This was taken after my last exam just before heading into my final year of graduate school to become a Chiropractor. Hair busted, nails busted, and mentally exhausted... but my parents drove all the way down from Toronto to New York to pick me up and help me move into the house I was renting during clinical. And the whole way there they were just reminiscing on how far l’d come and how proud they were of me. I literally don’t care how repulsive I look in this video, I love it so much because this really sums up who they are… and how it’s made me who I am today. I don’t want to hope in something I may not receive in order to minimize my disappointment. I also want to clarify, just because someone is hoping for the promises or favour of God, doesn’t mean they aren’t simultaneously walking in obedience and not focusing on God himself. To me, a Christian content creator is someone whose entire page is rooted in preaching and sharing God’s word, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But that’s not who I am. I’m not a preacher. I’m someone who wants to shine my light through my life. Through lifestyle, wellness, fashion, skincare, chiropractic stuff (eventually), just… living. God shows up in my content because He’s my moral compass, but not everyday because I’m giving a word. I never want to hide my faith. EVER. But I also believe there’s room for balance. I can talk about God, share what He’s doing in my life, encourage and inspire and also show my personality, my humanity, the full picture of who I am. I don’t have to say His name in every video for Him to be all over my page. And if that costs me a brand deal or two? I’ve thought about that... But shrinking who I am?! Never gave that. I know I’m not the only one navigating this. So tell me where do you guys land on this? Is there space for both?

I’ve had this internal battle for a while now… Christian content creator vs. content creator who’s Christian. And I think there’s a difference. To me, a Christian content creator is someone whose entire page is rooted in preaching and sharing God’s word, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But that’s not who I am. Something about the end of Job really sat with me. Before the restoration… before the blessings… God asked him to forgive the very people who hurt him. That part isn’t talked about enough. A heart check. An invitation to soften instead of harden. Forgiveness doesn’t mean what they did was okay… It means you’re choosing obedience over bitterness so your hands are actually open to receive what God has for you next. Which is difficult but good thing we don’t have to rely on our own strength. I came back to Toronto after leaving DC, walking through a visa rejection, and I realized something was missing… community. Then God whispered: create what you’re praying for. So I followed through! I made the flyer easily with the help of @canva and set everything up on the most efficient event site @eventbrite . Then trusted obedience without a guarantee. Safe Place is a third space for young adult believers to laugh, share testimonies, ask real questions, and build faith together. This reminds me that the most important follow-through isn’t consistency or discipline, it’s obedience. Because your yes to God can become the answer to someone else’s prayer. Follow for more 🫶🏽
