A love story nearly ten years in the making.

Kim Cattrall quietly married her partner Russell Thomas in a small ceremony at Chelsea Old Town Hall, wearing a Dior suit styled by Patricia Field herself. Just twelve guests, a Philip Treacy hat, and one very cinematic kiss.

They met in 2016 when she appeared on BBC Radio 4 to talk about insomnia.

He followed her on Twitter. She followed him back. The rest took care of itself.
For someone who once said she didn’t “see a real need” to get married again… time really does change everything.

Love this for her.

Chick-fil-A is officially heading to London.

The American fried chicken chain has confirmed its first London restaurant will open at 90 Eden Street in Kingston-upon-Thames, taking over a former HSBC branch. While an exact date hasn’t been announced, it’s expected to open in early March.

The brand previously attempted a UK expansion in 2019, but locations in Reading and Aviemore closed after backlash tied to its past charitable donations and public comments by former leadership.

The company says it has since changed its giving policies and now supports charities focused on homelessness and education.

Kingston will become Chick-fil-A’s fourth UK location, following Belfast and Leeds, with Liverpool next on the list.

Would you queue for it?

London is throwing it all the way back to the ’30s next month.

The London Transport Museum is bringing back restored 1930s tube trains for a limited run over the May Bank Holiday.

You’ll be able to ride the vintage 1938 train stock along parts of the Piccadilly line, including a loop from Northfields through Heathrow or routes between Cockfosters and Northfields.

Each journey lasts around 45 to 70 minutes, with original Art Deco interiors, classic seating, and details that feel straight out of pre-war London.

Tickets start at £25, with the option to ride in the front “Gold” carriage or standard cars.

Oscar winner Gary Oldman, 67, has officially been knighted by Prince William, who revealed he’s a fan of his Apple TV series Slow Horses.

Oldman is one of Britain’s most celebrated actors, known for roles in The Dark Knight trilogy, Harry Potter, The Fifth Element, and his Oscar-winning turn as Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour.

Calling the honor “very emotional,” Oldman said it even surpassed winning an Academy Award.

Yes, this is real. And yes, London does this every year.

The No Trousers Tube Ride returns on Sunday, January 11, when hundreds of Londoners casually hop on the Underground wearing everything except their trousers.

Here’s how it works:

 • Meet in Chinatown at 2:45pm fully dressed
 • Head to the Tube around 3pm
 • Trousers off. Underwear stays on
 • Ride a few stops like nothing is weird
 • Get off. Get dressed. Disappear into the city

It’s free to join (minus your normal Tube fare), underwear is mandatory, and the goal is simple: make strangers laugh and remind everyone that London will always be… London.

🏆 Richmond-upon-Thames took the top spot thanks to its open green space, low population density, and consistently high happiness scores.
📍 Westminster followed closely behind, boosted by its restaurants and listed buildings but held back by the city’s highest crime rate.
⬇️ Brent landed last, scoring lowest in culture and hospitality categories.

Full ranking available at The Telegraph, and yes, people are already arguing about it.

London is about to get a taste of one of America’s biggest fast-food chains.

Raising Cane’s has announced its first-ever European restaurant will open at 21–22 Coventry Street, taking over the former Angus Steakhouse near Piccadilly Circus.

The Louisiana-born chain is famous for its chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast and its signature Cane’s Sauce, and says the UK has received more requests than anywhere else outside the U.S.

This won’t be the last, either. Raising Cane’s has confirmed plans to open more London locations, with sites already being explored around The Strand, Oxford Circus, Paddington and South Bank.
