I’ve been struggling with my confidence and body image a lot more than I expected since having my second little girl. I haven’t looked in the mirror and cried in a long time, but the past few months it’s been a regular occurrence. And honestly I’m finding it so hard to understand as body acceptance is something I’ve worked so SO hard on over the years and felt like I’d finally conquered. I don’t know if it’s all the noise around thinness this time, if it’s because I haven’t seen that many specifically postpartum bodies who haven’t “bounced back” online, or if because really, very vulnerably and truthfully, I just didn’t expect my body to change that much considering I was barely able to eat during this pregnancy. But whatever it is, I KNOW that my body is not the issue. My body isn’t bad. In fact it amazes me more than it ever has. It’s not my body that needs changing, it’s my mindset and confidence. And slowly, she’s coming back babyyyy 💃🙏🏼🤍

the fact I can reel off a long list of women who changed my life, changed history, raised incredible children, made me laugh until I cried, fought for people’s rights and helped me become who I am today …but I couldn’t tell you what size a single one of them wore, probably says everything that the inner voice in my head on those low confident days needs to know ♥️

I know a lot of you grew fond of the little glimmers of magic I’ve shared of my wonderful mother-in-law over the many years. So I’m truly heartbroken to share that Lorraine passed away last week and there really aren’t the words for how much of a hole that’s left us all with. There’s the boring old trope about mother-in-laws from hell, but I’d always unashamedly brag about how I’d “hit the in-law jackpot”. I knew it, my friends knew it, and I’m so so glad she knew it too. I said it to her for maybe the 100th time on one of our last nights together... We were away on holiday and the kids had had enough so I took them up to bed. Twenty minutes later I opened my door to Lorraine stood there with Aperols in hand, saying “I thought we could have a drink together on the balcony whilst the boys watched the entertainment. I’m not fussed about seeing the Queen tribute anyway.” Lies - that would’ve been her favourite act of the week and she knew it. But that was her; the kindest heart, always putting others first and never wanting any praise. We chatted and chatted for hours that night - thank you for that universe 🙏🏼 Lorraine loved her family in ways I’ve forever been in awe of, and everyone around her loved her back so hard. She adored her babies and her seven grandbabies beyond words, and my girls are so lucky to have known that love, as am I. Our family will never be able to fill the hole she left but we’ll carry her love and kindness with us forever 💛 and I’ll be forever grateful for everything she taught me. Thank you so much to all of you who have shared your love, help and support to her, Ross (god he’s been incredible in all this, she’d be so bloody proud) and all of our family over the past weeks, it truly means a lot xx

Well this supermarket try-on was an absolute ROLLERCOASTER 😂😭 Laura got told by some random lady she looked better on telly (RUDE), Lottie gave her a 15 minute lecture on kindness….and then, just as we were giving up all hope on humanity, we bumped into the beautiful Leila who brightened up our day!! a month of watching one of my favourite people on the planet become a mum to my favourite tiniest person on the planet. Not sure I’ll ever find the words to describe how much love and pride I feel for this woman 🥺♥️ witnessing her become the most incredible mum to the most beautiful little boy, and getting to be part of their world is truly one of the greatest honours of my life. Not sure how her or Matt haven’t issued a restraining order against me yet but I just cannot get enough of that little pud. And getting to hold all three of our babies together makes me feel like the luckiest bloody person in the world. Will go back to calling you a slag very very soon but for now, so beyond proud of and in awe of you @laura.adlington. You really are smashing it and deserve every minute of the utter magic that is little George ✨

We thought we’d try out our girl @jessontheplussize’s new brand @deserveclothinguk and we were NOT disappointed. You can absolutely tell these were designed by a plus size woman as the fit is just perfection! So much love and thought has gone into them and the quality is unreal. as much as I would love to say I feel 100% confident in my body 100% of the time, I think the end proves that that’s not quite the case 🥲. My head told me that crying on the internet probably wasn’t the best idea for any sleep-deprivation-related anxiety right now but my heart told me F it, this is life, this is postpartum, we’ve all been here, baby or not. And actually, it’s not even about the bullshit pressure to “bounce back”, it’s about the logistics because lord knows I need to leave the house right now but my wardrobe did not get the memo. Anyway, now I’ve stepped out the door I’ve got a whole lot more perspective and the sun is on my face and I have my beautiful baby but in the moment, this shit feels hard. And you know I wouldn’t change it for one single second because all of this = having her. But I also know I’m not the only one that’s been there so here we go, enjoy my tears x

silly little vid but I was vvv excited about trying it on 😂 cannot believe how beautifully Mandie @loftyfrocks transformed this tablecloth into the most perfect Christmas tradition dress. I’ve always dreamt (as in for the entire month since I had the idea) of a dress that I could wear every year and that would become part of my girl’s’ childhood memories and one day be theirs. And when I saw this tablecloth I knew it was the ONE. Then LOOK what Mandie did - how bloody clever is she 🥺😍 she made it into my absolute dream dress and I’m so excited to wear it!! Also small biz shoutout as I’ve bought quite a lot from @loftyfrocks now but I know how much time (7 hours!!) goes into making these pieces so if you’re ever after a handmade dress either in one of her beautiful fabrics or your fave tablecloth or old duvet cover, Mandie is such a wonderful and talented woman to support 🩷
