I'm not one of those "RENTING IS THROWING AWAY MONEY" types, in fact renting is probably financially better is most cities right now But if you have kids, owning a home makes more sense. Knowing that you're locked into the house long term and seeing the kids grow up with the neighbors kids and go to the same school, it does make a difference the appreciate of the home value to me is secondary

@Molson_Hart I feel the pain. Dealing with the same thing in Texas $1,500 / month premium with $10k / $20k (fam) deductible. 2027 is probably going to be worse… but I don’t have the balls to go without insurance though It’s one of the biggest drawbacks to being self employed
