Whenever my 5 year-old asks for sprinkles… this is what I make 🌈🍦🥥 Ditch the over-processed, sugary sprinkles for something more natural or even homemade! This is my go-to recipe for homemade sprinkles ⬇️ SAVE for later ✔️ All the ingredients linked in my Amazon storefront (link in bio) 🌈🍦🥥 Coconut Rainbow Sprinkles ½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut ½ -1 tsp natural food powder: 🩷 Pink/red: Beetroot or dragonfruit powder; 💛Yellow/orange: Turmeric powder; 💚 Green: Green Spirulina (use a Hawaiian brand as they aren’t fishy tasting); 💙Purple/blue: Blueberry powder or Blue Spirulina; 🤎 Brown: Cocoa powder 1 tsp water (just enough to lightly dampen, not soaking wet) Optional: a drop of vanilla extract and/or liquid stevia for flavour 📝 Preheat the oven to lowest setting (<175°F). If your oven doesn't go that low, prop the door open slightly with a wooden spoon and use “fan off” setting. In a small bowl, combine coconut, natural food powder; mix throughly until evenly coated. Let sit for a minute to absorb. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat. Spread thin, even layer of coloured coconut. Break up any clumps with a fork. Repeat for other colours on separate sections or trays. Place in the oven for 30-60 minutes until fully dried. Stir every 20–30 minutes with a fork to ensure even drying and break up clumps. Check frequently near end. They’re done when fully dry and crisp. Do not let them brown or burn. Remove from the oven; let cool completely on tray. Store in airtight jar or container at room temperature 4-6 weeks. Sprinkle on ice cream, yogurt, chocolate pudding, smoothie bowls, etc.

We don’t drink juice in our house with our kids and here’s why…🧃🚫 I know this one can be controversial, but we made the decision years ago to skip juice and stick to water 💧 Here’s why: Juice is basically sugar water with food colouring. It doesn’t fill them up and can spike their blood sugar. It trains their taste buds to want sweet all the time and then not like the taste of water or say it’s “boring”. Instead, we just do water. They drink it, they’re used to it, and they’re not constantly asking for juice boxes. Water is so important for our health and I want our kids to love and crave water above else when they are thirsty. Do your kids drink juice? I’m genuinely curious how other families handle this 👇

The only cleaners I use in my home with kids & pets 🧽👶🏻🐕 Find all my favourite non-toxic products linked in my SHOPMY page under HOME ✨ When it comes to cleaning my home I only use natural cleaners without artificial fragrances. They work just as great, are usually budget friendly (baking soda, vinegar, lemon and salt) and safer for your family. Especially if you have kids and pets that are all over the furniture and floors you want to know that the products you are spraying all over the place are safe enough to ingest. @Branch Basics @Dupray @Jaspr

PSA: You’re probably cleaning your kids’ plates & cups wrong 🍽️🧼😳 Food, moisture, and silicone sleeves = hidden mold that the dishwasher misses… Here’s exactly how I properly clean everything (plates, bottles, straws, bento boxes & more) so it stays safe and truly non-toxic.

When my 5-year-old asks for fruit roll ups… this is what I make 🍓🍋🥭 homemade fruit roll ups Ingredients: 3 cups fresh or frozen fruit (l used half mango, half raspberries) 1-2 tbsp maple syrup (optional) 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tbsp unflavoured gelatin Instructions: Add the fruit, sweetener (if using), lemon juice, and gelatin to a saucepan. Simmer on low for 5-10 minutes until the fruit is soft and the gelatin is fully dissolved. Blend until completely smooth. Spread the mixture thinly (about ¼ inch) onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at your oven's lowest temperature (140-170°F/ 60-75°C) for 4-6 hours, or until no longer sticky. Cut into strips with the parchment attached and roll them up. Toddler

When did something so natural become so controversial? 🤔 With both my kids, I’ve been asked “when are you going to stop?” Immediately after they turned one more times than I can count. The truth is, I don’t have a planned date. It’s not something I schedule into the cal dear like an expiry date. I will listen to mine and Oakley’s body and most likely wean him off naturally when the time feels right. The World Health Organization actually recommends continued breastfeeding for 2 years or older and yet society discourages after a year. Extended breastfeeding has so many benefits for both mama and child. I want to keep encouraging others not to feel shamed or embarrassed for something that is so beautiful and such a short season of life. Happy World Breastfeeding Week 🍈🍈🥛🤱🏼

When my 4-year-old asks for chocolate milk… this is what I make 🥛🍫 A healthier version that tastes way better than store-bought (and no weird additives 👏). ✨ Save this one for your kiddos (or yourself 😉) Homemade Chocolate Milk Recipe 2 cups milk (any kind but I like A2 dairy milk) 2 tsp cocoa powder (unsweetened) 1 Tbsp maple syrup Pinch of sea salt ½ tsp vanilla 1 scoop unflavoured collagen powder (optional, but makes it extra nourishing ✨) 👉 Just whisk or blend everything until smooth and frothy. Enjoy! 💕 . . . #HealthyKidsSnacks #HomemadeChocolateMilk #ToddlerMealIdeas #PickyEaterTips #BackToSchoolSnacks
