People think I’m crazy...

Not just for chugging honey daily, but for how I travel in general.

But let me say this...

Convenience is the enemy of optimal health.

When you’re on the go without preparation, this is where we get tripped up.

You’re hungry and your only options are airport McDonald’s, Starbucks, or seed oil soaked bar food...

For me, I’m just not taking that risk. Why?

My health is my #1 priority. 
Feeling great is my #1 priority. 
Sleeping well is my #1 priority.
Being mentally clear is my #1 priority. 

I love the work I do. love helping people heal themselves through diet. I love educating about how to live optimally. 

For that, I need to be sharp every single day, no excuses.

I love surfing, being in nature, moving my body, and having endless energy. 

There is no food that could provide me more joy in the moment than the joy of feeling my absolute best doing these things.

It’s a non-negotiable.

I will never sacrifice how I perform and feel for a quick treat. I mean it when I say I haven’t had a cookie or slice of pizza in 10 years.

And yes, I do understand l am on the extreme end here but I think knowledge is power, and so many people are suffering today with chronic illness, obesity, diabetes, or even just bloating, fatigue, low energy, and bad sleep.

And being INTENTIONAL about your diet is, in my opinion, the SINGLE most powerful intervention you can do to reverse all of these things.

So call me crazy all you want, but I’ll take crazy for daily mental clarity, focus, energy, and a life lived to the fullest.

And for the record, honey and carbohydrates don’t cause metabolic dysfunction.

Metabolic dysfunction is a mitochondrial problem, not a carbohydrate problem.

And several studies show that eating honey is beneficial for your metabolic health (PMID: 19817641, 30072671).

So don’t let the fear mongering around carbs get to you.

Eat like a human. This is how you thrive.

I notice this all the time in airports.

I’m usually the “weird” one walking up the stairs, maybe with a few others, while everyone else stands still on the escalator.

Ten healthy men underwent two 15‑minute Finnish sauna sessions per week at 80–90 °C over 3 months. At the end of exposure: significant reductions in sperm count, motility, chromatin condensation, histone‑protamine transition, mitochondrial function (PMID 23411620)…

The second one reviewed multiple studies linking elevated scrotal/testicular temperature (due to prolonged sitting, tight underwear, driver occupation, fever, sauna, hot baths) with reduced semen quality (PMID 18076419)…

The last one was a systematic review of literature from 1970 to 2017. Activities such as sauna, hot tubs, heated car seats, laptops on lap, and cell-phone/laptop electromagnetic exposure linked to raised testicular temperature and detrimental sperm outcomes (PMID 29731401)…
