You get to pick which way you’d like to go! You honestly can’t go wrong! . 💦 So many clear alpine lakes along the way! I have challenged myself to go in every single one & it was phenomenal. There is nothing like a swim in these chilly, snow runoff lakes. . ⛺️ We did 3 days 2 nights which was perfect! It allowed us to keep a good pace but also stop and swim, snack, and just take in the views whenever we wanted! . 🌄 The sunrises and sunsets were unbelievable and left us feeling in awe of our surroundings! There is something so special about witnessing such beauty! . 🐶 I took Finley with me & it was wonderful to have him by our side and sniffling in our 2 person tent! Dogs must be on leash during certain times of year be sure to check the rules before hitting the trail. . 🏔️ If you can sneak one more hiking, backpacking trip in this season, I highly recommend you do this one! It was the highlight of my summer and no doubt in my mind it will be yours too! . 💕 Idaho Mountains hold a special place in my heart and there is something so amazing about hiking yourself up to these sacred spaces & witnesses such natural beauty! . ⁉️ Have you had the chance to hike in the Sawtooths yet?! . . . . . 🌿 listen to the river rush while you sit in the steam . 💕 It’s a little wild… a little rugged… and completely unforgettable. . ⚠️ A few things to know:
• Clothing optional (come prepared either way)

• Gets busy in warmer months
• Dogs allowed but NOT near or in the springs

The steps are a connector between 2 trails, you will leave Red-winged Blackbird and then start walking on Chickadee Ridge . 🥾A very short 0.4 mile trail with only 100 elevation gain or loss depending on which way you take the trail. This short pedestrian-only hiking trail that is a connector trail to others in the area. Crossing Hulls Creek that connects Camelsback Park to Chickadee Ridge. . 📍Located right behind Camels Back Park but feels very remote and offers incredible views once on it. . 🌳 Plenty of shade to and from this trail and short making it easy to quickly check this lovely hike off. . 🐶 It is an ON LEASH trail until you turn to head up these gorgeous steps that take you to Chick-a-dee Ridge. Then it is off leash with a well-behaved pup who stays within 30 ft of you. . 💦Always pack enough water for yourself & your dog. This is not a shaded trail so it can get rather warm in the middle of the day. . 🐾 Bring your own poop 💩 bags to clean up after your dog and have a bag to carry it bc trash cans 🚮 are sparse in this area of the trail. . ⚠️ Leave No Trace - stay on the trail, don’t wander offer or make your own trail through the flowers or grass. - Don’t pick the flowers. Only take photos and leave them for others to enjoy. - Pack out what you pack in. Never leaving trash behind or carving in rocks or trees. . 🌿This is such a beautiful time to get outside and enjoy all that Boise has to offer! There is something so magical about this spot and I love that they have so many soaking pools and a tub to choose from! . 🚘 A short 2 - 2.5 hour drive from Boise, makes McCall an incredible weekend trip to enjoy! . 📍Burgdorf is a rustic, historic resort nestled in the mountains of the Payette National Forest in central Idaho, 32 miles north of McCall. . ⏰ They are open to the public for cabin stays and day-soaks by reservation only. . ❄️ During the winter months (December -April) the springs are accessible by snowmobile. . 🌞Summer months (June - October) the springs can be accessed by car. . 💦Burgdorf offers three historic log sided pools with gravel bottoms. Two small pools at the source of the spring fluctuate around 118 degrees. They offer dressing rooms to change before and after your soak. . 💰 Entrance Fee - Adults - $20 - Children - $15 - Seniors - $15 . 🪵You also have the option to book a cabin and make a full staycation of this incredible space. A real self-care getaway! Cabin guests have 24 hour access to the hot springs. They are rustic cabins, more like camping in a nice log structure. Sounds like a fun adventure to me! But…. I have to admit winter might be my favorite with the dramatic icicles dangling from the rocks. . 📝This is a MUST GO spot in southern Idaho & one that you truly don’t want to miss! I had the best time exploring this magical place & didn’t want to leave! It’s an incredible place to visit and one that should not be missed! . 👌🏻You can experience this incredible waterfall in a couple different ways! . 💦You can walk behind the waterfall and see the beauty from both sides and below. You will just park your car on the side of the road in designated parking areas right before Centennial Waterfront Park. The trail can get icy in the winter so dress accordingly with high traction boots. . 🥾 Hike the short trail from below being able to see the waterfall from below and complete the full circle below, underneath, and beside the waterfall. . 🏞️ Or you can view it from above by walking along the Canyon Rim Trail. . 👌🏻Any and all ways of viewing and experiencing this waterfall is a must do in my book! I was completely blown away by the beauty of the waterfall and its sheer magnitude while standing beneath it. . ⚠️Always pack out what you pack in and leave this gorgeous area looking better than you found it!
