I LOVE MY NEW HOME 🥹🤍 I had no idea what to expect when I say yes to san fran but she’s been filled with everything I love and so much more! plentiful parks and bike lanes that remind me of montréal weekend hikes that remind me of childhood in vancouver & little discoveries from foraging workshops to friendships that pop up like spring tulips I can’t wait to see what the new year brings as I sort out my visa stuffs and spend more time in the bay!

finally took the boy to the motherland (after 2 failed visa application attempts and 1 stern phone call to the embassy!) Hangzhou is the city my mom was born in and the region where my grandpa is from so it was extra special bringing him there🤍 It’s filled with nature despite being a super modern city! West lake is right in the center with green tea fields around it and one of China’s oldest Buddhist temples (which means LOTS of yummy veggie spots around the city!) It was also many Emperor’s favourite city which is why there are crazy builds like a giant vegetable patch in a YinYang☯️ (bagua shape) It’s honestly one of the my favourite cities in the world, I hope all my friends can back with my to visit one day 🌏 thank you @k_mao for coming with us and taking these cute pics :) more China photos incoming… and a video of my last China trip!

finally took the boy to the motherland (after 2 failed visa application attempts and 1 stern phone call to the embassy!) Hangzhou is the city my mom was born in and the region where my grandpa is from so it was extra special bringing him there🤍 It’s filled with nature despite being a super modern city! Shadows of a Dream City 《梦城浮影》 - a short-film about the liminal space between starting and becoming. A little surprise drop to conclude Chinese New Year Celebrations🏮Leah 姐姐 and I wrote this short last year shortly after both moving to NYC. We were both figuring the city out and decided to challenge ourselves to express that feeling in Chinese, something that I’ve been wanting to try for a while. get in loser, we’re going apartment hunting!!!🚙 🌊 vlog is up :) we toured 9 apartments in the span of 1 week and found our dream home! A huge reason I said yes to the SF move was because of all the cute old homes in the city. They reminded me so much of my old student house “Toad Lane” that still has my heart today (& many of yours as well as I’ve been told!) spent the last week editing our first ever grown-up trip together and came out feeling even more grateful for this friendship 🥺 I never realized how rare our bond was until I started telling people i was about to go on this trip. so many of them told me they’d lost touch with their childhood friends but somehow our group has survived 19 years, spread across multiple cities, studies & continents, all while living 6 lives that could not look any more different. now that the video is up, I’m finally going through all the photos, so here’s the first dump: Dubrovnik + Lokrum Island :)

August insta dump + new vlog on yt 🤩 ~ feeling accomplished 🙏 booked my 1st mushroom foraging trip after being influenced on my redwoods trip (as seen in vlog) cut in half to check for discolouration (old) or bugs 🐛 this one is noice and fresh! what’s in my bag haul 👛 wetlands canoe tour at RBG wetlands canoe tour GONE WRONG ⛈️ jk it was lk magical and I felt like a true adventurer DRENCHED Beach day w my gorls 💘💘💘 🩵 PINERY PROVINCIAL PARK 🩵 haven’t been back since my high school graduation trip 11 years ago! can’t believe it’s been that long… my bf’s parents made my fav, mejedera, and my bf’s fav, harraa osboa taking my bike into the city cute mailbox in the countryside 🤍 grandma turned 88 end of July 👵🏻 ginormous 丝瓜 idk what the English name is but if u let it grow old it’s the plant that u can make loofas with 🧼 my fav Toronto ice cream shop w my Toronto shorties bingo poster I made for the boy to go on adventures and do his chores (aka BOOK UR DOCTORS APPT pls)

We are obsessed with chestnuts and will be returning next autumn to @switzerland 🌰 especially Castasegna where you can harvest up to 2kg of chestnuts per person per day…. While we were eating breakfast in front of our Castasegna hotel (Das Pöstli), we saw a bus with a Lugano sign and immediately decided to hop on the very next day. Three hours through mountains and along Lake Como, we arrived at their Autumn Festival 🍂 filled with music and tasty treats I’d never seen before! Next Autumn, I want to go back to experience Ascona’s dedicated Chestnut Festival! #chestnutgirls #graubunden #ticino !!! Thank you @kalepipe for joining this spontaneous adventure :’) Everyday with you is so peaceful and fun 🤍🥹
