The Biz Takeaway: If you want to understand culture, open the corp fridge. 2015 work perks = free kombucha, Kind Bar closet, full fridge of Grk yogurt. 44% of cos offered free snacks — the goal: make workers happy + keep them in the office longer. 10 yrs later, those fridges look diff. In this economy, way less free stuff. And instead of nap pods + dried mango, now it’s nicotine. Reflects the pivot in priorities → productivity (or at least presumed productivity). AI ind is so cutthroat rn, some employers are basically endorsing your new drug habit. Wanna know where culture’s headed? Open the corp fridge. See what’s free.

There are 2 types of tariffs: 1 - Product tariffs (steel, aluminum) are tied to nat’l security — those seem safe. 2 - Country tariffs (China-only) were tied to a nat’l emergency — SC will probably cancel ’em.
