Sept 15th 2009 my life changed. It was never the same after that. My message was simple, help youngin's not feel alone and bring shelter for those that were lost. I have made countless fans throughout my 18 year run, and it all started with this album.
I wanna thank Plain Pat, Emile, Dot, and Kanye. With out you 4, things would not have gone the way they did. U believed in me. U saw something in me I dont think I even noticed in myself at first. Ur my brothers, and I love yall endlessly. I hope you all know we did something no one else has been able to do since, and thats change the whole game for the better.
I sit in my thoughts sometime and skim memories, moments that made me feel good, moments that made me feel bad. All of it. And I know it all was apart of the plan. To all my fans across the world, to any kid that listened to this album or is just discovering it now, I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART. These are my stories, this is my heart, this is my soul. Man On The Moon 3: The Chosen came out 5 years ago today. This was a big moment. I was faced with the reality that either this album was gonna be really good or a disaster, and if I fucked it up, I wouldve ruined the MOTM trilogy and my career hahaha but u all liked it, and it fuckin rocked the world. Thank u to everyone that blasted this album, still do, and supported me w this one. This moment revived my spirit and gave me the confidence to keep going. JEAN. Written, directed and starring me. Filming 2027.
For years people have asked me about playing Jean Michel Basquiat in a film. But no project actually came to be. This year, I finally said fuck it, ima write it myself. Did a wardrobe test, got a wig made (this isnt the final just a rough, trust me we gon get it perfect). But I wanted to tease what we been cooking a bit. This one im so proud of and excited about. To write a film about someone who existed was a challenge, but it was a welcomed one. A lot of research, books, talks with people that knew him. This film will be a love letter to Jean, the 80s and NY city. Jean has inspired me all through out my career, and it will be the biggest honor to tell his story in a way we haven't seen before. I know a lot of yall gon be like FINALLY hahaha I love it. This ones for all those dreamers out there 😌🙏🏾❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

9 Years today 😎 Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' is one of my ultimate favorites I made. Straight outta rehab I finished it and gave a strong outing.
