This year was the best year of my life until it very quickly was not. So so so so so many highs and then suddenly the loss of two of the things I love the most. Saying bye to our dog and getting let go from my dream job was not the way I saw this year ending. I took a little while to feel really sorry for myself, but I don’t think it would be fair to be only sad after all of the good that happened this year, too. The happy deserves to be sat with as much as the sad does, even more so if you ask me.
I hope the good outweighed the bad for you this year, and even if it didn’t, take a moment to sit with the good parts. It helps, I promise.

I’m not usually nervous to post but for some reason this makes me nervous. I usually try and find a positive spin for the end of these and because this is an uphill battle I haven’t really found it yet about this, but I hope I do soon.
