I spotted this Lexus SC400 (or was it an SC300?) driving down the street, and it was definitely a head turner! I used to have a pearl white one, but it wasn't bodykitted like this one because I didn't have the budget to mod it - I was dailying it while building my AE86! Do you think these cars are good for daily? Or do you prefer an LS400/430 or GS300/400/430? Or IS300? I spotted this Lexus SC400 (or was it an SC300?) driving down the street, and it was definitely a head turner! If you’re involved with the drifting community, by now it’s likely that you heard the news that Alex Pfeiffer @battleversion passed away recently. I tried to dig up some old photos of him that were different than what others have already posted up. When @cw_calvinwan @drift_historics and I met him in the SF Bay Area back in the late 90s, Pfeiffer was the first person we ever met who could actually drift his AE86 well and link turns. I dug up an old photo album and took a pic of old film photos of his OG red AE86 coupe that he had back then. He took us on some pretty intense ride alongs in his AE86 while hitting mountain roads in the middle of the night, wearing shorts and slippers while kicking the clutch in. It’s not often you see a JZZ30 Toyota Soarer driving on the street! You hardly even see the USDM equivalent Lexus SC300 much anymore. These cars really do feel like a more luxurious JZA80 Supra. I wish I got to meet the owner! ——— It was awesome seeing this car, because I used to have a Lexus SC400 a long time ago. I didn’t have the cashflow to build it up back then, because I was mainly writing and shooting freelance projects for small car magazines during the time I owned it. I was struggling just to pay rent and travel to D1 Grand Prix events in Japan and Formula D events across the USA. I had a high paying job before I started shooting for these car magazines, but I quit cause after I attended D1GP for the first time, I just couldn’t get enough of Japanese car culture and drifting and always wanted to be around it, capturing the cool cars at events. Finally installed the new @boslla C4 Chameleon LED bulbs into my AE86’s H4 headlight housings. These bulbs outperform the previous halogen H4 bulbs I had, AND they allow you to easily switch the color temperature of your headlights from 6500k (bright white) to 4300k (yellowish white) to 3000k (foglight yellow) just by turning the headlights on and off. What kind of vehicle would you think these would be useful in? #headlights #ledheadlights #classictoyota #AE86

This video I made for the #raybanmetachallenge has me wondering if NORMAL non-car people can even decipher typical conversations that we have as car enthusiasts with modified cars? 🤔😆🤷🏻‍♂️ I brought my GTR-spec Work Emotion CR Kai and some OG Advan RS version 1 wheels to get mounted and balanced by @its_paulo_ at his tire shop near @AllegiantStadium. Since I have lots of rare aftermarket Japanese wheels and don’t want my wheels scratched when mounting tires, this is pretty much the only local tire shop I trust for mounting and balancing my tires. His shop is a small local startup business (he doesn’t even have a sign LOL), but Paulo is knowledgeable about how to stretch and flip tires safely, and has good prices on tires too. Since I have lots of rare aftermarket Japanese wheels and don’t want my wheels scratched when mounting tires, this is pretty much the only local tire shop I trust for mounting and balancing my tires.
