today i turn 41. damn. just doesn’t slow down. the thing about aging is only the blessed get the chance to do it, so i am thankful! well, i spent another year as the energizer bunny. more countries, more culture, more life, more wrinkles (from laughing). i fell out of love. i fell back in love maybe eight times, and back out maybe seven. i tried my best to stay humble. i ate about a trillion calories worth of some of the best and worst food on the planet. planes, trains, automobiles…boats were a big thing this year. i got tighter with my brothers, and found cracks in others that i thought were diamonds. i launched new brands, yet still didn’t open a single 10/10burger (i promise you that’s about to change). i flew my mom around the world first class and bought my father a new truck (thank you God). i lost a million dollars and left what i thought was my dream house. i lost another dog (RIP Henry). i lost some great people (Dingo we love you). i got to sit on a couch and interview my heroes and millions and millions of people watched along, which still never gets old to me. and damn, i got the chance to meet thousands of you guys all over the world which makes me happier than just about anything. as i get older though, i find the only thing more important than what i did, is what i learned. this year i learned to take it a little bit easier on myself. forgive myself for some of the things i can’t change, or maybe just can’t change right now. i learned to accept all outcomes good bad or other, and like the chinese farmer says “we’ll see”. i learned that sometimes it’s not you, AND it’s not them either, it’s just not the right fit. and more than anything else, i learned that these brains of ours are magical. we can be happy by simply being happy, whenever possible. and so hopefully that’s what you get from these photos, and all i ever want to give you guys, which is a little bit of happiness. love y’all.

it was all a dream!! man i can’t even begin to thank everyone for the love over the past couple weeks. it has been a dream of mine to have a shop in America for so long. my grandma used to bring me to paul’s hamburgers in milford, connecticut every weekend and i will also remember that. maybe 10/10 is that place for some kid now. life is crazy and i feel so thankful every single day. it does turn around and it does get better. i love you all!!
