Decluttered the second part of Anna’s closet! It feels so good to make my way through her closet! I’m breaking it down into sections so it’s not too overwhelming. I knew my goal was to move her dresses down so she can reach them. She loves getting dressed on her own and most of her clothes are in her dresser but I like keeping her dresses hung up. Decluttering hasn’t stopped since our move! If anything, I want to declutter even more since our move. Moving made me realize we still have so much that we just don’t need in this season of life. I really want to do as much decluttering before the baby comes too! I feel so much more at peace when we have less stuff in our home. I’ve been needing to declutter some of the girls’ clothes that no longer fit or aren’t in good shape anymore. But now they are sharing a room and a closet, I want to be sure we are as organized as possible. The mess that was sitting on the floor started as a pile of things I needed to finish unpacking since we moved in, but the girls happily kept adding to the pile 😂 They were just grabbing things that were hung up and tossing them in the pile so it grew out of control so quickly. Being able to actually see their floor now feels so good! And we’re working on the girls not just throwing clothes on the floor again- but honestly, I struggle with that in my closet too so maybe it’s just part of being a girl 😂 I love the girls’ closet so much. Decluttering hasn’t stopped since our move! If anything, I want to declutter even more since our move. Moving made me realize we still have so much that we just don’t need in this season of life. I really want to do as much decluttering before the baby comes too! I feel so much more at peace when we have less stuff in our home. I’ve been needing to declutter some of the girls’ clothes that no longer fit or aren’t in good shape anymore. I used to attempt an entire room at once and I would never actually make progress because by the time everything was pulled out, I would be so overwhelmed that I would end up just putting it all back. After a great first year of homeschooling and tons of arts and crafts, this cabinet really needed some attention before summer. My plan was to declutter and take out anything that isn’t in good shape and things we aren’t currently using and make note of some things that I need to restock. This sweet little corner of our upstairs loft area makes me so happy 🥰 My desk used to be in our bedroom at our old house so having even just this small corner to work at is a dream! And once we got back from our trip, instead of taking care of the closet first, I just dumped all of the shoes in here 🫣 We’ve literally just been surviving with this mess so today I finally took care of it! Once I got through all of the sizes we no longer needed and organized all of the shoes into pairs, it was so easy to get it put away properly in our shoe organizer! I love this shoe organizer that we have in this closet. It’s the perfect size and holds so many shoes! A little more progress in decluttering and organizing the baby’s room. I’m behind on sharing videos- this was actually from last week but it’s so nice making some more progress in his nursery. I promise that these drawer organizers are the best thing to use to keep kid’s dresser drawers organized and easy to find things! #decluttering #nurseryorganization #organizewithme
Homemade granola is even better than storebought and so much cheaper too! Here’s the recipe: Ingredients: 5 Tbs melted butter 5 Tbs honey 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 cup brown sugar 3 1/2 cup quick oats 1/2 Tbs Cinnamon Directions: 1. Melt butter in a microwave safe dish. Add the honey and microwave an additional 30 seconds. 2. Stir in brown sugar and vanilla and mix until incorporated then add in oats and cinnamon and stir to evenly coat. 3. Spread oat mixture in an even layer on a lined sheet pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes total, stirring with a spatula after 6 minutes. 4. Allow to cool completely on the baking sheet and mix in your dried fruit if desired. #granola #granolarecipe #homemadegranola #homemade #homemaderecipe #momtips #momtipsandtricks #momlife
