If you have ever wondered what being an astronaut or a 19th century diver feels like this excursion is for you. They put this dive helmet on you and then fill it with pressurized air as they lower you into the water so you can breath normally. Because the helmet is air filled its kind of floaty so you end up being lighter and able to jump around like its space. I know it looks funny but the views were amazing! Bora Bora’s water is so clear its incredible. We booked this excursion with @WindstarCruises and if you have never scuba dived this is a great way to see what your missing! check out that rays!!! 🐟💙 All of this was shot with the @insta360 and it is our go to under water camera! The clarity is amazing and we love that it has an invisible selfie stick! #AquaSafari #borabora #snorkel #underwater

Save this bucket list hotel and follow @megsandpat for more unique travel experiences and itineraries! There are certain activities on your travels that you will remember forever. Waking up in a bamboo hut surrounded by happy elephants is definitely one of them 🐘 We were really hesitant about visiting an elephant sanctuary as we didn’t want to support something bad for the animals or that had a zoo feel. We did a lot of research and Chai Lai Orchid was the complete opposite. The animals just genuinely seemed like they were having such a good time. There was even some babies born on site that were super attached to the guides and played around, it was so cute. This place takes the majority of their profits and reinvests in the local community. They have a strong focus on educating and employing girls as well as providing for refugees from Myanmar. Some of the elephants were rescued from circuses in Thailand, unethical “sanctuaries”, poaching and zoos. Ideally we shouldn’t need animal sanctuaries but in the real world, this is about as good as it gets. There are barely any wild elephants left in Thailand and it is so nice to know that the ones that were abused in the past have safe places to go too. Elephant sanctuary checklist ➡️ -All the elephants are rescued and they can’t be wild or released -No riding -No misstreatment (guides don’t carry sticks or whips) -No chains ( look for chain marks on ankles) -No uninvited touching or posing -Large enclosures to keep them safe at night

Save this epic Switzerland roadtrip itinerary! The last was place was the highest on my bucket list! Switzerland has been on my bucket list forever and I am so happy that we got to do this trip last fall! Although the weather was not perfect for our trip, it was still amazing. It just means I have to go back! Here was our roadtrip itinerary!! Lavertezzo The romantic village of Lavertezzo is one of the cutest old towns I have ever been! With its characteristic stone buildings it is a good starting point for exploring the rural and unspoilt Valle Verzasca and its branch valleys that were built around the 1300s. The old double-arched stone bridge over the Verzasca River was one of the most beautiful spots in the area. You could use about 2-3 days in this area, as there are several cute towns similar to this one in the Ticino area. Appenzell Appenzell is a picturesque town with colorful gabled buildings with delicious bakeries, rolling green hills and 100s of cows. There are little cheese farms everywhere and it has some of the best hiking in the country. We did Schafler Ridge and Saxer Lucke. Grindelwald Grindelwald can be found in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, in the Jungfrau region. It is a charming example of a Swiss ski resort but in summer it is also a hiker’s paradise. There are cute little bakeries, chocolate shops, and restaurants that I loved in this town. We used Grindelwald as our base for this area and we loved it! Lauterbrunnen Lauterbrunnen is at the center of a valley that is famous for its majestic jagged vertical cliffs, gigantic rock faces and amazing views of the snow capped mountain peaks of the Jungfrau region. There is a crazy waterfall right outside of this traditional town that makes this a picture perfect destination. You do not need a lot of time in Lauterbrunnen, but atleast give yourself half a day to explore. Zermatt This is probably the most iconic place in all of Switzerland! Zermatt was crazy beautiful. Make sure to stay in a place with views of the Matterhorn!

If you’re visiting in June or July, follow the river towards the fields of purple lupins for that dreamy Icelandic shot. 🌈 Seljalandsfoss One of the few waterfalls you can actually walk behind! It’s a short and easy path, just be ready to get a little misted. Come at sunset for the warm glow through the water. 🏞️ Valley of Tears A hidden gem of multiple waterfalls tucked between mossy mountains and towering cliffs. The drive in alone feels like a scene from another planet 🖤 Diamond Beach Where black sand meets glittering ice. The chunks of glacier wash up on shore, sparkling like diamonds under the light. You can walk straight from the parking lot. 🌋 Víti Crater (Askja or Krafla) An otherworldly geothermal crater filled with milky blue water. It’s a quick stop from the parking area and is one of the most beautiful craters in Iceland

The @fairmontjpl was one of the most beautiful resorts we have ever stayed at. Think lakeside cabins, golf, morning yoga with a view, canoe trips, bike rides, picnics worldclass spa treatments, and the best food! The Lodge is a wellness retreat in itself and the perfect place to base yourself in Jasper! THINGS TO DO 🛁 Miette Hot Springs
Right at the base of Sulphur Skyline, these hot springs are the perfect way to end a hike or have as the destination. ⛴️ Maligne Lake Cruise
This peaceful cruise takes you to Spirit Island, one of the most serene, photogenic places on earth. @pursuitbanffjasper SkyTram Experience
This is a unique gondola experience with views over Jasper! 🛣️ Icefields Parkway
Jasper is the start of the Icefields Parkway which is one of the most beautiful highways in the world. It is 232km straight to Lake Louise. 🌊 Sunwapta + Athabasca Falls
Both of these falls are on the Jasper side of the Icefields Parkway and they are gorgeous. They are only a short walk from the parking lot. 🏠 Jasper Town This is a really cute Canadian mountain town with lots of good shopping, cafes and restaurants! BEST HIKES 🌸 Sulphur Skyline
The summit views are epic from here and the drive there is just as beautiful. This is a 8km, 700m hike so give your self at least 3-4 hours! 🥾 Bald Hills
With views over Maligne Canyon, this hike was incredible. This hike is 14km with 800m elevation gain, so a good 4-6 hours. 🌿 Berg Lake Trail This is actually in Mount Robson Park, but it is only a 45 minute drive from Jasper. It is a 42km hike of insane beauty! 📍Tag someone you’d escape here with 💚 #jasperparklodge #fairmontjpl #fairmontjasper @tourismjasper

Save this epic Switzerland roadtrip itinerary! The last was place was the highest on my bucket list! Switzerland has been on my bucket list forever and I am so happy that we got to do this trip last fall! Although the weather was not perfect for our trip, it was still amazing. It just means I have to go back! Here was our roadtrip itinerary!! Lavertezzo The romantic village of Lavertezzo is one of the cutest old towns I have ever been! With its characteristic stone buildings it is a good starting point for exploring the rural and unspoilt Valle Verzasca and its branch valleys that were built around the 1300s. The old double-arched stone bridge over the Verzasca River was one of the most beautiful spots in the area. You could use about 2-3 days in this area, as there are several cute towns similar to this one in the Ticino area. Appenzell Appenzell is a picturesque town with colorful gabled buildings with delicious bakeries, rolling green hills and 100s of cows. There are little cheese farms everywhere and it has some of the best hiking in the country. We did Schafler Ridge and Saxer Lucke. Grindelwald Grindelwald can be found in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, in the Jungfrau region. It is a charming example of a Swiss ski resort but in summer it is also a hiker’s paradise. There are cute little bakeries, chocolate shops, and restaurants that I loved in this town. We used Grindelwald as our base for this area and we loved it! Lauterbrunnen Lauterbrunnen is at the center of a valley that is famous for its majestic jagged vertical cliffs, gigantic rock faces and amazing views of the snow capped mountain peaks of the Jungfrau region. There is a crazy waterfall right outside of this traditional town that makes this a picture perfect destination. You do not need a lot of time in Lauterbrunnen, but atleast give yourself half a day to explore. Zermatt This is probably the most iconic place in all of Switzerland! Zermatt was crazy beautiful. Make sure to stay in a place with views of the Matterhorn!
