Decluttered the second part of Anna’s closet! It feels so good to make my way through her closet! I’m breaking it down into sections so it’s not too overwhelming. Decluttering hasn’t stopped since our move! If anything, I want to declutter even more since our move. Moving made me realize we still have so much that we just don’t need in this season of life. I really want to do as much decluttering before the baby comes too! I feel so much more at peace when we have less stuff in our home. I’ve been needing to declutter some of the girls’ clothes that no longer fit or aren’t in good shape anymore. But now they are sharing a room and a closet, I want to be sure we are as organized as possible. The mess that was sitting on the floor started as a pile of things I needed to finish unpacking since we moved in, but the girls happily kept adding to the pile 😂 They were just grabbing things that were hung up and tossing them in the pile so it grew out of control so quickly. Being able to actually see their floor now feels so good! And we’re working on the girls not just throwing clothes on the floor again- but honestly, I struggle with that in my closet too so maybe it’s just part of being a girl 😂 I love the girls’ closet so much. Decluttering hasn’t stopped since our move! If anything, I want to declutter even more since our move. Moving made me realize we still have so much that we just don’t need in this season of life. I really want to do as much decluttering before the baby comes too! I feel so much more at peace when we have less stuff in our home. I used to attempt an entire room at once and I would never actually make progress because by the time everything was pulled out, I would be so overwhelmed that I would end up just putting it all back. After a great first year of homeschooling and tons of arts and crafts, this cabinet really needed some attention before summer. My plan was to declutter and take out anything that isn’t in good shape and things we aren’t currently using and make note of some things that I need to restock. This sweet little corner of our upstairs loft area makes me so happy 🥰 My desk used to be in our bedroom at our old house so having even just this small corner to work at is a dream! Right before we left on our trip to Florida, both of my girls had switched shoe sizes. I also hadn’t transitioned between winter shoes to summer shoes so I literally had this closet stuffed with shoes and never went through to get rid of the ones we no longer needed. So I had old sizes, winter and summer shoes, and new shoes I bought before our trip here, not to mention way too many of my shoes that I normally keep upstairs in my closet. And once we got back from our trip, instead of taking care of the closet first, I just dumped all of the shoes in here 🫣 We’ve literally just been surviving with this mess so today I finally took care of it! Once I got through all of the sizes we no longer needed and organized all of the shoes into pairs, it was so easy to get it put away properly in our shoe organizer! I love this shoe organizer that we have in this closet. It’s the perfect size and holds so many shoes!
