5K club in Brooklyn. Since then, he’s led runs on the streets of Toronto, Washington, D.C., Miami, Atlanta, London, Johannesburg, Houston, and Los Angeles. Thousands of runners show up, a majority of them from Black communities, which have faced structural and cultural barriers when it comes to adopting fitness as a form of health care.

“We were not taught fitness like that,” Gunna says. But now, he wants to go bigger—and farther—with his eye on hosting a longer distance Wunnathon. His fitness journey, it turns out, was more of a team event. “Sometimes you do things,” he says, “and you don’t know the purpose till later.” Read Gunna’s cover story at the link in our bio.

When ‘One Piece’ first premiered on Netflix in 2023, it was widely lauded for finally breaking the curse of the live-action anime adaptation. To bring the wild, elastic animation style to life was no easy feat. Especially so considering that Eiichiro Oda, the creator behind the manga series that birthed the anime, is famous for populating his world with wondrously strange and colorful characters.

So when Taz Skylar was first preparing to play Sanji, a member of the Straw Hat Pirates whose signature fighting style involves only kicking his enemies, he became obsessed with capturing the character’s gravity-defying physicality. “I’d just commandeer any and all stunt men that were free,” Skylar says.

He brought in his own stunt trainer, a Taekwondo specialist, a ballet teacher, and a breakdance teacher. For the show’s second season, “I was maybe a little bit more sane because of all the groundwork we had laid. But then the challenge,” he says, “was replaced with the question of how ambitious we could get.” Read our conversation with Skylar about upping the ante in season 2 of ‘One Piece’ at the link in our bio.

When Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi first walked into his audition to play Dek in ‘Predator: Badlands,’ he had no idea what he was getting into. The New Zealand-born actor knew the casting call he was responding to had described a ‘creature,’ but that was it. His audition was strong, but director Dan Trachtenberg needed more than that—and so Schuster-Koloamatangi went through an ‘American Ninja Warrior’-style obstacle course to prove that he had the physical skills necessary to play the movie’s most essential alien hunter.

“The way Dimitrius navigated that course was insane,” Trachtenberg tells MH. “The swashbuckle he brought to all the sliding, jumping, leaping, and weapon work was even cooler than the stuntmen. Dimitrius had a special physicality.”

Proving he had the acting—and physical—chops to take on the lead role in one of the year’s most exciting sci-fi blockbusters was just the beginning, though. Between carrying Elle Fanning around on his back, understanding the language and culture of the Yautja, and way more, there was a ton that went into leading ‘Predator: Badlands.’ At the link in our bio, you can get the full story on how Schuster-Koloamatangi transformed into the ultimate killer of killers.
