Taoiseach Micheál Martin sharply criticised the attempts by Israel's Foreign Minister to label the Irish Government, the Irish Ambassador to Israel, and the Irish people as antisemitic. This condemnation follows the proposed renaming of Herzog Park in Rathgar, Dublin.⁠ ⁠ Speaking in the Dáil, People Before Profit TD Richard Boyd Barrett characterised the Israeli Minister's comments as a "standard tactic of the Israeli state" to suggest that "anyone who criticises them for genocide, apartheid or ethnic cleansing of the persecution of Palestinians is somehow anti-Semitic."⁠ ⁠ The Taoiseach stated he was in full agreement with Deputy Boyd Barrett's remarks.
