๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ– Mesaโ€™s newest restaurant is bringing a unique Vietnamese tabletop grilling experience to the Valley. At DZO BBQ, youโ€™ll grill meats right at your table or have the staff handle it for you. The best part? Wrapping everything up with fresh herbs and veggies in rice paper, then dipping it into their house sauces. There are currently three combo options to choose from: the Vietnamese BBQ Combo, Prime Beef Combo, and DZO Signature Combo. Each comes with fresh herbs, rice paper wraps, and house sauces, or you can build your own meal by ordering everything ร  la carte. Donโ€™t skip the starters. The Garlic Fried Rice, Garlic Cream Cheese Bread, and egg rolls were some of our favorites. The drink menu is so fun, with Vietnamese inspired cocktails like the Pho Spiced Margarita, Melonball, and Lemongrass Mojito. If youโ€™re looking for something nonalcoholic, order the fresh sugarcane juice and add kumquat. PS: this is not all you can eat. The focus here is quality ingredients, beautifully marbled cuts of meat, and genuinely great service! โœจ Grand Opening is TOMORROW! ๐Ÿง๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท Arizonaโ€™s first Sulbing is officially open in Tempe!! They have over 400+ locations in Korea and are known for their signature bingsu with ultra fine shaved milk ice that melts almost instantly in your mouth, creating a texture thatโ€™s somewhere between snow and ice cream. ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿž From farmers market favorite to their very first brick and mortar ๐Ÿฅน You might already know Letโ€™s Toast from the long lines at Uptown Farmers Market, but now the husband and wife team behind the viral Korean breakfast sandwiches has a permanent home at Uptown Plaza in Phoenix. The goal was to bring affordable Korean street food inspired flavors to AZ in a way that still felt unique. And honestlyโ€ฆ they nailed it! Their baker makes the milk bread in house daily and it seriously makes the sandwiches. Soft, buttery, slightly sweet, and perfectly crisped on the outside. ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฅข NOW OPEN - this Michelin recognized abura soba shop is now here in Phoenix Kajiken Ramen is one of my go to spots every time Iโ€™m back in the Bay Area, so seeing them open in Arizon feels surreal. If youโ€™ve never had abura soba, itโ€™s soupless/dry ramen where the focus is on thick chewy noodles, a savory sauce, and mixing everything together. My forever orders are the Nikumori with minced pork and pork belly and the Homura with that extra umami from niboshi and nori. And always with a poached or raw egg yolk for that extra creaminess. Add takoyaki and karaage on the side and itโ€™s a perfect meal every time. Check out Kajiken currently in their soft opening at Desert Ridge Marketplace. @kajikenramen ๐Ÿ“21001 N Tatum Blvd Ste 34-1140, Phoenix, AZ 85050

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿš— Tikka Drive is officially Arizonaโ€™s first late-night Indian drive-thru! What makes them stand out is that theyโ€™re doing fast food completely differently (no seed oils, no artificial food dyes, no microwaves, and no freezers). Everything is made fresh using family recipes from Punjab, and you can actually watch the food being prepared in their open kitchen. The food also comes out surprisingly fast without tasting rushed or overly processed. I tried the chicken curry (DF), chana masala (DF), garlic naan, cucumber salad, Indian lemonade, and more, and the flavors tasted so fresh and homemade. I also love that they have options for everyone including dairy-free, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and halal choices. Plus, every entree can be customized from mild all the way to authentic hot depending on your spice preference ๐ŸŒถ๏ธAnd even though itโ€™s a drive-thru concept, they still have indoor seating for around 50 guests if you want to dine in. Theyโ€™re also open late until 10:30pm! Perfect for when you get those late night cravings. Thank you to Rahul for having me in! ๐Ÿฆž๐Ÿฆช $40 seafood tower? Say less. Tower Hour at Maple and Ash is one of the best weekday and weekend steals right now. Every day from 4 to 6 PM they offer happy hour. Not only do they have a fire roasted seafood tower with prawns, scallops, oysters and clams with garlicky butter and chili oil (which you can add the pasta back and have fresh pasta tossed in that buttery seafood goodness), they also offer $3 raw or fire roasted oysters with all the classic accompaniments and you can upgrade them with caviar if you are feeling fancy. The small bites are anything but small - we loved the wagyu French dip, lobster frites and whipped ricotta for additional shareables. Drinks are included too with $15 cocktails and $10 wines. Highly recommend the Whiskey & Donuts, Dropout & Mrs. Mint, and Fireside Pineapple Margarita. They also offer small bites, like the wagyu pigs in a blanket, pork belly nachos and ribs. So make sure to cross this holiday bar off your list! Thank you to Bar Blitzen for having me in.
