MY BBQ GUIDE TO THE WORLD CUP American BBQ food has to be up there with my favourite cuisines. I went to all 16 World Cup host cities to try and find the best spots. Here’s my list 🇺🇸 Hutchins, Dallas Pecan Lodge, Dallas Truth BBQ, Houston Killen’s, Houston Fox Bros, Atlanta Cherry St, Toronto Joe’s, Kansas City Adam Perry Lang, LA
I try to keep it positive on here but when a gaff is taking the piss, I feel like I should probably talk about it. Sa Capella in Ibiza is one of those places. I don’t even mind paying top dollar for a class meal. But this was bang average. I checked the menu beforehand and made peace with parting with a hefty sum for a great night of food. I don’t like posting negative stuff like this but I want to be honest and transparent on here. Nothing about it warranted a price anywhere near what it was. I also just clocked on the bill my bottle of water was €11 😂 AVOID.

500 DAYS SOBER I don’t really talk too much about my sobriety online these days. I did at the start. In fact I wouldn’t shut up about it. I was just proud and in total disbelief that I was actually able to stop drinking. I was really doing it. Something I genuinely thought was impossible for me. I never want to preach or make anyone feel any type of way about their own relationship with alcohol, but it was slowly fucking my life up and had been for many years. I had to stop. It’s not easy and every day brings its own challenges, but my life has been flipped on its head. From depression and suicidal thoughts to having the same joy and love I had for the world when I was a child. Today I’m just really fucking proud of myself. Don’t worry, I promise I won’t bore you to death about it again until I hit 1000 days ❤️

Here’s my top 10. 10 is North East pizza in Kansas City. A brand new spot doing crispy pizza the right way. 9 is Regina in Boston using a 100 year brick oven to deliver incredible flavour on all their pies. 8 is Sonny’s in LA. One of the only truly decent slices I had on the west coast. 7 is Del Rossi in Philadelphia. A Michelin recognised cheesesteak spot doing amazing pizza. 6 is Badiali in Toronto where this bloke’s pizza tossing skills blew my mind and the slices were excellent. 5 is Angelo’s in Philadelphia. They treat dough like an art form. Just a ridiculously good pizza. 4 is Johns of Bleecker St. About as old school as it gets. One of New York’s OG spots doing whole pizzas, no slices. 3 is Miami Slice. A vibey slice shop where the pizza is a bit more bougie than your average but the flavours are insane. My number 2 is L’Industrie, which has actually just been voted number 1 slice shop in America by people who know a lot more about pizza than me. So you know it’s good. But my favourite place, and my number 1 spot goes to AK Pizza in Seattle. You have to pre-order online and it sells out in seconds. It’s just one man and his wife. The premium ingredients and the care put into every single pizza blew my mind. All 16 episodes are on my YouTube now.

SOUPERB - EPISODE 1 Chicken, chorizo, tomato, garlic, chilli and red pepper soup. I really need a catchier name for this masterpiece. INGREDIENTS 1 Chicken breast Half a stick Chorizo 6 tomatoes 2 red peppers 4 cloves garlic 1 onion Olive oil 1 tbsp paprika 1 tbsp chilli flakes 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tin chopped tomatoes 1 tbsp oregano 100ml double cream 500ml chicken stock Pinch of Salt Pepper to taste Pinch of Sugar METHOD Chop your veg and put it on a tray with olive oil in the oven on 180° for about 30 mins. While that cooks down, poach your chicken in the chicken broth. Fry off your chorizo. No extra oil is needed here. When it’s cooked, remove it from the pan but keep the chorizo oil it creates. Pour the chopped tomatoes in along with all the seasonings, salt pepper and sugar. Simmer on low. Take the chicken out and shred it. Put it all together in a saucepan and blend. Add the chicken, chorizo and cream. Serve with more cream and olive oil and ENJOY. #soup #souprecipe #soupseason
