Since then, we’ve stayed in touch through social media, crossed paths around Chicago, and even attended one of her events earlier this year. This is me before caffeine & we love @lily.fit2 dance moves at the gym 🕺🏻 💃 The cat-cow stretch is one of my go-to mobility movements for spinal flexibility, posture, and warming up the back. At first it felt a little awkward (and definitely looks interesting in public), but once you feel the movement through your spine, the benefits really click. It’s a quick turnaround between races, so the focus has been on recovery following my shortened Runna training plan to prepare for the Bank of America 13.1 Half Marathon. My last race taught me a lot. I know what to expect, where I can improve, & how much I’m capable of pushing when things get tough. “If I can film someone running the Chicago Marathon, I think I can film an IRONMAN 70.3.” That was my first thought when Logan reached out and asked me to capture his first IRONMAN 70.3 in Rockford earlier this month. One of the things I enjoy most about videography is the challenge. Fast paced events force you to think ahead & make every shot count. As a one person production team, planning was everything before race day. I knew I could cover the swim and run with some help from Logan’s family at spectator locations. The biggest challenge was the bike course. Since there was no way to follow him for all 56 miles on my own, we planned ahead and filmed cycling sequences the day before to help tell the full story. I’m happy with how this recap turned out & grateful to have documented such a huge milestone for Logan. Congratulations again on becoming an IRONMAN 70.3 finisher. This morning I got to attend the opening with some amazing friends, explore the space, and do a little shopping.
