I had no idea I would happen upon such an unsettlingly premonitory short story by Roald Dahl the day I read this collection. The first five stories did make me grimace a bit, but ultimately they gave me a good chuckle because they were so satirical and ludicrous. The last one maintains that same exaggeration and cheeky tone… and yet it’s eerily a near exact reflection of our reality today?
