Come with me on a winter weekend escape with @IkonPass to Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario, Canada! Just a short drive from Toronto, this might be one of the quickest (and most affordable) international ski getaways from the U.S. 👀 Between skiing (kinda 😅), après ski vibes at the resort’s many restaurants and attractions, anddddd self-care time in the heated pool, ya girl had a time! And given the ease of getting here for a quick getaway, the favorable USD to CAD exchange rate, and the fact that it’s all on the #IkonPass (70+ destinations 👀), this one’s a steal. Have you ever been skiing? Do you enjoy it? #LiveItOutside@ikonpass

Memories of Thailand 🇹🇭… Because did you even go to Southeast Asia if you didn’t get twisted up like a pretzel in the name of self-care?!😝 I’ve spent a total of over three months in the country and massages were pretty much a daily ritual (and guilty pleasure) for me. From traditional Thai massage with stretches and energy-line pressure (my absolute fave😍), to soothing oil, aromatherapy, or herbal massages, there’s a style for everyone. And if you’re not a fan of fully body massages, foot massages are perfect after a day of exploring. Prices are super reasonable: Thai massages range from about $6-15 USD/hour (250–500 THB), depending on the location and how bougie the parlor is. Just make sure to communicate your preferred pressure, mention any injuries, and avoid eating heavy meals beforehand! Have you ever done this? Would you ever do this? 📍Koh Samui, Thailand #kohsamui #thailand #traveltiktok #fyp

Based on true events… 🫠 As someone who has traveled extensively as well as lived overseas for the past two decades, the questions and assumptions about just how I’m able to travel the world the way I do could fill several volumes. The crazy part? The people asking usually aren’t the locals in the countries I’m visiting but my fellow American and Canadian tourists (of a certain demographic) 😅. Can y’all relate? Let me know if this has ever happened to you while traveling (and what your reaction was)👀👀 #Microaggressions #travel #fyp #BlackTikTok

A bit of a chaotic video because I was running to catch a flight but I really wanted to comment on this trash take! Travel elitism often says more about a person’s insecurities than their level of sophistication, because real confidence doesn’t need to compete over passport stamps and travel experiences! Also, this conversation feels so “new money” in nature… flexing because you have the finances to travel/won the birth lottery/have passport privilege is SO tired. Anyway, what’s your opinion? Three African countries you should absolutely add to your bucket list While visiting more popular destinations like Morocco is always a great idea, there’s truly no better time to expand your travels and explore more of what the African continent has to offer. And after spending nearly 3 months traveling through Africa on our 6-month round the world trip last year, I think these three are a great place to start: 🇳🇦 Namibia • Dramatic desert scenery where towering sand dunes meet the ocean • Epic road trips, wide-open spaces, and some of the darkest night skies for stargazing 🇿🇲 Zambia • Home to Victoria Falls—one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in the world • Incredible safari and cultural experiences, also very easy to combine with a trip to nearly South Africa and Zimbabwe 🇲🇬 Madagascar • Unlike anywhere else on Earth, with wildlife you can’t find anywhere else like lemurs! • Insane landscapes—from baobab-lined roads to pristine beaches Have you traveled to Africa before? 🌍 If so, which countries have you visited—and which ones are still on your bucket list? #africa #travel

Couldn’t help doing this trend…😊 I’m Jamaican-Canadian, he’s German. We met in Hong Kong, first said I love you in Vietnam, and got married in Berlin (at least I think we did— the ceremony was completely in German and I barely understood a thing 😂). ____ We maintained an EXTREME long distance relationship (and by extreme, I mean we lived on two different continents) for 4.5 YEARS while we pursued personal, professional, and financial goals. We’ve since made homes together in London, New York City, Berlin, and Miami and have travelled as a couple to over 100 countries. ___ Ours is a mature, modern love story that defies the typical “boy meets girl” narrative, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. So shoutout to my rock, protector, honest critic, eternal supporter, and the best friend I’ve ever had. Hard to believe that what I thought was a casual fling (I was ALL about living my best single life back then 😂) has turned into a SIXTEEN year relationship 😅. Danke für alles, mein Liebling. 😍 #lovestory #Love #traveltiktok

“Motherhood is a part of me, not all of me.” Somewhere along the way, society started telling moms that once we have kids, our entire identity should revolve around them — that we should pour from an empty cup and call it love. But the truth? That narrative is dangerous. Yes, motherhood changes us in the most beautiful ways, but it doesn’t erase the parts of us that existed before. We’re still dreamers, creators, travelers, thinkers — women with ambitions, passions, and a deep need to nurture ourselves, too. When we take care of our own joy, rest, and purpose, we show our kids what it looks like to live fully — not just survive. Here’s to remembering: being a mom adds to who we are. It doesn’t define all that we are. #motherhood #fyp

After 241 days of living out of 2 suitcases and 1 carry-on, your favorite semi-nomadic family has found a new HOME 🥹❤️. While traveling the world to 24 countries as nomads for 5.5 months was an incredible experience, re-integrating back into our lives in the U.S. came with its unique challenges. For example, we didn’t anticipate that it would take another 2.5 months to find a place we liked in Miami or that living in a vacation rental while all our stuff was still in storage would be so difficult (apartment searching here ain’t for the weak😅), that enrolling Kira in school would be so painstaking, and that fulfilling various administrative tasks like filing taxes and getting our car re-insured would be annoying as heck. But after some harrowing moments, things are finally starting to fall into place and we’re super excited to begin this new chapter! I’m having so much fun decorating our new place, let me know if you’re interested in seeing some of my finds and/or some of the apartments we toured but didn’t pick… 👀 What questions do you have for us about traveling long-term or moving back? We’ve definitely experienced some reverse culture shock! #newapartment #miami #homedecor #miamiinfluencer #travelingfamily #husbandandwife #parents #motherhoodmoments #apartmentinspo #designerhome #interiordetails #designinspo #homerenovation #livingroom #interiorstyle #interiordesign #newhomedecor #homesweethome

As someone who talks about travel, culture, and language, I believe words are never “just words.” They carry history… and harm. So what happened at the BAFTA Awards (where Black actors Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were subjected to the n-word while presenting) is layered. The Caucasian attendee who shouted it out, John Davidson, reportedly has Tourette Syndrome, a neurological condition that can cause involuntary vocal tics. While the context matters, so does impact. What are your thoughts? Are we making much ado about nothing? Who should be held accountable? And do you think this would have been handled differently if it happened on an awards show based in the USA (like the Oscars)? #bafta #racism #michaelbjordan #tourettes #delroylindo

Hubby said “aht aht, shy where?!”cuz we’re definitely more alike than people realize…😂 While he’s absolutely the black cat to my golden retriever, he also is the first one to match my energy (especially on the dance floor). Save + Share this bucket list destination in Italy: 📍The Dolomites While Rome is great, make sure to add a stop in the Italian Dolomites to your itinerary — I promise that it’s worth it. Here are a few tips to help plan your visit: 1. The best way to get here is by car. We flew into Venice, rented a car at the airport, and drove about 2.5 hours. It is possible to take the train or bus but requires a number of transfers which will greatly lengthen journey time. 2. Lago di Braies is found in the South Tyrol region of Italy, which is known for its clean air, gorgeous Alpine Lakes, and amazing hiking. The altitude is higher in the region so mornings and evenings can be chilly, even in the summer. 3. May and June are the ideal months to visit— the snow has melted by then and the number of tourists is still relatively low. 4. There is loads to do in the immediate area so plan to stay at least three nights! At Lago di Braies you can rent canoes (though they are deceptively difficult to steer) for about 30 euros/hour. There are a number of great, easy-moderate hikes in the area such as Tre Cime de Lavaredo as well. 5. Accommodation can be pricy and not particularly nice (think: “rustic”) so book well in advance! However, the clip with the alpacas in this video is from the Chalet Al Foss, which is bucket list hotel due to its views, amenities, and furry friends. We also stayed at the Hotel Trenker for 3 nights. 6. This region of Italy used to be a part of Austria so German, not Italian, is spoken predominantly here! While you can get around with just English, my German skills were really put to the test lol. Have you ever been to Italy? Would you visit this part? #italy #travel #dolomites

Yep, I said *country* and will not be elaborating further… 😝 NYC was my home for nearly 7 years and leaving was one of my greatest heartbreaks. What a time to be alive and to be in the city right now, the energy is unmatched! I’m so sad I’m not there right now. 😭 Did you watch the game and/or celebrate the Knicks bringing home the victory? And where my New Yorkers at?! What’s the vibe over there right now?!💙🧡 #knicks #nbafinals #nyc

Was going to post some cute pictures from Tulum, but decided to upload a rant I filmed in the street in Playa del Carmen instead😅😝. Do you make an attempt to learn/use the local language when you travel? Well, I just spent the last week in Mexico being surrounded by entitled (mostly American & Canadian😅) tourists expecting services in English and it ticked me off! My not-so-hot take— if you’re gonna be an ugly tourist who can’t learn a few words of the local language, stay home! What say you? #mexico #travel #playadelcarmen #tulum #uglytourist

Stop dreaming about trips and actually start taking them ✈️ #PayPalPartner Bucket list trips can feel complicated and expensive, which is why they often stay “someday” plans. I used @mindtrip.ai to map everything out in one place, then paid with PayPal Pay Later to split the cost into smaller payments. In my interior design era… 🙂 Decided to decorate my new apartment on a budget because a) this isn’t our forever home and I’m convinced most of this furniture won’t make it to our next residence and b) who is trying to spend tens of thousands of dollars on furniture in this economy?! Not me! Spent just under $1000(!) furnishing our dining nook and while it’s not high end I’m very pleased with the results. Here’s a breakdown of what I got: Jute placemats: $25 (set of 4) Wooden bowl: $30 Rug: $185 Chairs: $320 (set of 4) Table: $600 (but only paid $400 because it arrived with a small chip on the corner) Just a reminder that furnishing your home doesn’t have to break the bank! Being a home after such a busy travel year is altering my brain chemistry ❤️… Loving how much peace this bit of stillness is bringing right now. #apa#apartmentinspos#designerhomet#interiordetailss#designinspom#homerenovationv#livingroomt#interiorstylet#interiordesignw#newhomedecorm#homesweethomez#cozydiningroomr#warmneutralsa#miamiinfluenceramiapartment

Safe to say that our 5.5 month round the world trip to 24 countries was a life-changing experience! ✈️Here are our tips for long term travel [Save + Share]: 1. Be flexible with dates and destinations for the best prices on flights and accommodations. We visit destinations during low season to avoid crowds and inflated costs. 2. Travel more slowly. Not only is slow travel cheaper (many hotels/apartment rentals offer discounts for longer stays), it also helps prevent burnout. 3. Stay longer where your money goes farther. We spent 2 months in Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam because the cost of living is lower. On the flip, we only spent 5 days in New Zealand because it’s expensive. 4. Get a good international phone/data plan. We switched to Google Fi and get high speed internet everywhere we go without having to purchase sim cards every time we hit a new country. 5. Get good travel insurance. When my husband fractured his spine in a snowboarding accident in Switzerland, our insurance *fully* reimbursed us for his treatment and hospital stay. 6. Travel as light as you can. We “chase summer” as much as possible so we don’t have to travel with heavy clothes like coats and boots. I usually only travel with 3-4 pairs of shoes 😭 and use lightweight accessories like headscarves to yield multiple looks. Every few months I donate/swap out my clothing so I don’t get sick of what I’m wearing. 😝 7. Don’t be afraid to go “home”... or bring it to you! We met up with friends/family in Dubai, Namibia, Thailand, and Laos on this past trip. We also don’t feel obligated to continuously be “on the go” and constantly exploring— we spent an entire month in Thailand and barely did any sightseeing— our goal was enjoy the local culture and eat as much Thai food as possible😝! Have you ever traveled long term or thought about it? What questions do you have for me? #travel #viral #fyp

Have you ever traveled long term or thought about it? What questions do you have for me? #travel #viral #fyp
