PART 3 Boston on a Budget! 🇭🇹🍴 EDIT: TUESDAY to SATURDAY from 11AM - 3PM, you can build your own bowl and get a lunch plate for $7.99, and it come with a mini can of soda 🍚🥤 @gourmetkreyol serves authentic Haitian food, offering a variety of options. when I say variety, I mean they got vegan and vegetarian options….gluten free options….AND halal option too they have a simple menu to choose from for the lunch deal, or you can get a bigger plate with some special premium options for $13.99 (a great portion) here’s what we ordered: - Halal Stew Chicken + Rice & Beans ($7.99) - Fried Chicken + Plantains ($7.99) - Stewed Turkey with Haitian Black Rice and Baked Mac and Cheese ($13.99), again noting that this was basically 2x the size and you can pick from specialty menu items!! they all come with pikliz which is Haitian pickled veggies. I LOVE bc it was very vinegary and spicy. I needed it with every bite also it was my first time and the regulars there were so nice and kept hyping up the food, which to me is a beautiful sign that @gourmetkreyol is well loved 🥹 follow for more cheap eats in Boston! @viviandfoodie on IG✨ #boston #haitian #haitianfood #rice #macandcheese #chicken #comfortfood #cheapeats #friedchicken #lunch #fall #bostonfood #bostoneats #visitma #massachusetts #newengland #trendingreels what to do in boston, fall in boston, cheap eats in boston, rice plates in boston, haitian food in boston, dessert in boston, lunch deal boston, boston food

the long awaited second location of @lanner.noodlesbar is opening MONDAY (10/20)!! and just in time for soup season 🍜 I absolutely love their cozy Cambridge location but equally love their chic and modern location in Seaport the menu is the same with some extra Seaport only specials like their handcrafted tea blend. my favorite was the Black Sesame Roasted Milk Tea though (are we surprised) it’s so hard to pick favorites when everything is good but my new found love is their Beef Rib Chili Oil Noodles with wide noodles. you get a giant hearty beef bone and it’s actually incredible. I can’t imagine this dish with a thinner noodle, BUT you are able to customize your noodle dishes with any size noodle you’d like! of course the Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup is a classic so I’d recommend that if you want a soupy dish. my MUST GETS are the Classic Soup Dumplings (perf parts of meat and fat and soup) and the addicting Crispy Mushroom Bites. I also tried the Plum-Marinated Tomatoes and really like it in between each bites of noodles be sure to check out their newest location for the most comforting dishes!! congrats @lanner.noodlesbar 🫶🏼 🚇 short walk from the Courtyard stop on the silver line! 💌 follow for more Boston food recs on @viviandfoodie on IG✨ #boston #seaport #waterfront #lanzhou #noodles #handpullednoodles #soup #comfortfood #asianfood #fall #chinesefood #bostonfood #bostoneats #visitma #massachusetts #newengland #trendingreels what to do in boston, winter in boston, boston seaport, cambridge food, date night in boston, hand pulled noodles in boston, chinese food in boston, boston food

we’re back with another Boston on a Budget!! because there are many spots in Boston you can actually eat at without breaking the bank 💸 do NOT sleep on your local Vietnamese businesses! King Do is an OG spot, but recently relocated to an even better location. they do cafeteria-style meals where you can build your own plate, or even order hot dishes that are made-to-order I often go here to grab their ready-to-go items like their spring rolls, salted egg yolk bao, shrimp dumplings, etc!! there are lots I didn’t even include in the video, but it’s all around the $5-$6 range, or just an extra dollar or two for some bigger items, with some reaching double digits for fuller meals ☕️ their Vietnamese coffee is a fav, soso good and it comes with that extra crunchy ice!! I love adding salted cold foam on it (makes it over $5 but it’s WORTH) they are open EARLY like 5am early (I have never gone myself but I’ve passed by very early before and can confirm) so if you ever need an early meal to-go or want to stop by if you’re craving Viet food and want to try something new (because they have PLENTY of stuff), visit King Do in Dorchester 🫶🏼 🚇 ~5 walk from Savin Hill station on the red line! follow @viviandfoodie for more Asian food recs around Boston! #boston #dorchester #bostonfood #asianfood #massachusetts dorchester recommendations, boston food, cheap eats in boston, bakery in boston, dorchester food, vietnamese food in boston

it is absolutely FREEZING in Boston rn so here are some drinks to keep you a little warmer and places I’ve made the effort to leave the house for ❄️ all the deets below ⤵️ 📍Jibei Chuan I usually wait things out after seeing it go viral, and this QT drink was on my mind so I made it over to Chinatown to try this. was it the best HK milk tea I’ve ever had?? no but it was good! and cute!! and like $5ish!!!! the teapot “steams” forever too it’s just so adorable 🫖🧋 📍@jaduboston JP is a little out of the way for me (commute wise) but it’s always worth it when I take a step inside their cozy space. I tried their hot Cardamom and Clove Latte last year and was obsessed (cold is delish too), so I knew I’d enjoy their Chinese Five Spice latte this year. perhaps it was also from the kick in their bfast sandwich, but I swear towards the end of my drink, I really tasted the spice 😂 mugs by @mak_ceramics_ <33 📍@mai.izakaya word on the street is they use Godiva chocolate and you knowwww that’s the legit stuff 🍫 the base tastes amazing already so making it a lil boozier is really a treat, and I love the thin croissant 🥐 🍵 BONUS I added @phinista.cafe in there because I literally stepped in the snowiest conditions and went ON THE TRAIN for this because I needed my matcha fix and their pandan matcha saved the day. this is at their Cambridge location right by Porter station on the red line! follow @viviandfoodie for more recs in Boston✨ #boston #bostonfood #chinatown #winter #dessert winter in boston, cafes in boston, matcha in boston, cocktails in boston, boston waterfront, chinatown boston

food in Boston that I can’t stop thinking about (as someone who goes out to eat a lot!!) part 2?! these are fun to make so I’ll do more of these yay 🫶🏼 a small collection of some of my favorite recent eats! follow @viviandfoodie for more food recs in Boston✨ @babashawarmausa chicken shawarma this was the most authentic shawarma wrap I’ve ever had. they basically make everything in house or it’s imported which is a hugeeee plus. their fries are ADDICTING, seasoned to the max, and their garlic sauce, pomegranate molasses, and housemade hot sauce is perfect. yes get all three 🤭 @aatmaatwidowmaker clay pot lamb belly biryani the most tender lamb belly everrrr. absolutely divine. it comes out piping hot and made to order. as someone that loves sauce, I love a rice + sauce combo and I had some of their Aatma sauce at the table so I ate it together. with a piece of the lamb belly too? no wordssss @kajikenbos abura soba aka brothless ramen I love a brothless noodle dish, where the sauce sticks onto the noodles so it holds all of the flavors together. umami packed!! I personally like adding more vinegar to my bowl to give it another flavor profile (so you don’t feel stuck with a rich flavor) 🍜 @motherseasttavern smashburger I’ve had a few burgers since then and I stillll think this smashburger is the best 🍔 never a boring side. it melts into your mouth as you take another bite. ugh it’s SO good. and their fries>>>> @briccosalumeria mortadella sandwich the softest focaccia bread with the creamiest stracciatella and STACKED with mortadella. I can’t think of a better sandwich. it doesn’t need a gazillion things in it to make it shine. it’s $20 but it’s HUGE #boston #massachusetts #bostonfood #asianfood #newengland indian food in boston, burgers in boston, italian food, chinatown boston, downtown boston, lebanese cuisine, small businesses in boston

😩 reporting some important info: this is news to me but BerryLine now maxes at 4 toppings LOL. super valid of them because they really do fill the toppings to the brim and it takes time doing all of that, so it sort of helps with the line was very excited to try the Ube Banana, but I still prefer original tart, ALWAYS. I’d say the ube banana is a good mix of both flavors, but I personally prefer those flavors with a creamier and thicker texture anyways happy 70 degrees weather Boston <33 follow @viviandfoodie for more sweet treats around Boston! #boston #dessert #foodies #icecream #massachusetts

🍕 this was one of my most memorable meals in Vietnam so I’m SO excited for a closer location in New York @pizza4ps.us yes I willingly went to eat pizza in Vietnam and I have no regrets❣️ may be some of the best pizza I’ve ever had!! and not only that, but it’s pizza with some Vietnamese twists, like the Bo Kho (Vietnamese beef stew) pizza and renditions of dishes like the crab pasta that literally tastes like Bun Rieu (Vietnamese crab noodle soup) 🪴 their food takes a farm-to-table approach and they even have their own dairy farm in Vietnam. but while their origin resides in Vietnam, there other Asia locations have so many delicious approaches from that country all of their menus are online so just see for yourself how good it all looks!! and in case you didn’t know, Pizza 4P’s is a wordplay on Pizza 4 Peace, and the 4P’s stand for Pizza, Passion, Place, and People ☮️ I’m sharing my experience from Vietnam, but from what it looks like on their socials, they’re still committed to the local and sustainable approach even in the states. so expect a whole lotta that and more. and huge congrats on your first U.S. location @pizza4ps 🫶🏼 I don’t know when but I WILL be going to Pizza 4P’s location in Brooklyn 🍕<33 follow @viviandfoodie for more Asian food recs✨ more Vietnam content loadingggg #nyc #vietnam #vietnamesefood #boston #summer boston food, vietnamese restaurant in new york, new york pizza, vietnam food recommendations, brooklyn restaurants, asian food, new york city, brooklyn vietnamese restaurant, saigon food, ho chi minh city food

🍕 this was one of my most memorable meals in Vietnam so I’m SO excited for a closer location in New York @pizza4ps.us yes I willingly went to eat pizza in Vietnam and I have no regrets❣️ may be some of the best pizza I’ve ever had!! and not only that, but it’s pizza with some Vietnamese twists, like the Bo Kho (Vietnamese beef stew) pizza and renditions of dishes like the crab pasta that literally tastes like Bun Rieu (Vietnamese crab noodle soup) 🪴 their food takes a farm-to-table approach and they even have their own dairy farm in Vietnam. but while their origin resides in Vietnam, there other Asia locations have so many delicious approaches from that country all of their menus are online so just see for yourself how good it all looks!! and in case you didn’t know, Pizza 4P’s is a wordplay on Pizza 4 Peace, and the 4P’s stand for Pizza, Passion, Place, and People ☮️ I’m sharing my experience from Vietnam, but from what it looks like on their socials, they’re still committed to the local and sustainable approach even in the states. so expect a whole lotta that and more. and huge congrats on your first U.S. location @pizza4ps 🫶🏼 I don’t know when but I WILL be going to Pizza 4P’s location in Brooklyn 🍕<33 follow @viviandfoodie for more Asian food recs✨ more Vietnam content loadingggg #nyc #vietnam #vietnamesefood #boston #summer boston food, vietnamese restaurant in new york, new york pizza, vietnam food recommendations, brooklyn restaurants, asian food, new york city, brooklyn vietnamese restaurant, saigon food, ho chi minh city food
a cafe that actually has good drinks, built from a great cause, AND stays open past 2pm>>>> @motw.coffee @motw.quincy is officially open THIS SATURDAY (2/7) and they’re offering $1 small drinks ALL day long‼️ drinks featured: 🤎 Spanish Latte- my overall favorite, classic but they make it taste great 💚 Pistachio Latte- the pistachio cold foam>>>> 🥭 Mango Matcha- love that they mix the mango into the milk and make the matcha frothy ☕️ Yemeni Chai- strong and very aromatic on the spices and if you want more than just coffee, they have plenty of sweets and some savory items too. my favorite was the Biscoff Tres Leches Cake and mango 3D cake (the crunch was sooooo satisfying). also big fan of the chicken empanada many pros here: ⏰ open late 💻 a lot of work space 🅿️ plenty of free parking in their lot 🍴many options suitable for any tastebuds and I encourage looking through their history and what they’ve done for the Muslim community! “At MOTW, every cup of coffee served is a testament to our story, our commitment, and our community.” 🫶🏼 congratulations on the opening!!!! 💌 #boston #quincy #massachusetts #cafe #coffee quincy massachusetts, new in boston, cafes in boston, pastries in boston, boston cafe, quincy recommendations

I love a good buffet and Feng Shui in Burlington is worth the troop!! 🥟🍣🦀 weekends only from 11:30AM - 2:30PM, they offer a selection of Chinese food, dim sum, AND sushi. and it’s actually pretty good sushi for AYCE I was shook at the quality!! it was my second time there and it was even better than when I had it the first time. although they don’t have as many options as your typical Chinese buffet spot, the quality for everything is definitely up there and makes up for it $27.95 buffet for AYCE sushi, dim sum, and Chinese food? that’s a yes in my book 😭 lines can get long since it’s a small space but the staff there are pretty much ON IT with refilling food. I’m guilty of keeping an eye out for the fresh platter of sushi LOL oopsie they generally have the same items but from my own personal sources (my boyfriend’s mom :p) they change things up every now and then! so can’t expect every visit to be the same BUT you will be eating good regardless follow @viviandfoodie for more Asian food recs around Boston✨ #boston #burlington #chinesebuffet #asianfood #brunch all you can eat sushi, dim sum in boston, chinese food in boston, burlington recommendations

more cute food spots in Boston>>>> love that there has been a surge of Japanese cafes and restaurants 🍡🍘 @sandotable.boston is serving craft Japanese sandwiches, where everything is made from scratch. yes, the shokupan milk bread, buns, and toast too 🍞 whenever I see double tamago, I mustttt order it 🥚🍳 great egg salad overall. was hoping for a more brighter yolk, this was more like a tea egg! still yum tho hehe their twist sandos and hamburg sandos are GINORMOUS. I got the yuzu fish ‘n chips and it has plenty of Japanese tartar sauce and yuzu kosho cabbage salad. panko fried to perfection between the shokupan bun. highlight for sure! now, I know the prices are quite steep. but I’ll really put into account that everythingggg is made from scratch down to the breads which is huge. and because it’s so big and comes with salad/fries, this is literally an entire meal. you WILL be full. I love the edamame in the salad 🥗 their menu is intriguing enough for me to want to come back. and I WILL be back for their burgers, brown sugar toasts, and desserts still figuring out what my matcha order will be, we’ll see if I find a fav 🤭 ‼️ they are under soft opening hours and menus as they take in feedback for their grand opening, so go give them a visit and help support your cute local sandwich shop 🥪 🚇 ~10ish minute walk from Downtown Crossing on the red and orange line! follow @viviandfoodie for more Asian food recs around Boston✨ #boston #massachusetts #japan #bostonfood #asianfood japanese food in boston, downtown boston, sandwiches in boston, lunch in boston, burgers in boston

dot cakes are EVERYWHERE here are some viral desserts in Boston that I’ve been seeing all over so I’m trying them myself and reporting my findings 🫡 🧈🍦 butter-dipped cone from @snacksboxboston skeptical at first but honestly it’s delicious….I mean their ice cream is already amazing on its own. I’d share it though because it’s a lot and feels heavy. and on a hot day quite messy to eat. something worth trying once cause it’s still a mind boggling concept imo and I love watching the butter harden up lol 🍰🌈 dot cakes from @littlemisscupcape before we get into it, this was GOOD. it was yummy! but nothing evolutionary. they acted fast and are the first Boston bakery to get on the trend which is clearly working because they have been running out fast. props to them on keeping up with the demand and making people’s day 🫒🍨 olive oil + sea salt Greek froyo from @salonikigreek I think this is the swirl of the summer. olive oil is having a moment rn and a pinch of the sea salt goes such a long way, granted I’ve been a huge fan of this combo already. the window itself is convenient for a quick order (and it’s cute obviously) but you can just order inside their store if anything **the window is only open Thursday-Sundays but you can get their froyo in-stores all week long if I had to choose a dessert I’d get frequently, it’s def the Greek froyo. 100%. it’s great for a light post-meal treat or even as a midday snack with some fries (like I did 🤭🍟). if you can’t make it to their Newbury location, @7thstreetburgernyc is in South Boston starting tomorrow!!!! 🍔🍟 they’re open from 11AM-11PM, with the goal of staying open later (in the works!) I’ve had it several times in NYC and it truly is WORTH THE HYPE. the burger is incredible juicy and cheesy and the onions and their sauce does wonders….so simple yet so good. the first bite hits every time I love when menus are small, so you know they really focus on what they’re selling and it’s exactly this: burgers and fries the only decision you have to make is whether or not you want a single or double patty, if you want your fries classic or loaded, and whether or not you want any of it spicy. and honestly, MAKE IT SPICY 🌶️ 🪴 plus the have impossible burgers so my vegetarian crew can also visit this spot!! 📍477 W Broadway, South Boston, MA 02127 #boston #massachusetts #nyc #burgers #bostonfood
