A couple quick test hits the day before. Then straight into the fire. 🔥🏁 This weekend at Roadkill Nights, we teamed up with the engineers at Ram, Cummins, and tuning legend Kory Willis to fine-tune this factory-backed Ram 3500 Mega Cab Dually drag truck…basically starting from scratch. The mission? Run as fast as possible in full stock configuration, emissions intact, no upgraded hard parts, no turbos…just pure factory hardware and some precision calibration. We ran 2WD all weekend (no time to source matching drag slicks for the big Ram brakes), and every pass got faster. We wrapped the day with a 7.4 in the 1/8 mile… without breaking a sweat which I know isn’t breaking records by any means but is incredibly impressive for an 8000 lb stock truck with pretty much zero time to fine tune. We believe once we get the 4x4 setup dialed in, we can shave at least half a second, right down to a flat 7, still on all-stock components. The truck never had to regen once, even after 6–7 passes. It ran super clean, proving how insanely efficient these new Cummins engines are. And the new 8-speed ZF transmission? Absolute game changer, quick, crisp shifts that put every bit of power to the ground. This is just the beginning of our factory racing journey. More upgrades including turbos, more fuel, etc are coming, and so is more speed.
