It’s time for an AirPods app. There are now too many tools and little toggles buried in Settings at this point.

Wow, $799 for Meta's new screen-equipped Ray Bans AND the neural wrist band. That's way less than I expected. Can't wait to test these.

News! Meta is rolling out a mandatory software update for its Ray-Ban Meta glasses that directly addresses our reporting from last month.

If the glasses detect that the recording LED has been physically tampered with or drilled out, the camera will be disabled.

Last month, Anthropic asked if I wanted to test its Claude-powered vending machine in our offices.

One month later: The vending machine business is bankrupt, but morale is higher than ever, we have a free PlayStation—and a new pet fish!

In a review of my household safety evaluations, I identified five incidents in which my child escaped the sandbox, reached the kitchen and gained unauthorized access to the snacks. The incidents occurred 16 months ago but has only now come to my attention. This post explains what happened, how it happened and why my child is better than your child at everything.

On an airplane recently, a source of mine spotted a competitor’s slide deck from a well-known media company, snapped photos and sent them around. At a big tech company, employees share things in Slack that they’ve learned by glancing at other people’s screens on flights in and out of SFO. Newsletter today on how screen snooping is happening everywhere and how built-in protections are coming to our laptops and phones. t.co/nBiXPNylRH

Is there a great Mac email client? Like an actual great one where I won't find myself going back to Gmail web four days later.

Apple’s new Liquid Glass design makes iOS 26 the biggest iPhone software update in years. But how many people are just going to head straight to Settings and switch the Glass off?

As someone who has repeatedly tried to have sex with ChatGPT (for work! for the book I am working on! I swear!), this is great news. For humanity, not so great.

So did OpenAI basically just destroy the ChatGPT Mac app? I'm great with Codex and Work being integrated but nobody puts Chat in the corner.

Some personal news. For real. I’m doing one of these. Deep breath…

After 12 years at The Wall Street Journal, I’m leaving. Twelve!

I’m starting my own consumer-tech media company, building a new home with the same mission I've always had: help real people navigate the tech (and AI) changing their lives. I’m so excited and so terrified!

I can’t wait to start building and hiring. If you want to follow along (and be first to hear what’s next), sign up at the link below and subscribe on YouTube. No holding small, puffy microphones. I promise. Probably.

It would make for a great exit story if I said I was leaving the Journal because of some big fallout—and the office printer system slowly poisoned me. The Journal changed my life. I’ve learned from the best journalists in the business, made lifelong friends and was given the freedom to take risks and make at least six stipples of myself—and one of my dog.

Thank you to the many people I can’t possibly list here and to everyone who watched my WSJ videos, read the columns, argued with me in the comments and made this the most fun job in the world.
