The dinner took place at Le Violon, one of Montreal's hottest new spots. Located on Marquette corner of Gilford, the restaurant was recently named the best new restaurant in Canada, according to Canada's 100 Best.
TMZ reports that the chef personally welcomed Perry and Trudeau, who even stepped into the kitchen before leaving to thank the staff. While the nature of the outing remains unclear, both are recently single. Perry, who recently split from actor Orlando Bloom, is in town for her Bell Centre concert on July 30.

Montreal's Saint-Paul Church (Église Saint-Paul), a century-old heritage building in the Sud-Ouest borough (near Côte-Saint-Paul, at the intersection of Avenue de l'Église and Rue Laurendeau), caught fire around 1:30–1:40 a.m. on February 23, 2026.
It escalated to a five-alarm blaze, fully destroying the vacant structure.
The flames spread to an adjacent seniors' residence (a former rectory converted into a retirement home), forcing the evacuation of about 70–73 seniors and roughly 150 people total from the area.
No injuries were reported, and groups like the Canadian Red Cross assisted those displaced. Over 100 firefighters responded.
