I took my mother to JAPAN. Feel unbelievably lucky to get to spend this time with my mum. We realised this is probably the first Mother’s Day we’ve been together for 15 years. Happy Mother’s Day to the best mum ever. Sending lots of love out to those who are having a really difficult day today. ❤️❤️

Some of the cool people I met on my first day in Afghanistan. Threw myself into the deep end in Afghanistan maybe a little too hard! There were several moments of intense anxiety and thoughts of “what the fuck am I doing here” followed by immediately feelings of calm and relief.
