I LOVE MY NEW HOME 🥹🤍 I had no idea what to expect when I say yes to san fran but she’s been filled with everything I love and so much more! plentiful parks and bike lanes that remind me of montréal weekend hikes that remind me of childhood in vancouver & little discoveries from foraging workshops to friendships that pop up like spring tulips I can’t wait to see what the new year brings as I sort out my visa stuffs and spend more time in the bay!

I LOVE MY NEW HOME 🥹🤍 I had no idea what to expect when I say yes to san fran but she’s been filled with everything I love and so much more! plentiful parks and bike lanes that remind me of montréal weekend hikes that remind me of childhood in vancouver & little discoveries from foraging workshops to friendships that pop up like spring tulips I can’t wait to see what the new year brings as I sort out my visa stuffs and spend more time in the bay!
unknowingly my last week in nyc T^T so many friends I didn’t get to properly say goodbye to but I guess that just means see you soon 🥺 although my time here was brief (a couple months in the fall, a couple in the spring, and a few weeks framing summer…) I met so many precious souls that welcomed me into the city with wide open arms!! (nyc is truly a hub of endless connection~ ) but at the same time, I’m excited to move to a quieter city… I’ve always loved being a place for friends to land when they want to slow down so it’ll be a good excuse to host the nyc pals :) lots of big life changes coming soooooooon can u guess where we’re moving? - leah p.s. on my last day I finally went into the neighbourhood ice cream shop I pass on ALL my walks & that popsicle did not disappoint 😌

Shadows of a Dream City 《梦城浮影》 - a short-film about the liminal space between starting and becoming. A little surprise drop to conclude Chinese New Year Celebrations🏮Leah 姐姐 and I wrote this short last year shortly after both moving to NYC. We were both figuring the city out and decided to challenge ourselves to express that feeling in Chinese, something that I’ve been wanting to try for a while. The project has actually been done for almost a year now, and we finally found a time to drop it. Check out the full project on our YouTubes! we moved!! it was an extremely spontaneous decision that occurred over 1 weekend but i guess that’s just how geminis roll 🙂‍↕️ tarek has lived in nyc for the past 3 years and I’d been bopping in & out of the hustle bustle, but the only way I could see myself staying longer was if we lived beside prospect park (the only park where u can bury yourself from the sight of buildings) admist apt hunting, we realised what we REALLY wanted most in our lives, was to spend more time in nature: camping, hiking, biking… so over the span of a mid-september weekend, we decided to move to the west coast! I’ve always been apprehensive about sf because of its techy reputation, but after a week here, I can safely say that the city has SO much more to offer than my past bias against it 🙂‍↕️ i feel so happy to be here! it reminds me of my childhood in vancouver in many ways :’) I started crying when I put my face against the rocky cliffs at lands end I can’t wait to see what’s in store and meet all the lovely faces out here in sf 🤍 NEXT STEP: apartment hunting!👀 on the lookout for a charming old home if anyone has any leads

can’t believe it’s been 1 year since we brought this little guy home 🤍🐻‍❄️ …to think I used to be scared of cats 🤣 Odin has brought so much joy into our lives… Even though I didn’t want to get too attached in the beginning (since Tarek technically got him,) Odin is my first cat 🥹 It’s been so magical to witness his growth into a 13lb chungus full of personality!!! Animals really are our soul companions T^T

A huge reason I said yes to the SF move was because of all the cute old homes in the city. NEW HOBBY UNLOCKED 🐠🦀🌊 I signed up for a kelp identification & harvest workshop for my first weekend in SF and unlocked a new rabbit hole to go down! Seaweed is kinda epic…and awesome…and crunchy…??? Apparently you can just nibble them off the rock like a little snack on-the-go??? Well, I’m still alive 1 week later… And I WILL be nibbling again, clean waters provided Sincerely, Kelp Girl & Laver Boy (P.S. Tomorrow we move into our new apartment 🫨🫨🫨)
