After many years of coming to New Zealand, I finally got a chance to spend time on the South Island seeing much of the country I’d never experienced. Helicopter rides to glacial waterfalls, jet boat tours through the valley rapids, farm-to-table meals rivaling the best and freshest food on earth….and being presented with a Taonga stone in a Tiaki ceremony made the whole thing that much more memorable and meaningful. In re te Māori, taonga means sacred or treasured. Grateful for the experiences, the connection, and the reminder to care for the places that give us so much. @purenewzealand #nzmustdo
