Superfast stablemates: Take a side-by-side look at the similarities between the race-ready Ford Mustang® GT3 and street-legal Mustang GTD. In image one, the C-pillar-mounted rear wing was an innovation for the GTD but was so visually striking that, once proven that it wouldn't have a negative impact on aero, it was implemented onto the GT3. In image two, the GTD’s fender vents have a larger open area than the GT3, allowing them to vent out more positive pressure and perform better. This is due to the restrictive race rules GT3 engineers have to adhere to. In image three, the quarter panel duct inlet brings the two closer together visually, as well as helping to manage the GTD’s cabin pressure and rear tire cooling.
