Gilgit-Baltistan 🇵🇰 home to Hunza & Skardu lies within the larger Kashmir region, a territory that has been politically disputed between Pakistan and India since 1947. But when you’re standing beneath those mountains, none of that noise reaches you. 🏔️

The glaciers don’t recognize borders. The valleys don’t care about politics. The people welcome you like family. 🤍

A land debated on maps… but completely undeniable in beauty. ✨

One of the most beautiful places we’ve ever seen….
Some of the most beautiful places on earth
also carry the most complicated history.

Baltistan Highway winds through the heart of Gilgit-Baltistan — beside roaring rivers and towering mountains that feel almost untouched.

But this region sits within a disputed territory between India and Pakistan, shaped by decades of politics and history.

Standing here though…
none of that noise feels real.

Just mountains.
Wild rivers.
And the quiet power of the north.

🇵🇰

Not the headlines.
Not the stereotypes.
Not the version most people think they know.

One of the world's longest and most disputed borders lies between India and Pakistan. For decades, political tensions and conflict have shaped how many people view this region. But after traveling through Pakistan ourselves, we discovered something very different from what we often see in the headlines.
Beyond the border disputes and media narratives, we found breathtaking mountains, incredible hospitality, rich culture, and some of the most beautiful landscapes we've ever experienced. Sometimes the places we're told the least about have the most to teach us.
Pakistan wasn't what the news told us it would beit was so much more.

Skip the crowds and do this hike instead 🏔️

Little Beehive is one of the best viewpoints in Banff National Park. The trail is moderate, around 4.5 km round trip from Lake Louise, and rewards you with stunning views over the lake and surrounding peaks.

Trust us—it’s worth every step. 💙

They’ve argued over this land for decades.

But standing here… all we felt was silence.

This is one of the most disputed regions in the world, yet it holds some of the most peaceful landscapes we’ve ever experienced.

Skardu. Hunza.
Mountains that shift your perspective the moment you see them in real life.

Very few people will ever make it this far, and we don’t take that lightly.

This place changed how we see Pakistan.

Maybe the most beautiful part of our relationship is realizing that we’re not just growing together… we’re healing the younger versions of each other too. 🥺❤️

Giving each other the love, safety, patience and experiences our inner children always deserved.

Sometimes it really feels like we’re just two kids finally getting to live the life we used to dream about. 🥹🌎

We truly believe 🇵🇰✨ that Pakistan has the potential to become one of the number one destinations in the world and we don’t say that lightly.

The landscapes in Hunza and Skardu are unreal 🏔️ Turquoise lakes, dramatic valleys, some of the highest peaks on earth, and you’re not battling crowds to experience them. It still feels raw. Untouched. Powerful.

But beyond the views, it’s the hospitality and culture that leave the deepest impact 🤍 The warmth of the people, the history, the depth of connection, that’s what makes it unforgettable.

Is the infrastructure perfect? No.
Is tourism fully developed yet? Not even close.

But that’s exactly why the opportunity is massive. With the right investment, organization, and global exposure, Pakistan won’t just be underrated… it could stand beside the most iconic adventure destinations in the world 🌍

Let us know if you agree? 🔥 follow @rayandramisa for epic travel content.

We honestly don’t understand why people call Pakistan “dangerous.”
After exploring so many countries, Pakistan’s kindness truly stands out. ❤️

Everywhere we went, people went above and beyond—offering free rides, food, tea, and even places to stay. The generosity here has no limits. Sometimes we’d try to refuse because we knew people were offering from the little they had, but their kindness was so genuine it was impossible to say no.

We told our families that Pakistanis aren’t just kind… they’re aggressively kind 😂

What’s often labeled as “dangerous” has only ever felt safe, welcoming, and full of heart.
Pakistan reminded us that true hospitality isn’t about what people have it’s about how deeply they want to give. 💚🇵🇰

They call this the second most dangerous road in the world.

It’s a 2 hour jeep ride on a narrow dirt track with no guardrails, just to reach the starting point of the hike to Fairy Meadows.

Online it looks terrifying.

In real life? It felt intense, yes. But also controlled. The drivers do this every single day. What looks chaotic on a screen feels very different when you’re actually there.

And then you reach the hike.
And then you see Nanga Parbat.
And everything you thought you knew about this place shifts.

Lesson 3 of 21 Lessons in Pakistan:
Stop forming opinions about places you’ve never experienced. The internet shows extremes. Real life shows truth.

Some places aren’t dangerous.
They’re just misunderstood.

Would you do this 2 hour jeep ride? 👇

We surround ourselves with people who are real.

People with integrity.
People who stand on their values even when no one is watching.

If someone cheats on their partner, that already tells us everything we need to know about their character.

Because if you can lie to the person you claim to love the most, what makes anyone else think they’re different?

Too many people normalize cheating, laugh about it, or cover for their friends.

We don’t.

Respect, loyalty, and honesty aren’t optional in our circle.
