THE WORLD’S BEST PR PARCEL recently arrived at my door and I’m so honoured (not an understatement) to receive this one! I love @hudabeauty so It was a massive pinch me moment when I opened a box to find these inside! And it’s all thanks to Sia @lippylinks and @hudabeauty. Now unless you have been living under a rock, you would have seen these all over insta and for good reason! The Lip Contour Lip Stains are insane! Designed to be long wearing (12 hours) , this is an understatement. When I did swatches for these, I had stain especially from the darkest brown on my arm for a couple of days despite having a couple of showers! I have also heard that a lot of people have had issues and complained that there’s only 1ml of product that deems to dry up quickly- with some claiming you get one use only. I have not found this to be an issue when the pens are stored downwards and you have a little help from gravity. I store these with the help of my lippy links and change out the lipstick or lip oil depending on the look I’m going for so it means I never lose them in my bag or drawers! Application is effortless- it glides on and you can line your lips with the precision tip simply- even when you are in a hurry I found! Coming in 8 shades, you’re bound to find a favourite! I will say the baby pink is super light though and I had some difficulty showing it on my skin or lips (even Huda herself says it’s very light!). The shades are- * Baby Pink - Soft Pink * Rosewood - Rosy Pink * Toasty Brown - Caramel Brown * Soft Nude - Neutral Brown * Cinnamon - Brick Brown * Warm Brown - Burnt Brown * Cherry Red - Blue Toned Red * Rich Brown - Rich Taupe Brown Then there’s the jelly lip oils! It’s safe to use daily. This definitely has become my latest gold standard for anti-ageing and I look forward to seeing the long term effects. IVE ALWAYS BEEN FASCINATED BY Snail mucin in skincare and admittedly, I’ve been dubious about if it works well for me and my skin. I have recently discovered Dr. G’s @dr.g_official_global @dr.g_official Black Snail Retinol Ampoule though which has had me convinced that this is the snail product for me that actually works! HAPPY TUESDAY BEAUTIES! I am back with part 2 of the newest releases from Huda Beauty that they kindly sent me- the Faux Filter Jelly Lip Oils. These oils come in 3 shades (with a limited edition 4th shade just released on Huda’s website which I’ve also just ordered and will show you all)- 💋Juicy Pink Lady- the lightest sheerest rosy pink scented like apple 💋 Juicy Peach- sheer peachy nude scented like peach (my favourite!) 💋 Juicy Goji- sheer electric pink scented like goji berry (Slide 2- swatched in this order) I have been obsessively applying these- they are an actual joy. Comfortable to wear, they deliver a high shine plumped finish without feeling sticky and they soften the lips immediately. After the oil wears off, lips are still left pillowy soft also. I wear the stains as an all over lippy with the oils over the top or line my lips and fill in with the oils. Both look beautiful on and so juicy! As mentioned, these shades are sheer and so don’t add any major colour other than a light tint but they look beautiful over the richer colours in the lip tints, making them truly come alive. I know everyone is all over the stains and the criticisms/issues of them which I personally didn’t find when stored correctly, but the lip oils are flying under the radar as a result and they really should not be missed. If you love lip oils, you will adore these! Don’t forget lippy links either- they are a godsend for storing these correctly and not losing them in the black void that is my handbag! I cannot recommend them more- a simple but life changing solution! • Are you picking up these oils? I’m so excited to be participating this year and hoping to fundraise for this wonderful cause. ✨ But what is Liptember for those who don’t know? It’s an Australian mental health campaign held every September that raises funds and awareness for women’s mental health. The idea is simple but powerful: wear bright lipstick 💄 as a conversation starter to help break the stigma around mental health and encourage open chats. Let’s look at these individually- Snail Mucin + Peptide Facial Toner – Non-comedogenic, super gentle, and feels like a reset button for my skin. It deeply hydrates while helping improve texture – such a great everyday step. I love snail mucin as an ingredient and find that it really helps brighten and hydrate my skin whilst strengthening the skin barrier. I had not tried a toner with the ingredient however and loved the added bonus in this toner. Waterfull Hyaluronic Acid Toner – super hydrating, this one plumps and softens my skin so nicely, I love layering it under my serums for that juicy glow. Waterfull Hyaluronic Acid Sun Stick –A chemical sun stick formulated with 10 types of Hyaluronic Acids to deeply hydrate and soothe skin, while protecting skin against harmful UV rays with broad spectrum SPF50+ PA++++. It has a lightweight texture that leaves skin with a smooth, non-greasy finish and no white cast. Perfect for in the handbag in its stick form. SMOOTH, SOFT, SLEEK HAIR is something we all want and I have found all this and more is achieved with Hask- a brand I’ve long seen but barely tried. I received the @haskhair Keratin Smooth Shampoo from Influenster to the test and both my hair and I love it- so much so that I went out and bought the matching conditioner! In both, the formula is infused with keratin + jojoba seed oil, and it really does what it promises — fights frizz while strengthening each strand. My red is looking extra glossy, my hair feels so much softer, and best of all it’s cruelty-free! Containing centella asiatica and low molecule hyaluronic acid, the all in one solution serum is a deep hydration powerhouse! Redness is calmed, the skin barrier is repaired and happily hydrated leaving skin refined, soft and smooth. Texturally, this is lightweight and watery, almost viscous, which means it absorbs really quickly into the skin with a cooling effect, it’s also not sticky, uncomfortable or greasy. Perfect for all skin types especially sensitive and acne prone skin (as it prevents excessive sebum) , it also sits lovely with my other skincare and under my makeup with no issues. The 50ml plastic bottle with in built dropper is nice and sturdy with good suction. Scent sensitive friends also, this one is for you as it has no major scent. Perfect if you’re on the drier side or need a soothing night-time boost. It balances effectiveness and gentleness well, especially for sensitive or dry skin. Expect comfort, hydration and gradual improvements in texture and elasticity rather than a radical overnight transformation. For those with oily or acne-prone skin, or who dislike heavier creams, using a smaller amount, applying onto slightly damp skin, or reserving for drier seasons might help get the benefits without feeling too heavy. This cream will probably be most appreciated by people who Have dry, very dry, or sensitive skin, especially in cooler or low-humidity climates, Want a night cream that focuses more on hydration, skin barrier support and comfort than aggressive anti-ageing or lightweight feel, Prefer minimalist products: free from fragrance/colour/lanolin etc. and Need something decent for night use, potentially layering under lighter day creams or serums. Overall it’s an affordable, comforting & reliable skincare staple. You can use this stick to contour, sculpt and add warmth to your skin easily on the go. You can even use this product on cheeks and lips. Ingredients include Fruit Extracts to nourish and renew the skin whilst adding antioxidant protection, Ginseng to revitalise and balance and Aloe Vera to soothe and calm the skin. The stick glides onto the skin effortlessly with great colour payoff in one sweep, and can be used on bare skin or the top of your foundation. I find this shade works better for me on top of foundation. I will be showing this in action very soon! This product is paraben free, not tested on animals and is multipurpose. . IN WINTER, I tend to use heavier skincare bases on my face but I will always prefer my makeup bases to be lightweight. A lightweight and breathable base I’ve been loving recently is Nude By Nature’s Perfect Skin Filter Foundation. This foundation gives such a natural healthy look to the skin with a soft focus finish (satin) that blurs imperfections whilst evening out the skin. This is a buildable foundation so you can choose if lighter or medium to full coverage is needed. I find my skin appears smooth without visible pores without looking heavy or cakey.
