🇬🇹 Today I spent the day with one of the most controversial Jewish cults in the world, a group that even other Jews don’t claim. This is Lev Tahor, known for their extreme practices and traditions, including child marriage. They are incredibly secretive, and journalists have long struggled to get close. But after wandering around a small Guatemalan village, I was pointed toward their compound, and funnily enough, they accepted me. Keep an eye out for part 👀

Educational documentary content explaining a traditional cultural practice in Africa. Filmed respectfully with community consent. No exploitation or harm is shown.

🇸🇸 Meet the Mundari from South Sudan, one of the tallest ethnic groups on the planet and one of the most fascinating tribes in Africa in my opinion. They are obsessed with their cows which are central to their life/culture and cleanliness is extremely important to them. EVERYDAY they bathe in cow urine because it acts as an antiseptic keeping them clean from diseases and bacteria. They even add it to their milk to keep it bacteria free and it is said to taste better. They also rub dried burnt cow dung on their faces and bodies to protect their skin from the sun and mosquitoes. I got the lucky chance to visit one of their cattle camps and was blown away. I felt like I only scratched the surface so if you want to see more on the Mundari let me know in the comments 👀

🇧🇷 Meet the real life Buffalo Soldiers! A battalion of around 200 police officers based on Marajó Island in northern Brazil. This remote island is bigger than Switzerland and floods for half the year, turning huge areas into mangrove swamps. In terrain like this cars bikes and even boats struggle to get around so the police patrol and chase criminals on water buffalo. I was lucky enough to spend the day patrolling with them and what I saw blew me away 🐃

🇵🇹 Meet the Crypto Jews of Portugal, who have been here since before Portugal was a country. They claim to have come over from Morocco, with evidence dating back over 1,500 years. Families in Belmonte can trace their roots back over 600 years.

Crypto Jews means secret Jews. Up until 30 years ago, they lived in hiding, being Christians in public and Jews at home.

It’s a fascinating story that only recently came out. Most people do not realize how much of Portuguese history and culture comes from Judaism. Studies show that around 20% of the population descends from Jews. Many of our names and foods have Jewish roots.

Names: Oliveira [tree name used by Jews to blend in], Pereira [pear tree name from Sephardic tradition], Mendes [common Sephardic family name], Cohen / Coelho [adaptation of Cohen to hide Jewish identity]

Foods: Alheira [sausage without pork created by Jews to blend in], Pão ázimo [unleavened bread kept from Jewish tradition], Pastéis de amêndoa [almond tarts from Sephardic desserts], Folar de ovos [egg bread / egg yolk cake influenced by Jewish baking]

If you found this interesting… do a little internet research, and you’ll be fascinated by what you find! 👀

🇦🇪 This might be Dubai’s most wholesome and unique café! Welcome to Café 21, located in the Al Ghurair Centre in Deira. This place is amazing, providing opportunities to people who would usually have a hard time finding work, teaching them valuable skills, and helping them become part of society. The staff are all friendly and kind, and they genuinely enjoy chatting and hanging out with visitors. If you are in Dubai, have some time to spare, want a good coffee, and prefer to skip the touristy, expensive spots, then Café 21 is a must-visit. I cannot recommend it enough. You will definitely leave with a smile 💙

🇬🇹 Today I went undercover with Lev Tahor, the most hated and secretive Jewish cult in the world. For decades, journalists have tried to get close and failed, but they accepted me into their compound, where I was able to ask them questions and learn about their ideology.

Lev Tahor makes up just 0.001% of Jews, with around 300 members currently living in Guatemala after being kicked out of multiple countries like Mexico, the U.S., and Canada. They follow the Talmud (Jewish text made up of teachings, debates, and interpretations of the Torah that guide Jewish law, ethics, and traditions? along with the Torah, interpreting everything very literally.

For example, child marriage. They marry children young because their texts suggest men can’t release semen until they’re married, so they pair them off early to prevent sin. They take modesty to an extreme as well, forcing women to cover themselves completely from head to toe. Women aren’t allowed to speak to or look at men unless it’s their father or husband.

There have also been cases of child abuse, as they take the writing “discipline your children” literally. And cases of abduction and isolation, keeping members trapped inside their closed-off communities.

All of this goes against the laws of many countries, which is why they’ve been expelled repeatedly. Most rabbis and Jews condemn their actions and don’t even consider them Jewish. Because of these practices, they’ve been given the nickname “the T4liban Jews”

🇸🇸 This African tribe is obsessed with Arsenal. Meet the Dinka people of South Sudan, who make up 35% of the country’s population and are known for being some of the tallest on the planet. I had the lucky chance to experience daily life with them in one of their remote cattle camps. While football is loved here, wrestling is their main sport and is taken very seriously. Interestingly, we found that fighters have ultras who use European club logos as their badges! 😅

🇪🇹 Today I’m in Ethiopia for my friend Nuno’s bride price ceremony. The way things are done here is pretty interesting, so I wanted to make a video to explain the whole process.

1 Find a girl

2 Decide you want to get married

3 Buy gifts, including a goat

4 Visit the father’s house with at least three male family members and get questioned until you are accepted as the husband

5 Celebrate and party together as one big family

6 Save money for the wedding, which usually happens about six months later

Hopefully this helps :)

🇵🇹 This is Martim Moniz, Portugal’s most controversial neighbourhood. Right in the centre of Lisbon, this place is now known as Little India because of the huge influx of South Asians who now outnumber the locals. Hindi and Bengali are more common here than Portuguese. Crime is high. Homelessness is everywhere. And open drug use happens in the middle of the day. Many Portuguese people avoid this area now, and it is a sensitive topic for many reasons.

But like anywhere in the world, most people here are good. Martim Moniz is full of culture, interesting food, and people with real stories. You see things from around the world that you normally never would. Some say it is dangerous. Some say it is misunderstood. Some want the old Martim Moniz back, and others are happy with how it is. Have you visited ? Let me know in the comments!

🇲🇲 Raw and Unedited.

These are a few pictures from my 3 days spent in the remote mountains of Karen State, behind enemy lines, with rebel fighters.

I was smuggled in from Thailand by boat down the Salween River, before spending hours hiking through the jungle to reach remote villages that I have to keep unnamed for their own safety.

The Karen are one of the largest ethnic groups in Myanmar, with their own language, culture and traditions. Ever since Myanmar gained independence in 1948, the Karen have been fighting for their own independence, making it one of the longest civil wars in human history.

These were some of the hardest travel days I’ve ever had. Hiking in the hot sun for hours. Bathing and drinking from the river. Sleeping on hard bamboo floors. And trying to stay safe in areas where airstrikes are a constant threat. This is a side of Myanmar that very few people get to see, and I have so much more to show you.

(if you want any more information about a specific photo just comment down below I’ll try and respond) 📸

🇪🇹 This is Ethiopia’s hidden Rastafari community, a place that attracted hundreds of Rastas back in the 1960s when Emperor Haile Selassie gave 500 acres of land to anyone from the African diaspora who wanted to return home!

To the Rastafari, Selassie is seen as the messiah and the King of Kings, a direct descendant of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. Visiting this place feels surreal. I’m in Ethiopia, but it doesn’t feel like Ethiopia. Everyone has dreadlocks, reggae music plays in the background, patties are being cooked on every corner, and the scent of c4nnabi5 drifts through the air 🍃

Have you heard of this place ?

🇵🇹 Welcome to the Kingdom of Pineal, a small community in rural Portugal that has become one of the most controversial topics in the country. Considered a dangerous cult, they were investigated after the death of an unregistered baby and many people believe they are trying to start their own independent state. I spent two days with them to understand their story for myself.

They told me they do not want their own country. They simply want sovereignty over their land and the freedom to live by their beliefs. They follow natural law, question everything, limit technology, and prefer to raise their children outside the legal system. They believe that registering a baby makes the child part of the state, and that is something they want to avoid. They also believe Article 41 of the Portuguese Constitution protects their right to live this way.

They were open about the baby who passed away, saying he developed a liver disease and could not be saved even after medical staff came. After this, authorities investigated them and allowed them to continue their life as normal.

On a human level, they were calm, kind, and welcoming. I understand why many Portuguese people are worried, but from my experience, there are far bigger problems in the country than this small community living quietly on their land!

🇵🇹 Portugal has neighborhoods few people see, where tin houses line narrow streets and life is raw and unpredictable, giving the feeling that you are in a favela in Rio de Janeiro. These communities, locally known as Bairros de Lata, began in the 1950s when families with no money or homes built their own. Many have disappeared, and only a few survive today. The remaining neighborhoods are largely inhabited by migrants from former colonies, Gypsies, and undocumented residents, creating a mix of cultures, languages, and ways of surviving. Life here is dangerous and tense, but it is also deeply human, full of resilience, creativity, and stories you won’t see anywhere else. I still find it crazy how I’m so close to Lisbon but it feels like a whole different world 🤯

I still find it crazy how I’m so close to Lisbon but it feels like a whole different world 🤯 #travel #backpacking #travelgram #travelling #traveler #travelblogger #traveling #instatravel #portugal #portugal🇵🇹 #portugalovers #lisbon #lisboa #lisboa🇵🇹 #favela #bairro #almada #trafaria #viral #dnzhtravels
