🆕NEW🆕 Restaurant opening April 10th! You may know them from City Kitch, but now Kristy’s Creole Kitchen has their very own spot to call home. And this is a beautiful restaurant with patio seating out front. The flavors were banging and the mocktails were gorgeous. I visited during their media night event, so it was popping and there was hardly a seat to spare. I definitely think Kristy’s Creole Kitchen will settle in nicely and find huge success in this new location. ✨Here’s what we tried✨ 🍤Deluxe Grits- I got mine with blackened fish and shrimp. ‼️Nashville chicken sandwich fans I’ve got some news for you! PoppyCox has recently opened up a location in Optimist Hall. Well known for their incredible quality, you may remember them as a food truck for 3 years. They opened in Optimist Hall about a month ago. This sandwich is huge and their heat levels are amazing ranging from Wimpy all the way up to stupid hot. We tried hot and it was blazing. The meat was tender. The pickles were tangy, and it was everything I imagined it would be. We also ordered the Tendies in mild which is kind of like a medium everywhere else. These chicken tenders were ginormous. I love drizzly, honey on them and the comeback sauce with tasty. We also tried their fried pickles, which were a perfect compliment to the Nashville chicken sandwich and the Tendies. 🚨Now open! The Garrison has just opened up a second location in Tega Cay South Carolina. And they’re bringing the same gorgeous vibe and delicious bites as their Pineville location. I can’t get enough of these two appetizers the crab hush puppies and Buffalo cauliflower. I have a habit of ordering them every time we go. I also tried the pan seared scallops and mushroom risotto. It’s creamy perfection and the scallops absolutely melted in my mouth. This beast is the Garrison Burger and we also tried the Garrison seasoned fries. I don’t know if you know this, but the Garrison holds a special place in my heart because I had my wedding reception at the Pineville location so I am beyond thrilled that their new location is in Tega Cay even closer to me. 🇩🇴I just got back from the Dominican Republic, lol I’m kidding. I went to Punta Cana in Charlotte. This Dominican restaurant pulled out all the stops for their summer showcase. We started off with delicious drinks, like the tropical rum punch and sangria. Of course we had to try the margarita and Mojito as well. Their cocktails are super delicious and fun. If this doesn’t scream summertime, I don’t know what does. We were lucky to try some Dominican food as well. We sampled traditional bites like Mofongo, Quipes, pastelitos, yuca balls, yuca fries and chicharrónes. This is the place to really experience authentic Dominican food locally. I need to come back just to try out more dishes! Let me tell you the whole atmosphere was like a giant fiesta: music, dancing, and laughter everywhere. We rounded out the evening with some flan and Bizcocho. And as if it couldn’t get any more Dominican, they were dominoes being played in the room next to us.
