We knew you’d come in God’s timing. The perfect time.
Holding on to that truth became a safe place to land when we got tired.

The days were still long, the losses still heavy, and every no still hurt like hell.

But the thought of you, the possibility of you, kept us going.

We can’t wait to meet you. 🌈
xo, Mom & Dad

To anyone still in that place, holding grief, holding hope, we see you. Your story isn’t over.

@paypal is paying $236K for a Head of CEO Content. @openai is paying $393K for a Content Strategist.

The most valuable companies on earth are now hiring humans to act like a media team for their brand. That tells you everything.

Your favourite brands aren’t selling products anymore. They’re running shows that sell products on the side.

The proof is everywhere if you know where to look.

@grunsdaily sold to @unilever for $1.2B in 32 months by out-publishing the supplement category.

A bagel shop in New York built a separate Instagram show interviewing people in their line and racks tens of thousands of views per video. @leonsbagelsnyc

A hat brand from Virginia shot a 4-day cinematic film on the Bonneville Salt Flats to launch their biggest collection of the year. @sweethatco

A clothing brand made its grid look like stills from a film and built 261K followers selling expensive clothes. @shinzobrand

Different categories. Same playbook. They all stopped acting like product companies and started acting like studios.

If you’re a DTC founder, you’re not running a brand anymore. You’re running a studio that ships product.

The millennial marketer isn’t going anywhere…

But the skill set that built the last decade isn’t the same one that wins the next one.

Most of us were trained to optimize — CAC, paid acquisition, campaign management.

Those skills still matter.
What’s changing is what sits alongside them.

The new internet rewards the fastest read on a cultural moment. That’s a different muscle — one most marketing training never built.

The brands winning right now aren’t replacing their teams. They’re adding people who can feel a moment forming before it peaks.

That’s not a threat to what you know. It’s an honest look at what the job now requires.

Comment “SCALE” and I’ll send you the free guide on how to build a brand point of view before someone else owns the conversation.

But the skill set that built the last decade isn’t the one that builds the next.

Here’s what I keep seeing. The brands pulling ahead right now aren’t spending more than anyone else. @davidprotein put $55 cod on billboards to sell protein bars. @getgraza went after Bertolli with a squeeze bottle and three million dollars. @joinladder caught women walking away from cardio before the rest of the category noticed, then built around it.

That’s not a budget thing. It’s a judgment thing.

The people who are great at CAC and running campaigns aren’t going anywhere either. But that’s a different person than the one who can feel a moment coming six weeks out, and most teams are stacked with the first kind. The brands winning already figured out they need the second.

I made a free guide on how to actually build a point of view. The whole process for finding yours and owning it before someone beats you to it.

The @theouai NYC activation by @spectra this weekend got me thinking about the shift every brand needs to pay attention to right now. The brands people defend, recommend, and return to — they get people together.

@lilbieber did $15M in merchandise at Coachella.
The previous record was $1.7M across two weekends.
He beat it nine times over with @skylrk that was eleven months old.

@davidprotein launched in September 2024 and is on pace for $140M in year one. A protein bar. Acting like a fashion house.

@realeactives did $5M on launch day because the world was built two years before the product existed.

Different categories. Same blueprint. Story. Signal. System. Then the launch is a formality.

I built a diagnostic to score your brand across the three pillars of worldbuilding.

I started @houseofdreamr with nothing more than an idea, to tell stories through what we create. Back then, I didn’t have the clarity I do now.

Finding God changed that. It gave me direction, brought me to my family, and refined the purpose behind this brand.

It’s about faith, family, and creating something that lasts.

The journey hasn’t been easy, but God doesn’t call us to comfort, he calls us to purpose.

I’ve found my stride, and this is only the beginning. 🕊️

The IRL brand activation is quietly becoming the highest-return play in DTC marketing. 76% of Americans say in-person experiences make them feel more connected to a brand, and Forrester expects 1 in 3 consumers to choose offline over online in 2026.

Reach gets you seen.
A room gets you remembered.

@bandit turned a Brooklyn warehouse into a racetrack where the finish line became a dance floor. @nudeproject ran an Ibiza villa like a reality show, with creators wearing pieces you could shop straight from the content. Different budgets, same idea.

And it scales down. A dinner with 20 of your best customers. A pop-up around a product drop. People remember how you made them feel, not what you posted.

I made a free guide on building a room people remember, at any budget.

Quick test. Name one brand that memed the Empire State climb. No scrolling back.

Canva, Cisco, KitKat, DoorDash, even a UK electronics chain that sells kettles.

@edsel already said what needed saying. Brands rushing in like algorithmic parasites with zero self awareness. And he asked three questions none of those teams bothered asking.

Does the moment have anything to do with our product?
Is it relevant to our customer?
Does it actually serve anyone?

Run the kettle ad through those.
No, no, and no. It still shipped. Somebody pitched that, a team built it, and a manager approved it.

We spend all day complaining about AI slop while actual humans in actual meetings are putting out work sloppier than the machines.

Funny thing is, one post passed all three questions.
The Empire State Building itself.

They posted a ring shot from the observation deck, where you can propose without getting arrested. Nobody else on earth could have made that post. That’s the difference between owning a moment and renting one.

We took his three questions, added two of our own, and made it a one pager we run before touching anything viral.

@rhode threw one party at Coachella in April and walked away with $4.9 million in earned media. @nike got 50,000 women running a race at night, a third of them for the first time in their lives. Both of these get called “events” in a marketing plan, and they’re doing completely different jobs.

An influencer event is borrowed reach. You’re paying people who already have attention to point it at you for a weekend, and it works. What it won’t do is make anyone stay. Getting noticed and getting chosen are separate problems.

A community event flips the budget toward people who already buy from you. Smaller room, nothing goes viral, and it builds the one thing the festival party can’t: a reason to still be your customer next year. Bandit built their whole running brand this way. Run clubs, races, a membership. Those members end up worth about $850 each over their lifetime, and that number came from people showing up every Tuesday, not from a media buy.

The expensive mistake is grading one event on the other one’s scoreboard. A customer dinner will always look pathetic next to a festival weekend’s earned media report. Check who’s still buying in twelve months and the math flips.

Slide 11 has the four calls I make before anything gets booked. Save that one.

The whole system fits on one page, I called it The Guest List. Which event to run, who’s in the room, what to measure, and the one mistake that wrecks both.

Marketing answers to three bosses now, and most teams only listen to one of them.

*The Gen X exec wants the big campaign.
*The millennial wants the brand story.
*The Gen Z on the team wants it to feel like culture, not an ad.

They’re all a little right.
Running just one of them is why you keep hitting the same ceiling.

Campaign only, you reach everyone and connect with no one. Story only, people love you and forget to buy. Culture only, you get a viral week and nothing to keep anyone around.

The brands that actually scale don’t pick one. They run all three and let each cover the others’ blind spot. Even Clinique, the brand that basically wrote the campaign-first playbook, just ran its first creator-led campaign.

So the real question isn’t which playbook is right. It’s which one is your default, and which two you keep skipping. I built a 9-point audit that scores you on all three and shows which to borrow next.
