“Pluviophile: a person who enjoys rain and rainy days, and who is fascinated by the sights, sounds, etc., of rain.” 🌧️ Sunny weather is okay, but there’s just something about rainy days that fills my soul. 🌧️ Even overcast/gloomy days make me happier than sunny ones! It’s like everything has a filter to make things softer—there’s less bright light, constant white noise, and even the smell is amazing…it all helps you to slow down and enjoy the little things. 🥰 Thankful to have found so many others who love the rain like I do here! 🥲🌧️ Anyone have some really good storms recently?! #pluviophile #rainydays☔️ #rainyweather #rainymood #cozyliving cozy home, cozy home shots, rainy day vibes, rainy aesthetic, gloomy weather, moody weather, spring aesthetic, summer mood

Who’s ready to escape the heat and go falloween shopping in the air conditioning at @AtHomeStores?! 🛒✨🍂🎃 #AtHomePartner The heat index here has been over 100 degrees for far too long, so it was the perfect time to head to my local At Home store and peruse the aisles of Halloween and fall decor! 🍂 I found SO many goodies and had a very happy shopping cart (one of the employees even told me that she and her coworker thought I must be fun because my cart looked fun hehe 🛒🎃🍁). I can’t wait to decorate my home with the finds, which I’ll be sharing with you soon too. 👀 What would have come home with you?! I’m most excited about my new fall leaf garlands, pumpkin wax warmer, and fall leaf pillows! 🍁 #summerween #falloween #fallismyfavorite #fallshopping halloween shopping, Halloween is everyday, Halloween is cool, Halloween girl, fall girl, shopping trip, fall home decor, Halloween home decor

Is it really too much to ask for? 🤷🏻‍♀️⛈️📖☕️ We have a predicted high temperature of 75 degrees today (which is wilddddd) but it has me feeling SO ready for spring and more importantly, spring thunderstorms! I’d like my morning coffee with a side of PNW mountains, pretty blooms, & a rushing river please. 😌🌸☕️ The view from our @stay.pnw Timber Creek Retreat stay was absolutely incredible! Waking up to this each morning definitely didn’t get old, and we loved how it changed each day too—some mornings you couldn’t even see the mountains, others had the clouds nestled into the tops, and other times there was just blue sky above. ✨ I loved the constant white noise of the river from inside and outside since we kept the back screen door open and many of the windows all day too. 😍 What’s your ideal way to have your morning coffee? Sky’s the limit! 😉☕️ Hosted/PR stay 🧡 #pnwisbeautiful #pnwisbest #morningcoffee☕️ #coffeewithaview #cozyliving slow living, slow lifestyle, discover Washington, natural Washington, visit Washington, explore Washington, mount baker snoqualmie national forest, index Washington, pnw vibes

I mean, Netflix is cool and all…but you wanna watch the storm roll in instead? 😅⛈️✨ Last week while I had the week off from work, we had some of the most wonderful overcast, gloomy, and rainy weather! This evening was my favorite though since I had spent most of the afternoon reading on the porch and got to watch the day progressively get darker and moodier. ☁️ Around dinner time, the storm clouds started rolling in alongside some distant thunder and lightning and it was SUCH a vibe. I love storms, but there’s just something about watching a sunny day turn stormy and quite literally watching the storm clouds roll in from a distance…oh man, it just hits different. Have you had any good spring storms yet this year?! ⛈️ #cozyvibes #cozyliving #pluviophile #stormiscoming #midwestliving midwest life, stormy weather, Midwest thunderstorm, front porch, covered porch, bookish

You, me, + a spring lightning storm rolling in? ⚡️🧡 I still can’t get over how insaneeeee our recent lightning storms have been! The bolts have split so much and covered the sky, and they’ve lasted hours at a time. One evening I literally sat next to my bedroom window for over an hour and 45 minutes watching the lightning dance across the sky! I set up my phone in the windowsill and was able to catch some incredible lightning bolts so I hope you enjoy these as much as I did. 🥰 They’ve been slowed down to about .3-.5 so you can see them better! What about you? Would you choose the lightning storm over streaming services too?! ⚡️🍿🎥 #lightningbolt #cozyvibes #stormyweather #thunderstorms #lightningstorm

My summer seasonal depression is hitting HARD this week and I’m over here surprised like this doesn’t happen every year around the same time…🙄☀️🥵 I’ve seen more discourse about summer seasonal depression recently (which I’m so glad it’s being talked about more!!!), but with it has come a lot of…well, misunderstanding. I’m seeing a lot of “oh yeah I hate summer and love fall so I have summer depression” and I am NOT here to tell anyone that’s not true, however, let’s also make sure we don’t trivialize the term (making something already rare/unusual seem less real) by acting like that’s the only symptom. “Summer seasonal depression” or “reverse seasonal depression” can look like: -feeling fatigued and drained due to the heat -insomnia due to the longer sunlight hours messing with your circadian rhythm (a nice double whammy when you also have adhd that pushes your circadian rhythm by about 90 minutes later than the norm) -overstimulation due to bright sunshine, constant loud noises of birds & bugs, etc. -social isolation due to the pressure to constantly be doing activities but disinterest in doing any of them (even the things you love) or due to physical appearance concerns -lack of appetite and unintentional weight loss -mood fluctuations like increased irritability or anxiety -changes in regular schedule causing stress Once again, I’m not saying everyone who says “I have that too!” doesn’t, in fact, have it. I just want to make sure it’s talked about as a real diagnoses that has some very real symptoms…and not just a social media trend. 😅 Anyone relate?! My worst symptoms are the lack of appetite, insomnia, and fatigue/disinterest. 🫩 I can’t wait for the cooler weather of late October to arrive. 🥲🍁 #fallismyfavorite #fallgirl #fallvibes #fallaesthetic #autumnvibes autumn aesthetic, autumn colors, fall foliage, leaf peeping, summer sucks, summer hater

Happy @hocuspocusdisney day! 🎃🍁🧙🏼‍♀️🐈‍⬛ 33 years ago on this day, Hocus Pocus came out and became an absolute classic for spooky season! Sometimes I forget that this movie is actually a little bit older than I am, but I grew up watching it every year. It’s definitely one of the films I connect with my childhood a LOT, alongside many other Disney films. ✨ Did you grow up watching Hocus Pocus?! My husband had never seen it until I, of course, introduced him a while back hehe! 🎃 #hocuspocus #cozyvibes #cozyliving #cozyathome #cozyhomedecor halloween is everyday, fall is my favorite, spooky szn, fall movie night, autumn aesthetic, fall vibes, fall girl, autumn vibes

Over the last week we had two very short (5-10 minutes) but sweet rain showers and I was sooooo thankful for them! 🌧️ I’m craving one of those all-day thunderstorms though, where I can spend the entire day on the porch smelling the fresh air and listening to the sounds of the rain, thunder, and breeze. 🥲⛈️ Has it been a very rainy summer where you live? It hasn’t felt that way to me, but I just found out we are actually above average on our rainfall totals for this year, but I think most of it came from our very rainy spring. 🤔 #cozyvibes #rainyweather #pluviophile #stormyweather #rainsounds soothing sounds, relaxing sounds, petrichor, rainy days, covered porch, tea time, cozy living, slow living, cozy lifestyle, slow living for life, cozy summer aesthetic, gloomy summer days

I don’t know what happened, but I have a new media-related obsession/hyperfixation for the first time in a while…and, honestly, I’m okay with it. 🤪 We finally went to see @projecthailmary last week and it was SO good! I’ve never been much into sci-fi, but my husband is and told me I needed to read Project Hail Mary since the movie was coming out. I put it off for a while, but reluctantly started reading it shortly before the movie released and ended up devouring that book! As soon as I finished it I was DYING to get to the theater, so we headed there the first chance we could. 🎦🍿 In my opinion, it was one of the best book to movie adaptions I’ve seen in a long time. Though they did slightly change or leave out some parts that I didn’t fully agree with, it was quite perfect as a standalone film and I think that’s more important than sticking perfectly to the book in some ways, because not everyone is going to read the book either (though I 100% recommend it!) It was a little less science-y and a bit funnier than the book, but that makes sense for the screen too. If you haven’t seen it yet & haven’t watched the trailer, I also totally reccommend going in blind because the trailers do spoil stuff that I think is WAY more fun to be surprised by! Have you seen any movies recently (old or new!) that you absolutely loved?! I’m always looking for movies to add to my watch list! ✨ #cozyvibes #movietheater #cinema #movienight #movietime keep the cinema alive, going to the movies, date night idea, solo date idea, grab the popcorn

I finally watched Friday the 13th and Scream for the first time, so I think I’m allowed to participate in this trend now. 😌🔪🎃🤪 Last week we had a family lake trip to Arkansas and it was gloomy basically the entire week we were there, but it totally gave off slasher summer vibes! Beaver Lake is super clear and my husband had brought his waterproof action camera, so I asked him if he could try and grab the underwater swimming shot of me that’s in so many scary movies/shows and after a bunch of tries, we finally got one and it makes me so happy. 😂 I’ve been on a classic slasher film kick, although I’m still a scaredy cat and Scream did give me nightmares. 🤪 I’m spacing them out, but I think I’m going to try for Halloween next. 👀 Any other older scary movies you’d suggest I try?! The 4 coziest months of the year are almost here! 🍂🎃🍁🎄☃️❄️ September, October, November, & December are SO cozy and I hope they go by oh so slowly. 🥲 Fall and winter have my heart, so I am beyond ecstatic that they’re so close! It won’t fully cool down here until mid-late October, but during the peak summer months the heat is oppressive at all hours of the day. However, starting in September, our mornings and evenings typically start to cool off and it means I can actually spend some time on the porch again. 🥲 I also feel like there’s a huge shift towards fall in September, even if the weather isn’t fully there yet. In-season produce is changing at the farmer’s market, school is back in session, football season has started, sunflower fields are blooming, campfire nights can be enjoyed, apple picking begins…all the early fall feels! 🍂 Which ‘ber month is your favorite?! I used to be an October girlie, but November has really been a sweet month for me the last couple of years. 🧡 #bermonths #falliscoming #wintervibes #cozyvibesonly #cozyliving cozy life, fall vibes, fall aesthetic, fall is my favorite, fall girl, autumn colors, fall foliage, winter aesthetic, hygge, comfort creator

Happy Friday, friends! 🧡✨ I hope you have a lovely weekend full of all things cozy, peaceful, and fulfilling! 🫶🏻 Sending you off into the weekend with some cozy rainy, bookish, tea, & fall vibes to get the ball rolling. 😉 I’m currently in my favorite state (Washington! 🌲🌧️) and spending some time in Seattle over the weekend before heading to the mountains for the rest of my trip! Do you have any weekend plans you’re looking forward to?! #cozyliving #cozylife #fallvibes #autumnalcolours #autumnalvibes autumn aesthetic, fall colors, fall foliage, rainy weather, pluviophile, cozygram
Simple changes that can make a big difference in feeling like you’re actually living life instead of scrolling your way through it. 😅 Sometimes I wish we could go back in time, but there are so many ways to bring the simpler vibes of the 90’s and early 2000’s into 2026 too! ✨ These are just some of the habits I’ve picked up, either a while ago or more recently! I know a lot of this is “trendy” now, but for good reason imo. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We’re just so tired of this current culture and want to slow down and go back to simpler times. 🥲 Are there any ways you bring nostalgia or simpler vibes into your life?! #nostalgiacore #90svibes #y2k #early2000s #cozyliving slow living for life, slow lifestyle, slow life, cozy lifestyle, cozy home shots, cozy aesthetic, stop the scroll, kitchen crt tv, physical media collection

Does anyone else just immediately relate faux ivy with the 90’s/early 2000’s? 🍃✨ I know it was most popular in the 90’s, but I relate it to the early 2000’s a bit more for some reason (maybe decor trends were a bit delayed here?! I know fashion trends tend to lag behind here vs. the coasts, so it wouldn’t surprise me!) 😅 Decorating my kitchen CRT TV for fall and winter was easy mode, but I was struggling to figure out how to decorate it for spring and summer! After getting some faux autumn ivy for our bedroom and TV room, it hit me that green ivy would be so perfect for the kitchen TV vibe! I’d love to add some thin string lights to it too for extra whimsy, but the ivy added soooo much already! 🍃 I introduced Jacob to 13 Going on 30 a few nights ago (he loved it 😌) so it felt like the perfect time to finally get the setup updated! #kitchentv #cozyvibes #cozyliving #cozyathome #cozyhomedecor crt tv, nostalgia, 2000’s, 1990’s, y2k, nostalgic home decor, romcom vibes

Only 14 more Fridays until the world starts getting super colorful, the days finally get shorter and less overstimulating, and we can breathe crisp air outside again without getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. 🤪✨🍂🥲 Until then, I’ll be doing my best to still romanticize summer…but you miiiiight still catch me daydreaming about fall at least every other moment. 😅 October has been quite warm the last few years here in Kansas and the foliage doesn’t start to change until late in the month/into November even, so we’ve been traveling north the past few years to stretch out the season! Last year we visited Michigan for the first time in autumn and holy wowza…it was insane. 😍🍂🍁 But my other favorites have been Upstate New York and New Hampshire! Have you traveled anywhere in the fall before to catch the season elsewhere?! It’s become one of my favorite traditions! Not sure where we’re going to go this year yet though…open to suggestions! 🍂 #fallvibes #autumnvibes #fallaesthetic #autumnaesthetic #octobervibes cozy living, cozy aesthetic, cozy home decor shots, slow living, fall is my favorite, fall girl, autumn colors, fall foliage

The final @strangerthingstv adventure is over and it’s so bittersweet. 🥲👾 As someone who doesn’t typically do horror movies or shows, I still remember when Jacob was like “hey so there’s this show I started watching recently and I think you could handle it”. I didn’t believe him at first tbh (I really don’t do well with scary 😅), but he said it was so good that I said I’d try…and I got HOOKED. The cinematography, the editing, the vibes, the storyline…everything was just so enthralling that even though it literally caused me to have nightmares from time to time, I kept watching. 😂 …and now, 9 years later, I can’t believe it’s over. 😭 Have you watched the Stranger Things finale yet?! 👾 #strangerthings #nostalgiacore #nostalgic #cozyliving #cozyvibes
