I start my morning with a cup of this 🥣 After I learned that most store bought broths are basically flavored water, I’ve decided to always have my own homemade broth on hand. The steps are super easy 👇 🔸Add your chicken or turkey carcass (bones) to a large pot with some onions, carrots, celery, and black peppercorns. 🔸Fill the pot with water until the carcass is fully submerged. 🔸Simmer on medium low heat for about 4-6 hours and then skim the top of the water clean. 🔸Cover the pot and continue simmering for another 16-18 hours. You might have to drop the temp to low to avoid boiling with the lid on. 🔸Strain out all the bones and veggies. 🔸Fill up some wide mouth mason jars leaving about an inch gap from the top. 🔸Let the jars cool before freezing. 💡Pro Tip: Using a pressure cooker can speed up this process considerably! That’s how I normally make it, but I assumed most people don’t have one. #foodart #broth #bonebroth #instafoodie

Get juicy turkey without brining 🦃 🍷 Brining a turkey tastes amazing but I don’t like the prep work involved when you can cook a juicy, delicious turkey in a fraction of the time. 👇 Here’s the recipe: 🔹Start by removing the spine of the turkey with kitchen shears or a knife. Flip the bird over and apply pressure on the breast side to flatten it out. You’ll hear a crack. 🔹You can make any compound butter flavor you like. Here’s the one I made: Chop one shallot and add to a pan. Add in 1/2 cup of red wine, on medium heat cook until the wine is almost gone. Let it cool and then mix together with 1 stick of butter, 1 TBS of parsley, salt and pepper. 🔹 Take your compound butter and rub underneath the skin of your turkey. 🔹Season your turkey with a paultry seasoning (I like one with paprika for color) 🔹Set your smoker or oven to 325°F, Place the turkey breast side up in and cook for 3-4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F in the breast and 175°F in the thighs. 🔹Let it rest for 10-15 minutes before serving. Perfect for a juicy, flavorful feast! #SmokedTurkey #turkeyrecipe #foodart #instafoodie #easyrecipe

How many Dinosaurs did you count?🦕🌋 Not only did this meal look awesome but it tasted incredible as well. The sweetness of the bun and butter paired great with the richness of the meat! What themed meal should I make next? 👇 Full recipe: 🌋 LAVA BUNS INGREDIENTS: 🔸1.5 cups warm milk 🔸1 Tbsp melted butter 🔸2 Tbsp sugar 🔸1 Tsp salt 🔸2 Tsp instant dry yeast 🔸Red gel food coloring as needed 🔸3 cups all-purpose flour 🪨 TOPPING: ▪️1 1/4 cup rice flour ▪️1 Tsp instant dry yeast ▪️1 Tbsp sugar ▪️1 Tbsp vegetable oil ▪️3/4 cup warm water ▪️Black gel food coloring as needed ▪️1/2 tsp coarse salt 🍖 BEEF SHORT RIBS: 🔹Trim off excess fat and season with 50/50 salt and pepper. Leave in the fridge over night 🔹The next day, smoke them at 250°F using @bearmountainbbq apple pellets 🔹When they hit 175°F, wrap them in butcher paper with 4 tbsp of lard (or tallow but I like lard more). Turn the smoker up to 275°F. 🔹Pull them off when they hit 200° and let them rest in a warm oven. 🦴 BONE MARROW BUTTER: ▫️ Smoke 3 cross cut beef bones for 30 minutes at 250°F ▫️ Place them in a 375°F Oven for another 15 minutes to roast. ▫️ Scoop out the marrow and mix with half a stick of butter, 2 tbsp of honey, and 2 tsp of garlic powder #barbecue #foodart #instafoodie #beefrib

Samoan Smashburger 🇼🇸 ⬇️ I love sharing and educating others on Polynesian flavors, especially people on the mainland with Samoan dishes. So when @alfskitchen_ and @jortskitchen came to Montana, I wanted to share 2 of my favorite dishes: Palusami & Pani Popo. Because Alf’s Kitchen is a smashburger maestro, we came up with the plan to make the Pani Popo as our burger bun. The idea absolutely paid off because what we got was the fluffiest and most perfect bun with the coconut sauce in each bite. Shout out to @boothcreekwagyu for the wagyu ground beef. It just melted in our mouth and pulled our burger together! Grill: @solostove Instructions: 1. Dice your luau leaves and add 1 can of coconut cream, 1/2 can of coconut milk and pinch of salt and bring to a boil until leaves are cooked through 2. My Pani Popo recipe is on my page, we just made the dough balls double the size then normal to turn it into a burger bun 3. Make 4oz balls 4. Preheat your griddle to the highest temperature; at least 450 degrees 5. When your griddle is ready, place your patties and smash, add your @mccormickspice seasoning and onions 6. In 90 seconds flip and add cheese 7. Close lid to steam and melt cheese 8. Cut your Pani Popo bun in half 9. Add your double double patties, your palusami then top of bun 10. Enjoy! Please tag your Polynesian friends to see if they would smash on this burger! Is this an automatic smash despite chances of gout?? #palusami #smashburger #samoanfood #samoa #hawaiistagram

Chicken Skin Wrapped Bacon💥Full Recipe👇 🚨 NOTE: You don’t need a smoker to dry the skin. See alternatives below. Now, some recipes are better without chicken skin (soups, braises, meal prep). Throwing it away, though, wastes a ton of flavor that can be used elsewhere. Repurpose it and turn it into the best snack I may have ever had! It’s not something you’d eat every day, and that’s the point. Treat yourself. 🥓🐔 🔥Full Recipe: 🔸 Harvest chicken skin 🔸 Lay skin flat on a wire rack over a tray 🔸 Wrap the chicken skin around bacon 🔸 Season (I used @blazingstarbbq ) 🔸 Smoke at 180–200°F for ~40 minutes to add smoke and dry the skin 🔹 No Smoker? 🔹 Dry the chicken skin overnight on a wire rack in the fridge 🔹 Or bake at 200°F for ~40 minutes before the next steps 🔸 Transfer to a parchment-lined tray 🔸 Place parchment and a second tray on top to press them flat 🔸 Bake at 425°F for 20 minutes (depending on your oven) 🔸 Remove the top tray and bake another 10 minutes to finish crisping Would you eat this? #Bacon #Foodart #instafoodie
