Found a ring on the street and it took me to the mountains.

It’s so sad this is illegal now.
Parks Canada confirmed whirling disease in Lake Louise in 2025 after a deformed fish got tested. It’s a parasite introduced from Europe, harmless to us, but it carries up to a 90 per cent mortality rate in some fish species. It was already in Emerald Lake and several rivers in Yoho back in 2023.
So as of this spring, Bow Lake and Moraine sit in what Parks calls a water preservation zone. No canoes, no kayaks, no SUPs, no giant inflatable unicorns. Swimming, snorkelling and fishing without waders are still fine.

I’ve actually started mainly shooting on my iPhone because it’s super light, easy to use and with the @sandisk Creator Phone SSD, I can shoot in ProRes 4K at 60fps, which allows me
to capture cinematic footage as if I were filming on my $10k cinema camera.

Creator tip of the day: you DO NOT need an expensive camera to film your adventures.
I highly recommend the @sandisk Creator SSD. Plug it into your phone and you’re shooting ProRes at 4K 60fps straight to the drive.
That’s professional-grade footage from your pocket. This has honestly become one of my go-to filmmaking tools over the past year. Travel light, capture everything, no excuses.
