Now I’m a big believer in quality over quantity always. But I also believe that budget should never stop you from achieving your fashion goals and that everyone’s budget is different. With this in mind, I tried out a $165 suit to see how it compares to a $1000 suit - so that you don’t have to. Was it worth it? Well, the fit is better than I was expecting and a little time at the tailor will definitely fix most of the issues I found. The fabric though, will always fall short at this price point. It’s mostly synthetic so even the small amount of linen won’t make it very breathable. In saying that, the jacket is unlined and the fabric is incredibly lightweight. With regards to sizing, I’m 1.78m (5,83 feet) and weigh around 67kg (148lbs) - my size is usually a 46 jacket and 30/31 trousers. After checking the size guide on this suit I went with a 50B though, I should have maybe gone with a 52A for longer sleeves and a slimmer waist. Now I’m a big believer in quality over quantity always. But I also believe that budget should never stop you from achieving your fashion goals and that everyone’s budget is different. With this in mind, I tried out a $165 suit to see how it compares to a $1000 suit - so that you don’t have to. Was it worth it? Well, the fit is better than I was expecting and a little time at the tailor will definitely fix most of the issues I found. The fabric though, will always fall short at this price point.
