58/365 - i don’t want to believe in Christ just because i’m scared of death. I want genuine belief. At this rate I won’t be able to live with this anxiety. I honestly do some of the biblical answers to these questions but what if they just don’t sit right with me? What if I still have anxiety? content sometimes seems like my last outlet to keep going in life. My dreams. others: 1. When humans lose a part of their brain they lose their sense of self even though they are still alive. Does this disprove the soul? 2. There’s also an argument that believing in a higher power can cure addictions, but this again goes with placebo, and design doesn’t indicate Christianity or God, also fine-tuning argument has obviously fallacies. 3. I’m naturally an overthinker and i have intrusive thoughts, so it feels as if God designed me to never believe in Him. 4. Morals can be explained by evolution, also distinct tribes develop diff morals as they grow

trying to live out Jesus’s will for the first time Why do I believe in God? Besides history, 1. I hate my ego. I hate the way I negatively impact the people around me when I’m myself. I’m a sinful, disingenuous, shameful, prideful, evil filled person without Jesus. God is my savior. He’s changed who I am to my core and has made me sanctified. 2. You don’t have to have all the questions answered, all Jesus calls you to do is trust Him. The only question you need to answer, is “IS JESUS LORD?” If so, you can trust Him, you can follow him, you can call on Him. The young rich ruler. 3. Interesting thought to have there about brain washing. I mean, have you ever wondered why people across the world has seemingly converged on some form of religion? Why does our brain even do that? Don’t you wonder why we have some sort of yearning for meaning beyond ourselves? Why does meaning even matter to us? You’re correct, in the absence of some higher power, life is meaningless. This is talked about in Ecclesiastes. Even Marcus Aurelius talks about how most things are meaningless in Stoicism. I think the human brain for some reason is addicted to meaning. Life is not merely about procreation. It would be strange for us to evolve past lizard brains if that was the only motive. I think our consciousness is a big hint to what lies beyond ourselves. It’s a much more terrifying belief to imagine there is nothing else. And you have to have just as much faith in that as you would in a higher power that exists to give your life a purpose.
