In one session, you’ll get a crash course in at-home espresso: dialing in grind size, spotting over and under-extraction, mastering milk texture, and even trying your hand at latte art. Jonathan made everything approachable and clear (though still tricky in practice) and sent us home with beans and resources to keep practicing. It’s a $15 cocktail, but the extra joy felt worth it. We walked in on a Friday night and ended up having about a 10 minute wait for 2 people on the patio. Coffee 🤝 crochet near Boston This new series of classes at Literally Local in Brookline is ~literally~ made for the all the caffeinated craft lovers in Boston. I had a blast even without much prior crochet experience. Coffee and Crochet was the kickoff of this art cafe series last weekend! I appreciated the beginner friendly crochet class from Avery of Citizens Crochet where we learned all the basics for a fun and relevant project starting to work on a crocheted coffee cup holder. The class also came with a drink ticket to redeem at Brothers and Sisters across the street for a coffee or matcha of your choice. I had to get the honey cinnamon 🍯💅✨ it felt great to be creative, embrace an analog hobby, and have great coffee while doing it There was a mix of people here that came solo, with friends or boyfriends, so it felt like a good social vibe whether you had a group in mind to go with or not.

new café in the seaport ☕️ with outdoor patio seating and beloved donuts 🍩 Daily Provisions officially opened on May 13 ✨ This NYC chain first came to the Boston area last year with its Harvard Square location, but the Seaport location at Commonwealth Pier is somehow even larger! There’s plenty of seating both inside and out on the patio by the water, and the same menu with Joe Coffee and the famous maple crullers that café visitors go crazy for They were giving out free crullers for the first 100 visitors this morning to celebrate! I literally ran over and it was my mid run treat :)

A true neighborhood gem near Boston serving local coffee and delicious treats in the middle of a baking supply store Elmendorf is the perfect cozy vibe for a rainy day, serving up local coffee from Barrington and a bevy of baked goods and breakfast sandwich options. After you finish your coffee, it’s so fun to browse all the cookbooks, pans and other baking tools the have in stock. They also mill their own flour here (very cool). One of my favorite parts of East Cambridge- they also organize the Grand Prix du Pain every year! Such a blast. My order: small cold brew (4.65) and lemon poppy scone (4.50)

Mine came with a garnish of cookie dough on the side (yum). Seating was limited here but eventually freed up; the drinks were $14 which felt pretty reasonable for an espresso martini. Maybe it was an opening night rush, but it did take forever to be able to order and get our drinks. There was standing room and a DJ going too so a few options if you wanted something super serene or a little more upbeat. Definitely can see the girls coming here to take cute pics and have a fun dessert cocktail, just be prepared for a little bit of a wait for both drinks and seating if you want it.

spring 🤝 coffee shops with outdoor seating this is one of my favorite seasons to visit this café tucked away in Harvard Square– the ambiance is lovely year round, but it can get pretty crowded inside during the cooler months, so when the tables and picnic benches are outside, you get the same experience with a whole lot more space and a dose of sunshine! 📍faro, arrow st (harvard square, Cambridge)

Every single one of these opened in the past few weeks or months, so if you’re planning your next weekend sweet treat adventure and want to try somewhere new, these should go on the list! @elephantinebakery has stellar baked goods and coffee in a brand new location in seaport. Originally from Portsmouth NH, I’m not even a croissant girl usually but the almond croissants here are some of the best I’ve had (and there’s chocolate and pistachio too ofc) @dailyprov just opened a Harvard square location to bring NYC faves to the neighborhood. The maple cruller is a cult classic fr 👌 @ninewintersma is a Korean American bakery with delicious and unique flavor combos like a sesame chocolate chip cookie, injeolmi milk bread donuts and a gochujang sticky bun. @evaslittlekitchen opened recently in West Concord with oodles of delicious pastries. From cookies and croissants to unique giant macarons in fun flavors, you can’t go wrong here.
