🌍 This year I made a promise to myself: explore the world while I still feel strong, curious & young enough to climb the mountains, walk the miles & truly take it all in ❄️ ✨ I took this trip to Iceland 🇮🇸 with my cousin @am_verola & didn’t expect to feel so connected to the story of the land itself. I didn’t realize I was stepping into a geological classroom and left in awe of the powerful forces that continue to shape this island over time 🌋 Fun facts that amazed me: 🦊 No native land mammals - the Arctic fox likely arrived by crossing sea ice. We saw his tiny footprints in the snow. 🌳 The island has hardly any trees. Much of the original birch forest disappeared after settlement due to sheep grazing. 🌋 Volcanoes lie beneath the glaciers and when they erupt, their sediment can reshape the coastlines and extend the land for miles. ✈️ The 2010 eruption beneath Eyjafjallajökull spread ash across Europe and put a stop to flights for one entire week. 💜 Purple lupines covering Iceland’s lava fields were introduced from Alaska in the 1940s to restore soil and reduce erosion. ✨ The Northern Lights appear when solar particles collide with Earth’s atmosphere, painting the sky in moving waves of green and violet. …and I have to say my cousin was brave enough to drive the island - including a four-hour journey from Reykjavík to Vík during a snowstorm when we were suddenly swallowed by a whiteout ❄️ In that moment, you truly respect the power of nature. Here’s to many more amazing memories together 🥂 Thank you to the lovely @theguardsmanhotel for hosting us 🙏 If you are traveling to the UK this is a great spot right near all of the major landmarks like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben & Westminster Abby 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 The rooms are ultra-modern, the staff super accommodating & if you’re going to dine in their on-premise restaurant make sure to have the french toast 🍞 It’s seriously the best I’ve ever had! On the top of our “must see” list was the Lush Spa on Oxford Street {we had awesome massages 💆🏻‍♀️💆🏻‍♀️} and ofc the Harry Potter Tour at Paramount Studios. It was fascinating to see the original sets & learn all of the work that went into making the movies. We totally geeked out over this tour 🤓 I’ve always wanted to ride the London Eye and we had a chance to do that also…but the favorite part of my trip by far was spending time with my daughter. I am so proud of the woman she has become and am excited about what the future has in store for her 💞 #happybirthday #birthdaygirl #motherdaughter #bestfriends #vacation #girlstrip #london

We were taken back by it’s natural beauty & hidden wonders We looooved this place and I just had to share it!!! Fun facts ☝️ Madeira island sits on the top of a dormant volcano 🌋 which explains it’s breathtaking views! The airport is named after Cristiano Ronaldo the famous footbal player who was born there ⚽️ Thank you to Enotel Lido for hosting our stay @enotelhotelsportugal 🙏 This fantastic hotel is centrally located, has a wonderful staff ready to cater to your every need & is all-inclusive with delicious food & drinks at your whim 🤗 We had a spacious ocean front room and enjoyed having a cocktail at the piano bar before dinner every night 🍸 Here’s a little photo dump to get you excited about the possibility of visiting. Have you ever been to New York? 🍎 As many of you know, I grew up & lived in New York up until 4 years ago when I moved to South Florida. While I love the sunshine & palm trees ☀️ 🌴 I’ve definitely been craving some of that NYC energy, culture & cuisine 🍴 So I decided to pack my bags and take a trip❗️✈️🧳 I had SUCH great time 🥳 Saw some old friends and family, walked until I had blisters on my feet and even had a chance to go to the top of the Freedom Tower which I have always wanted to do! I stayed at the @moxylowereastside which is their brand new hotel, complete with a stunning rooftop, an impeccable staff and a super yummy on premise restaurant 😋 I love that it was located close to all the areas I wanted to see, like downtown, Soho, and the village. Have you ever been to New York? 🍎 As many of you know, I grew up & lived in New York up until 4 years ago when I moved to South Florida. While I love the sunshine & palm trees ☀️ 🌴 I’ve definitely been craving some of that NYC energy, culture & cuisine 🍴 So I decided to pack my bags and take a trip❗️✈️🧳 I had SUCH great time 🥳 Saw some old friends and family, walked until I had blisters on my feet and even had a chance to go to the top of the Freedom Tower which I have always wanted to do! I stayed at the @moxylowereastside which is their brand new hotel, complete with a stunning rooftop, an impeccable staff and a super yummy on premise restaurant 😋 I love that it was located close to all the areas I wanted to see, like downtown, Soho, and the village.
