I never thought I would see this day…

But suddenly the possibility of truly Making America Healthy Again (MAHA!), is very, very real. 

I’m incredibly grateful to Bobby Kennedy @robertfkennedyjr for leading the charge in this movement. That man is a true hero. 

I’m also grateful to contribute to this movement in any way that I can, and to those that stand beside me in this fight for the health of our families and friends in this country.. @calleymeans @garybrecka @drcaseyskitchen @thefoodbabe @ferrisbuhler81 @maxlugavere @realfoodology @lifestylemedicinedoctor @jordan.b.peterson and many more..

I’ve been in medicine for 20 years and over that time I have come to one saddening conclusion: Western medicine isn’t helping people with chronic illness lead healthier, happier lives. Our medical system has been captured by pharma and big food, as has the FDA, the USDA, the NIH, and CMS. 

This is why I do the work that I do. 

5 years ago I left the practice of Western medicine and since that time I have focused my efforts on education at a grass roots level. I hope some of my content has given you value and made your life and the lives of your loved ones better in that time. 

But now we have a very special moment for our country. Regardless of your political standing, I hope we can all agree that making America Healthy again is bipartisan and something we should all be incredibly excited about. 

The time has come for real change and honest conversations about s€€d oils, food dyes, pesticides, fluoride, and ultra-processed foods. 

Conversations that up until this moment have often been censored under the guise of “fact checking.” Bullshit. 

I couldn’t be more excited about the future of the health landscape in our country. LFG!

Your feet hate shoes…

As humans, our feet aren’t meant to spend hours a day in tight footwear…

This leads to weaknesses and poor mechanics that negatively affect your knees, spine, and the rest of your body…

Your feet are like the foundation of a house - if they are weak, deformed, and unstable, every other part of your body will suffer…

This doesn’t mean you should never wear shoes again, but you should definitely give your feet a break a couple of times a day and make time for a barefoot walk from time to time…

Being able to move pain-free is key for longevity and it all starts with your feet…

Spend more time barefoot and you will thrive…

It starts with small choices - like taking the stairs instead of the escalator.

I notice this all the time in airports.

I’m usually the “weird” one walking up the stairs, maybe with a few others, while everyone else stands still on the escalator.

Airports are some of the most sedentary environments we move through. 

Why not get your blood flowing before that flight?

People think I’m crazy…

Not just for chugging honey daily, but for how I travel in general. You should see the reactions to me bringing coconuts through security 

But let me say this…

Convenience is the enemy of optimal health.

When you’re on the go without preparation, this is where we get tripped up.

You’re hungry and your only options are airport McDonald’s, Starbucks, or seed oil soaked bar food…

For me, I’m just not taking that risk. Why?

My health is my #1 priority.

Feeling great is my #1 priority.

Sleeping well is my #1 priority.

Being mentally clear is my #1 priority.

I love the work I do. I love helping people heal themselves through diet. I love educating about how to live optimally. For that, I need to be sharp every single day, no excuses.

I love surfing, being in nature, moving my body, and having endless energy. There is no food that could provide me more joy in the moment than the joy of feeling my absolute best doing these things. It’s a non-negotiable.

I will never sacrifice how I perform and feel for a quick treat. I mean it when I say I haven’t had a cookie or slice of pizza in 10 years.

And yes, I do understand I am on the extreme end here 😂 but I think knowledge is power, and so many people are suffering today with chronic illness, obesity, diabetes, or even just bloating, fatigue, low energy, and bad sleep.

And being INTENTIONAL about your diet is, in my opinion, the SINGLE most powerful intervention you can do to reverse all of these things.

So call me crazy all you want, but I’ll take crazy for daily mental clarity, focus, energy, and a life lived to the fullest.

Eat like a human. This is how you thrive.
