New Mexico is one of the most tight-knit states in the country, and right now, there are federal changes to SNAP food assistance that our community needs to know about. I have partnered with the New Mexico Health Care Authority to help spread the word. These changes will take effect when someone renews their benefits or applies for the first time. Some groups may be impacted more than others, including adults subject to new work requirements, households facing documentation or citizenship changes, or those dealing with new paperwork at renewal. But this list isn't exhaustive; everyone currently receiving SNAP should double-check their eligibility. The most important thing you can do right now — whether this affects you or someone you love — is stay informed. Everyone who receives assistance should check their eligibility and update their contact information ASAP, no matter what. Be on the lookout for information arriving via mail. The New Mexico Health Care Authority is available to answer any questions, including whether you qualify for any exceptions. If you haven’t been to Meow Wolf Santa Fe in a while, you haven’t seen everything yet. Life got busy, so it had been a bit since my last visit to The House of Eternal Return. But I love going to @Meow Wolf with someone who hasn’t been before, and so we recently took my one-year-old son, and I was reminded just how great the original Meow Wolf is. House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe, New Mexico is a living, changing exhibition, and there’s always something new to discover. My son is still too young to follow the mysterious storyline, search for clues, and piece together the secrets hidden throughout the exhibit, but there was still so much for him to explore. He loved taking in the lights, colors, sounds, and interactive elements around every corner. Float Cafe was also a pleasant surprise. I remembered the great cocktails and grab-and-go snacks from previous visits, but the cooked food options were new to me. We ordered the Chicken Tenders, the Southwest Chile Cheese Dog, a Soft Pretzel, and a Churro Sundae, and we loved it all. Worth a stop before, after, or as a break during your visit. And this summer, Meow Wolf Santa Fe is adding another layer to the experience with Phenomenomaly, a new immersive live performance series running throughout the season on select dates! If it’s been a while since your last visit, this is your nudge to go again. When was the last time you visited Meow Wolf Santa Fe? 🌀#MeowWolfPartner

There is a new swanky spot in the Santa Fe Railyard, and it’s perfect for a classy night out. I went to Gatsby’s Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge for the first time on a Friday night a few weeks ago and immediately loved the vibe. Gatsby’s has a softly-lit speakeasy atmosphere that feels cozy and elevated, and the champagne on entry sets the tone perfectly. Their menu had a great range, and they have an impressive selection of spirits. Their drink menu includes the classics, a list of signature cocktails, wines by the glass, and even a one-hundred-dollar margarita if you are feeling really bougie! A member of their staff gave me a tour, and I got to peek into the private rooms with balcony access that you can rent. They would be perfect for nights when concerts are happening in the Railyard, and you want your own spot with a view. I ordered the Daisy Kiss, and it was precisely the kind of cocktail I love, so I ordered a second one. James had a dirty martini and said it was the best he had ever had. We shared the truffle fries, the street tacos, and an impressively sized and tasty tuna tartare. Every single thing was so so good. Their daily happy hour runs from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with three cocktails discounted to $10 each and 20% off the entire food menu. They have live music on Fridays starting at 6:00 pm, and musicians were setting up as we were heading out, so I want to go back and experience it next time! They also have late hours and a late-night menu offered, which is always exciting! We will definitely be back! #SantaFe #SantaFeRailyard #Gatsbys

If you’re looking for a sweet treat on the Santa Fe Plaza and also want to add some whimsy to your day, you need to stop into Chainé Specialty Cookie Shop on Burro Alley! Chainé is the cutest little pink cookie shop, and I will happily go out of my way to stop in for some of their fabulous French-style macaroons and specialty cookies! I love how they constantly switch up the flavors so you can try new ones. My favorite cookie is the cereal cookie with fruity pebbles! My friends have all been raving about their Cherry Almond Matcha, and now, after my recent visit, I completely understand the hype! If you’re not into matcha, they also have chai and espresso drinks like lattes and cappuccinos. The shop is open weekdays from 10 to 3 (except closed Mondays) and weekends from 11 to 4, or until they sell out of cookies, which happens quite often during popular tourist months. So, plan ahead if this spot is on your must-visit list, and it should be! #ChaineSantaFe #SantaFePlaza #SantaFeNewMexico

This might be one of the most anticipated restaurant openings in Santa Fe! Salad Fe did something I wish more businesses would do. They announced their plans early, kept the community updated, and built anticipation instead of simply opening their doors one day. That’s a big reason why so many locals have been excited for this one. Salad Fe recently opened at DeVargas Center and I stopped in a few weeks ago during their first few days of soft opening. Right now they are serving salads all made to order right in front of you, with every dressing crafted in-house. They plan to offer wraps and protein bowls once they find their footing. I ordered the signature full Greco salad: romaine hearts and spring mix, knife cut genoa salami, chickpeas, feta, english cucumber, sweetie drop peppers, crispy onions, and a creamy greek vinaigrette. I also added chicken to it, and the salad was gigantic! I do like that they offer some of their salads as half salads. Add this to your Santa Fe lunch list!

I recently enjoyed some incredible food on a @Simply Social Media influencer trip for @Visit Las Cruces! Save this post to reference next time you’re planning a trip to Las Cruces, New Mexico! The Elote Ribs appetizer from Bosque Brewing Company’s Public House. My new favorite way to eat elotes. This dish is part of Bosque’s new Craft Kitchen Menu, now available at select locations throughout New Mexico. This ceviche from Si Señor wasn’t even on the menu, but it should be, and they’ll happily make it by request. The sauce was incredible and paired perfectly with their Rosa Bonita gin cocktail. Everything at FARMesilla! On my recent trip to Las Cruces, our influencer group enjoyed a fabulous lunch from Chef Becky’s catering menu, and it was one of the best meals I’ve had lately. The Habanero Pickled Shrimp and the Rioja Braised Beef Short Ribs were so delicious. I also learned FARMesilla was recently purchased by Icebox Brewing Company. Still, the plan is to keep it the same beloved farm-to-table restaurant we know while expanding it further. The Açaí Bowl from Grounded Coffee. They have five different varieties, and the Alma is my favorite. Grounded is a retro coffee bar, wood-fired pizza, and wine lounge with many plant-based and gluten-free options, which makes me so happy. I’ve got a few more trips to southern New Mexico coming up, so I’ll have even more to share soon! Give me a follow for more things to do in New Mexico! #VisitLasCruces #ExploreMesilla #MesillaNewMexico #NewMexico #NewMexicoTrue

The Food Depot’s 30th annual Souper Bowl event is coming up on Saturday, January 31, and now is the time to grab your tickets, because the price goes up on January 1! This is one of my favorite winter events in Santa Fe, New Mexico, because you get to enjoy soup season while helping the local community. Every ticket purchased directly supports the hunger-relief programming The Food Depot does across nine northern New Mexican counties. Two dozen local chefs come together to create soups across four categories: Cream, Savory, Seafood, and Vegetarian, plus an overall Best Soup vote. Spend the afternoon warm inside sampling all the soup and voting for your favorites. General admission tickets right now are $35, tickets for kids are $20, and it always sells out early! If you have been thinking about going, get your tickets soon. Good soup for a good purpose! #TheFoodDepot#TheSouperBowl #SantaFeNewMexico

Rooftop season is back in Santa Fe, New Mexico! The Bell Tower rooftop bar at La Fonda on the Plaza just reopened for the season, and they’ve made some updates this year. There are new patio couches, a refreshed cocktail menu, and new food offerings from Chef Marc Quiñones. This spot is known for its unbeatable views overlooking the Santa Fe Plaza, and it’s open daily from noon to sunset May through late October. We went for brunch this past weekend and ordered the Chips, Salsa and Guacamole, Yellowtail Crudo, Grilled and Chilled Shrimp and Avocado Cocktail, Guava BBQ Chicken Shish Kabob, and the Green Chile Cheeseburger. The Crudo and the Burger were my favorites! For drinks, I loved the La Fonda Reposado Special Margarita and James got the Painkiller, which was also really good. When was the last time you went to the Bell Tower? Send this to someone who needs a rooftop cocktail! #BellTower #LaFonda #SantaFe #NewMexico

If you love having your hair played with, and tbh who doesn’t, you need to try this! I had an incredible experience at @MocHeadSpa in Albuquerque, the first head spa in New Mexico! It was genuinely one of the most relaxing things I have done in a long time. I booked the Restore treatment, which is one-hour long and $108, and Ashtynn, the specialist who did my service, was incredible. When you arrive at Mộc Head Spa, you start by choosing one of six aromatherapy options, then change into their silk gown and silk robe with spa slippers, and they get up close and personal with your scalp so you can actually see the areas they will be focusing on during your session. It was fascinating and also kind of satisfying. If you’ve seen videos of head spas before, there is this calming water spout that flows over your head which I thought was going to be the star of the show, but somehow it was not even my favorite part. The vibrating scalp massager and the silicone brushes that break up dead skin and clogged follicles were next level. If this sounds soothing to you, this experience is going to ruin you for regular spa days. The entire space is calm, beautiful, and quiet. I left feeling lighter, clearer, and like my brain had finally shut off for the first time in weeks. If you have long and or thick hair, there is an additional charge, which is something to keep in mind when booking. Send this to someone who needs to treat themselves! 🧖🏼‍♀️

The Traditional Spanish Market and Contemporary Hispanic Market take over the Santa Fe Plaza this weekend! These two separate annual art markets happen side by side, the last weekend in July, and highlight historic and modern artwork by Hispanic artists from across New Mexico. Traditional Spanish Market booths surround the main Santa Fe Plaza square, and the Contemporary Hispanic Market extends down Lincoln Ave. You can find hand-carved bultos, retablos, mixed media, jewelry, paintings, and so much more! If you missed it, mark your calendar now—next year’s markets will be held July 26–27, 2025! #santafenewmexico

Part 2 of letting cards determine our itinerary in Alamogordo for a super fun girls' trip! In partnership with @City of Alamogordo Government, my friend Jen and I spent the weekend in Southern New Mexico, and we made cards to decide what to do in Alamogordo! The first half of day two included coffee at FOR Otero Grounds Coffee Shop, a quick stop at the "Greetings from Alamogordo" mural at the Visitors Center, and then our first card, which led us to the World's Largest Pistachio at McGinn's PistachioLand (@pistachioland), home to 90 acres of pistachio trees and 14 acres of grapes. We took the tour on the Nut Bus, where we learned a lot about how pistachios are grown, sampled pistachio wine from Arena Blanca Winery, enjoyed a cone of pistachio ice cream, and stocked up on souvenirs. Tip: If the ice cream line is super long, there is a second location, McGinn's Hwy 82 Store, just a few minutes away! Then the cards sent us to the nearby village of Tularosa, where locals recommended the tacos at Loredo's Bakery, and the brisket tacos were seriously so good. Jen loved the chile relleno she ordered, and we split a "puro" pan dulce with raspberry inside that was incredible. We happened to catch the St. Francis de Paula Danzante Dancers' procession for Fiestas, which felt cool to stumble upon. And then we visited some familiar friends at Tularosa’s roadside attraction, inspired by the movie “Cars!” We did so much this day that I'll have to make a part three of our Alamogordo, New Mexico, trip coming soon! Save this for your next New Mexico road trip. #AlamogordoPartner #VisitAlamogordo #AlamogordoNM #NMTrue #NewMexicoTrue @New Mexico True

If you haven’t been to Grounded in downtown Las Cruces, it’s a spot you need to know about. Grounded Lounge is a retro coffee bar, wood-fired pizza spot, and wine lounge with an impressive number of plant-based and gluten-free options, which makes me so happy. I make a point to stop in whenever I’m in downtown Las Cruces. This latest trip with @Visit Las Cruces, I went twice. During the Saturday morning farmers market, I ordered a lavender oat milk latte made with their house-made lavender syrup and my favorite açaí bowl, the Alma. Then before our road trip back to Santa Fe, @Carlyn Stewart and I stopped back in and I grabbed their new breakfast sandwich and a Mexican vanilla iced latte, both of which hit the spot. The space is much larger than it looks from the outside, filled with quirky seating, colorful murals, and an adorable patio I spotted after my first stop. I’m already planning to spend more time out there next visit. They also serve wine and wood-fired pizza, which I’ll definitely be back to try soon. Have you been to Grounded yet? #GroundedLasCruces #VisitLasCruces #LasCruces #NewMexico

I have wanted to stop at Sparky’s Burgers, Barbecue & Espresso in Hatch, New Mexico for years, and on our recent trip to southern New Mexico, we finally made it happen! Hatch, New Mexico is known as the Chile Capital of the World, and Sparky’s has become a legendary roadside stop for one of the state’s most talked-about green chile cheeseburgers. James and I both ordered the Combo #1, which includes their famous green chile cheeseburger, a side, and a drink. The burger absolutely lived up to its reputation. The pieces of roasted Hatch green chile were huge and piled on generously, and it definitely had some heat to it. James also ordered a vanilla shake that looked really tasty and thick A fun detail I didn’t know about before going was they give you fortune cookies with your meal, and the restaurant walls are covered with fortunes that people have stuck among the fun and eclectic art that covers nearly every surface. The outside of the restaurant is very memorable with giant statues and colorful roadside figures that make it impossible to miss when you drive through Hatch. If you are ever driving through southern New Mexico and love green chile cheeseburgers, Sparky’s in Hatch is definitely a spot worth stopping for!

Midtown Santa Fe is one of the most talked-about developments in the city right now, and on May 28 you can walk through it as an insider. Santa Fe Rising is hosting a progressive open-house evening through some of Midtown's most exciting spaces, and it might be the most interesting networking event Santa Fe has seen in a while! We’ll move through new businesses, meet the people building things there, and connect with other young professionals who care about where this city is headed. Here's what's included: tastings at Tender Fire Kitchen, a pop-up from The Dirty Dragon Acai Food Truck, a behind-the-scenes look at Sky Cinemas Midtown with popcorn, a visit to the New Mexico Innovation Hub, and informal meet-and-greets with Santa Fe elected officials. Santa Fe Rising: Midtown Experience takes place Thursday, May 28 from 5:00 to 7:30 PM in Midtown Santa Fe. Admission is $10 for Santa Fe Chamber (@santafechamber) members and $15 for non-members. Link is on Santa Fe Chamber’s website or DM me and I’ll send it to you! Register here: https://web.santafechamber.com/atlas/events/5970/details. Our four month old’s first trip to the Albuquerque BioPark Aquarium was such a joy. Seeing him completely entranced by the sea animals reminded us how magical the world feels when you’re experiencing it for the first time. Watching his little eyes follow the fish and jellyfish was the sweetest way to spend Labor Day as a family! The Albuquerque BioPark Aquarium is such a gem for all ages, whether you’re introducing your baby to the wonders of the sea or exploring the exhibits yourself. The sea otters are my favorite, but they were being shy when we visited. For New Mexico residents, admission is just $10 for adults, $5 for youth ages 3–12, and children 2 and under are free. Plus, who wouldn’t want to enjoy an afternoon bottle at the Shark Reef Café? #ABQBioPark

Part 3 of letting cards determine our itinerary in Alamogordo for a super fun girls' trip! In partnership with @City of Alamogordo Government, my friend Jen and I spent the weekend in Southern New Mexico, and we made cards to decide what to do in Alamogordo! Picking up from our afternoon detour in Tularosa, the second half of day two started at the incredibly aesthetic Tumbleweed Lounge at Tularosa Distillery, where they distill their own Sotol. The “Sotold Fashioned” is made with their reserve Sotol and might be the best old fashioned I've ever had. We wanted to stop into their retail shop, The Desert Spoon, but it was closed that weekend, so we'll have to try again on our next visit. Back in Alamogordo, we wandered into the Alameda Park Zoo, which claims to be the oldest zoo in the Southwest. It's a 12-acre facility with over 200 animals representing more than 90 species, and the river otters absolutely stole the show. Then our next card sent us to dinner at DH Lescombes, where I finally satisfied a serious meatloaf craving. Their 631 Chenin Blanc and Imperial Kir are two of my favorites, and you can also get them at Hervé in Santa Fe! Last card of the night meant frozen custard for dessert at Caliche's (@Caliches🍦) right as the sun was setting. Their Mint de Caliche is my go-to. Then, we squeezed in one more stop the next morning at Waffle & Pancake Shoppe before the drive home! A whole weekend of fun in Alamogordo, New Mexico, was decided one card at a time. Already planning when we go back. Save this for your next New Mexico road trip! #VisitAlamogordoPartner #AlamogordoNM #NewMexicoTrue #NMTrue @New Mexico True

After five years of building a loyal following through pop-ups, Tender Fire Kitchen is opening its very first brick-and-mortar location in the Midtown District! I had the chance to visit during their soft opening, after eagerly watching the construction come together on social media for months. Tender Fire Kitchen was created as a warm, welcoming gathering place centered around soulful food and genuine hospitality. Their menu features organic, locally sourced, seed-oil-free ingredients, with wood-fired sourdough pizzas offered with meat, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. I ordered the Soppressata pizza, which was incredible! I planned on taking some home, but ended up finishing the whole thing. It paired perfectly with the Casita-Rita, which is like a classic margarita sweetened with honey! They also have a big wine selection, lots of local beers, and a full bar. I was also extremely impressed by how kid-friendly this space is! They have high chairs, silicone tableware to borrow, and coloring pages with crayons. They will also have a dog-friendly patio opening up when the weather is consistently warm. I have been a big fan of Tender Fire since their pop-up days, so seeing them open a permanent home here feels like a huge moment for the Santa Fe food scene. Tender Fire Kitchen officially opens to their community on March 6th, and to the greater public on March 13, at 1025 Midtown Calle Central in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with reservations available soon on Resy. I believe they plan to be open Thursday through Monday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.  Share this with someone you want to try this new Santa Fe pizza spot with!

Spending Día de los Muertos in Mesilla, New Mexico, was such a special experience! This was my first time visiting during the celebration, and I was moved by how much thought and care families put into their ofrendas honoring loved ones who have passed. The Mesilla plaza was filled with local vendors, music, and beautiful performances by Grupo Ville del Sol Folklorico, creating an atmosphere that was both festive and reflective. #VisitLasCruces #ExploreMesilla #MesillaNewMexico #NewMexico #NewMexicoTrue
